Everything was pretty good and it is located about 10 minutes from attractions, which was nice.
The area was not the best. I just did not go out at night.
Good hotel and value for our money
Not in the best part of town, but hotel does have security and gates to help ensure safety
Close to the downtown. They agreed to change my reservation as I realised I was in the wrong part of the city and I had to move 20 miles away.
Room had windows facing inwards and with the walkway next to them, so basically, one sits in darkness or has zero privacy due to people walking by.
Good choice of restaurants, and. Walmart and windixie a short didistance away.
It was all pretty good.
Young lady at front desk was super friendly
close to highway and bus stop to city center, pool, simple but good breakfast
window could not be opened, a/c was too noisy
Considering the hotel prices in New Orleans, this is a good deal.
Noisy, pillows and mattresses are not comfortable at all and the room was not very clean. The electricity went out during the night and made our stay even more uncomfortable. Not a good experience.
cheap hotel, room was good , staff were good
very old area and buildings, not safe to walk around, derelict building next door
This is a Super 8, nothing less, nothing more. On our first night we found cockroaches in our room and spend a very bad night. In the morning we reported that to Tira at the front desk. They did not only changed our room immediately, but they upgraded us to one of their best rooms, one with a balcony. And they apologized. Things happen everywhere, but they had a very quick and effective reaction with our problem and solved it immediately. I liked that.
Staff with personality and willingness to help.
Pool does not open till 10 am.....even on a holiday, i.e. Labour day. It was sooo hot and a dip in the pool would have been great. Without a life-guard anyway, it could have been kpen 24/7.
Front desk was awesome and very helpful with any questions. Very knowledgeable about the city and things to do.
Location from New Orleans. Seemed ghetto.
I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN, BECAUSE OF THE STAFF, AND THE CLEAN ROOMS. THE WATCH MAN FOR THE HOTEL WAS SO FRIENDLY AND HELPED US WHEN WE GOT THERE. SHOWED US WHERE TO GO AND NOT TO GO DOWNTOWN. MADE US LAUGH..GREAT HOSPITIALITY. IF YOU STAY THERE, AND NEED A CAB HAVE THEM CALL MR LARRY..AWESOME GUY, NICE, HONEST, KNOWS HIS CITY..ASK ABOUT THE TOURS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES.
NOTHING, WISHED WE COULD OF STAYED LONGER
I have no complaints about this hotel. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. Although I was hardly there, only to change and sleep, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Hotel was located near all major attractions. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accessible. Free breakfast was a bonus.
Area hotel was located in was not the best area of town.
I loved this hotel. Staff, room, breakfast, pool, and even the creepy hotel next door! The bed was the best bed I have ever slept in!!
The rv park next door is weird and the WiFi connection sucks.
The staff was very friendly; they told us how to find cheap parking, and were always helpful with our sometimes ridiculous questions. They even lent us one of their wine openers when we forgot ours! Our rooms were clean and comfortable; it is a nice alternative for people who want to save some money (which I'm sure you'll spend elsewhere) while in the city. Its about two exits from the French quarter, so driving/bussing is a must, but for the price and treatment we received, it was worth it.
The pool closes at 9pm, so if you want to swim, you must go early in the morning, otherwise you're inundated with young children. ;) Other than that, no complaints!
the hotel offers parking for their visitors
It worked out great for us.
Rooms need remodel
Towels were old.
The free breakfast area was very clean.
Hotel was in a bad location, beds were very small, the hotel itself was run down.
As far as priced right in New Orleans goes this is the place. A little sketchy looking area, but I felt safe enough, heck you're in New Orleans not Mayberry. Our family doesn't need the Waldorf Astoria and don't expect a $90.00 a night motel to give those type amenities. Pool was clean, room was clean, staff was courteous. When we go on vacation our motel is for sleeping and cleaning up, if you want more than this you probably need to find somewhere else as there is very little to do close to this property. However you are a very short drive to the French Quarter and downtown. To all the people putting bad reviews on here you evidently expect 5 star amenities at a 3 star place. Good luck getting that anywhere.
The parking was nice in the fact that it is one way in and one way out and gated, however don't expect to park close to your room if you drive anything over a midsize vehicle as the underneath clearance is way low. Breakfast was very sparse, like I said before I don't expect much, but this was a bit less than I even figured on. Expect to go somewhere to eat. Will take two cycles to dry a small load of laundry in the dryer.
