Super 8 Memphis/Downtown/Graceland Area

Hotellpersonalen var trötta och ointresserade av gäster. Det tog två dygn innan personal kom till rummet och reparerade kassaskåpet. Trots ett antal städpersonal städades inte de allmänna utrymmena såsom korridorer och hissar. Rummet städades ordentligt en gång på under tre nätters vistelse.

close to everything a short drive to the city easy to get around in the city

no pool ,no work out area

nothing, it was the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed at. I mentioned to them about the trash outside my door and the flies, having to put a towel in the shower to shower. Hair all over the place. Felt like I needed bug spray to stay there. We left a day ahead of time due to accomodations

Location was great

Not a lot of restaurants near by.

The prices were cheap.

Front desk people were very helpful in giving specific directions. Internet computer was fast and always available. Adjacent parks were pleasant to be able to bird watch. The location was extremely handy., but I knew that from an earlier stay.

The place has changed hands in the 11 years since I was last there and seemed to have been painted on the inside. The grounds were untidy with debris that had been there for a long time. This was unpleasant to see everyday.

I liked the location of the hotel. It was really close to where we needed to be.

The staff was rude, the rooms were disgusting (stains on carpet, and the room smelled musty). The shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The back of the hotel was filled with old TV's, mattresses, and trash. The lobby looked very inviting, but the rooms were atrocious. I had two rooms booked and called around noon to verify everything was correct. When we got there, the gentlemen could not find our reservation, but later found it after he let us in a room anyways. My husband told the staff that the rest of our party would not arrive until 5am, and Samit said that wouldn't be a problem. However, it was a big problem. The reservation had been cancelled by the hotel since they did not check in before 4pm the previous day. They eneded up putting them in a smoking room (they are non-smokers), and were completely unwilling to give a discount for their error. I will never stay at this hotel ever again, and am more than willing to pay more money for a hotel that is a lot cleaner.

Not one thing. It was a nightmare. Filthy dirty, unsafe. GROSS>

The Hotel was the worst we have ever stayed in. But Memphis was good

Everything in the hotel looked tired which would not have been a problem if it had been clean. Some of the staff were friendly but we felt they were always trying to make more money out of us and we were being taken for a ride, literally. The breakfast was as expected bad, and the staff wanted to rush to clear it away, we didn't bother with it the second day. We will not be staying in a super 8 again. We should have listened to advice of others!

Location and the shuttle was a big plus!

Gracelands

Hotel was very shabby,rooms needed freshened up a lot with some tlc. I would not have this motel on my web site until things improved regards joseph allen.

Poor Hotel

nothing. It was the most awful experience.

Everything. The room was horrible. We were afraid to walk on carpet. All door hinges/knobs, toilet and shower had rust. The bathroom had water stains on ceiling and looked like it could fall down. The one bed had mold on sheets and after 3 requests for new sheet the clerk from front desk handed me to top sheets and ran away. The door adjoining to next room had a blood stain on door frame. The TV buzzed so loud we were unable to watch anything. If we weren't so tired and limited to budget we would have left and gone somewhere else.

Near to Downtown

One staff wanted charged 20 usd to take us to the airport instead of charging the price described on the hotel's wall.

It was convienently located.

This Super 8 is in need of repair. The pics on-line did not show the "area" surrounding the building which was an eyesore to say the least!

The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly, nice common area and free wifi, good price for the convnience of being right near downtown. The shuttle service they offer is wonderful and they are very fast!

The area is a bit run down but we already knew that, To those of you who arent from the Memphis area it may seem very... sketchy, but to those of us who are familiar with the area we know that most of Memphis is pretty run down unless you are in certain areas.

Budget Friendly, Staff was very friendly, Fair Comfort for resting my head. Great Access to the Interstates / Freeway Systems, Free parking

The booking.com price was the same price as if i would have called to reserve my room. This Graceland Downtown Location is located in a part of town that is not Vacation travel welcoming. Surrounding area looks as if it had been through a war and for then forgotten. Parking is a difficult because it is angled parking. You pull in and park, but when you have to leave you have to manuever around the angled parking because the lot does not wrap around the building.

Microwave/Fridge. Also front desk staff was very nice and helpful.

Water in bathtub kept dripping all night and kept me awake.

Not far from downtown Memphis as well as Graceland. Shuttle service provided to downtown for $3 which was efficient ($12 taxi journey) and helpful staff. Rooms clean and spacious. Good for an overnight stay.

The position of hotel was good

The room was totally not clean. My father was in his bed when a side of his boxer shorts, he noticed that he was wet and smoke in the urine of another lag ... also the bathroom was not clean. the front door was verry noisy..

Near to attractions but 10 miles frm Gracelands??

Bad crime area and dare not walk out at night. However did not experience any problems

I dealt with four different staff at the front desk on seperate occassions in relation to some admin help I required. The staff were all extremely helpful and generous with their time. I did not feel that I was burdening them, although they did go above and beyond to help me. That was very much appreciated. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable and an additional bonus for a low cost stay.

No major dislikes. Appx 7 miles to city centre, which was fine as hotels in city centre a lot more expensive. It does require a taxi ride into the city if you have no car.
