great and friendly staff. Clean room.
neighborhood was a little sketchy
Size of room, friendly staff
Old, run down, public transportation (bus) difficult and lengthy. Taxi cost was over $50 total per day.

Staff and facilities were excellent .
The distance from down town
I liked how close it was to downtown. We were able to get to and from downtown in 10 minutes or less. There was also a Walmart right down the street which was convenient. The hotel is in kind of a yucky looking area but most of New Orleans is yucky looking. Lol! The hotel itself was old but clean and quiet. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming.
Talk about southern hospitality. Angela was friendly, knowledgeable, out-going. We made it a nightly routine just to go down to the front desk and chat with her.. Miss Cathy, a great grandmother with more energy than anyone we've ever met kept out room sparkling. Breakfast was great (I need one of those waffle makers!!!)
The location is a little off the beaten path, a little far from where you may want to be but if you don't mind u-turns, once you've been there a day or two and know how to use the map app on your phone, getting anywhere is easy
We really liked the place. Good location great staff.
A/C unit was too loud. It was difficult to sleep. Breakfast could have been with a better variety.
Will stay here again. Loved the breakfast.
Needs flat screen TV!
This hotel was definitely the top hotel in this price range in which I have never stayed. And I travel a lot, so I stay in a lot of hotels in this category. What a pleasant surprise, that some people still take immense pride in their work and their business.
It's a bit out of town, so the taxi ride from the train station is a bit expensive. I worried about the proximity of major highway interchanges, but that was not a problem for the particular room I had.
Comfortable room; breakfast good, staff lovely
Price, friendly and helpfull staff, brekfast, location - just 10 min by car from French Quaters, close to shoping center, grocery store right around the corner.
Rooms need some upgrade
Shower pressure was poor.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Location was 5 miles from the French Quarter, but the traffic was not friendly. The breakfast was good.
There was road construction right in front of the property and there was a lot of U-turns involved. There was construction crews staying at the hotel, and they were not as quite as polite as they could have been.
room was clean. they let us leave our car there at no charge while we were on a cruise. continental breakfast was adequate.
Everything was pretty good and it is located about 10 minutes from attractions, which was nice.
The area was not the best. I just did not go out at night.
Good hotel and value for our money
Not in the best part of town, but hotel does have security and gates to help ensure safety
Close to the downtown. They agreed to change my reservation as I realised I was in the wrong part of the city and I had to move 20 miles away.
Room had windows facing inwards and with the walkway next to them, so basically, one sits in darkness or has zero privacy due to people walking by.
Good choice of restaurants, and. Walmart and windixie a short didistance away.
It was all pretty good.
Young lady at front desk was super friendly
close to highway and bus stop to city center, pool, simple but good breakfast
window could not be opened, a/c was too noisy
We ordered two non-smoking rooms. When initially walking into the building there was a slight mold smell by the receptionist. While walking toward our rooms I noticed that I could smell a lot of cigarette smoke, I am assuming because I was walking past the smoking rooms. When I made it to my room I was impressed because you could not smell neither mold or cigarettes. The rooms were immaculate. It was quiet. We slept in and ended up missing the breakfast. The pool appeared a little cloudy but that wasn't an issue because we were not planning on swimming during our stay. It was perfect for what we were looking for, a nice clean place to lay our heads for one night while passing through.
I ordered two rooms online because my husband and I were traveling with our 17-year-old son and our three-year-old. They didn't give you the option of booking adjoining rooms so I didn't know there were any of those available. The nice thing was that we were able to get rooms that were directly across from each other but had I known that I could've ordered a room right beside mine and connected to mine I would have preferred that. For someone who might want to swim, the pool is cloudy and I would not recommend swimming in it.
Considering the hotel prices in New Orleans, this is a good deal.
Noisy, pillows and mattresses are not comfortable at all and the room was not very clean. The electricity went out during the night and made our stay even more uncomfortable. Not a good experience.
cheap hotel, room was good , staff were good
very old area and buildings, not safe to walk around, derelict building next door
This is a Super 8, nothing less, nothing more. On our first night we found cockroaches in our room and spend a very bad night. In the morning we reported that to Tira at the front desk. They did not only changed our room immediately, but they upgraded us to one of their best rooms, one with a balcony. And they apologized. Things happen everywhere, but they had a very quick and effective reaction with our problem and solved it immediately. I liked that.
