Great value for money - clean and comfortable with helpful, efficient staff. Good location for grabbing a quick meal after a long day sight seeing.

While they did overcharge me, the rooms were well worth what I paid (about $85/night). Clean, and freshly remodeled. Hvac system was noisy, but really unneeded for anything but clear the stale air at first entry.

Perfect for the money we pay and for the time we spent at the hotel.

Clean and close to downtown (although it is better to go by car than walking)... Super clean and confortable, big rooms and bathroom.

Front staff was friendly and professional. Room was clean. Good amenities for the caliber of room. Easy access to main street and close to downtown Monterey at freeway entrances.

Room cleaning solution was strong. Eyes irritated some.

Great location close to Monterey, Carmel and also a quick drive down to Big Sur and other spots. Manager was knowledgeable and helpful and room met all our needs, i.e. fridge and bath tub for baby. It was a great deal for the cost.

Room was not cleaned one day despite specifically asking them to clean it, and then we only got an apology -- no compensation. That was quite annoying especially given we had a baby and really needed the trash (and dirty diapers) to be taken out.

The motel was clean and comfortable. The rooms were good. Breakfast was served in the lobby which was a bit odd, as there is just bar stool sitting, and limited space, however having said that, it wasn't a big problem as guests moved on fairly quickly and there is always the option of taking food to your room. Breakfast was perfectly adequate. There was lots of information in the lobby on local attractions. Overall a good clean and functional hotel. Perfect for an overnight stay.

The motel is quite a way out of town and on a main road with lots of other motels on the same strip. Opposite the motel was a park with beggars that were begging at the intersection. We found that a bit off putting, but we didn't feel unsafe. In reality to do anything you need to drive in to town anyway, so you weren't really hanging around the local area. For a reasonably priced stay in Monterey this motel is good.

We stayed two nights at the motel, visiting Monterey and the surrounding area. The room was very spacious and clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was decent and nice. There is a lovely mall facing the hotel with some great shops, restaurants and groceries stores. The distance to downtown and tourist's attractions is only 5 minute drive. This motel also has a great wi-fi signal. The rates are a bit higher than you would expect of a motel, but not excessively so.

The pool was nice but the water were freezing cold...

Nicely remodeled rooms. Very clean. Close to shopping and restraunts.

Overpowering air freshener in the room.

Great location, few minutes walking distance from a large shopping mall with restaurants which was a welcome sight after a few weeks spent in National Parks across California. Good value for money as well.

All good - no downsides.

The room is big and comfortable. The beds are comfortable as well.

There was no place to sit at breakfast (breakfast is served at reception room). Most importantly, the cleaning lady forgot her cleaning glove (which I assume was inside the toilet earlier) above my clothes.

Mike Patel, the manager on duty was very helpful and friendly. Good location. Shopping at the shopping center was easy. Good restaurants in the area. Lalla's in the mall. 2 miles from Carmel exit!

Friendly staff, got a free upgrade to a larger room. Staff was also very helpful in explaining nearby things to see.

Not much . not friendly .no water for 3hrs no compensation for inconveinance

The beds and bathroom were terrible. Although everything was clean, the beds were old and the shower was too. You could feel the springs in the mattress and the shower had not been updated since WWII.

Convenience to freeway is always a positive on hotel/motel row in Momterey. Front desk staff was friendly.

Cleaning solution was overwhelming strong. Had to ask front desk to spray the room Left the windows open both nights I stayed.
