Location, bed, tv channels.
The staff were not polite when I asked about the Wi-Fi. There was no Wi-Fi for almost three days. The handles to activate the shower are awkward.
close to public transport nice shopping/eating in the vicinity charming looks
You changed the rate for my son on a trip I booked
Close to attractions
Small parking facility Room facing Lombard street with poor quality window that did not close all the way caused loud traffic noise and poor sleep Arrogant owner Room was not ready when arrived at 4:00 P.M. and when we came back the owner gave our room to someone else
I was in town for a few days to visit family. The hotel certainly met my needs. The staff was friendly and the owners Robert and Susan were terrific. The hotel's location was perfect as it was in walking distance of lots of stores and restaurants. Overall, it was a great stay. I can't wait to go back.
Owner Susan very attentive! Friendly and professional. Easy BART into city followed by 3 mile taxi/Uber. (60-70 min). Taxi back to SFO 35-40 min. Sunday aft. GREAT location. We will be back.
remodel work only fair quality
The desk person which I think is the owner was excellent. He told us about the tour bus ride which I'm so glad we did. Great service
Guy at front desk really helpful and rooms clean
Rob was very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were kept clean by motel staff daily, close to the Golden Gate Bridge, Close to Fishermans Wharf, Would recommend this Motel to anyone visiting San Francisco
Comfy stay Close to centre of town
very small breakfast area
Friendly, helpful staff and great location.
No frills so you get what you pay for but the service and location make up for it.
Wifi was not very good and was switched off during evening
The location....2 miles from Golden Gate Bridge, 3 from the Wharf.
Breakfast was two types of cereal, boyds coffee, and paper plates...with no eating area! No amenities, except for free unsecured slow wi-fi. Look elsewhere, dont make the mistake I did by staying here unless you dont mind mold in the tub ( in the white caulk), a crooked mounted tv, and multiple attempts by staff to refresh the room at 930 am! For $325/nt. Midweek, the owners should be ashamed
Wi do did not work all day and night and coverage was poor
Like any sensible travelers, regardless of accommodation issues, we focused on enjoying our holiday in the wonderful city of San Francisco. We liked the location—Chestnut Street is a great neighbourhood street, the #30 bus took us to Fisherman’s Wharf and connections to other buses. We bought the 3 day bus pass ($26) that included unlimited access to cable cars and the F-Line—a good deal. It`s an expensive city, and GOOD QUALITY budget accommodation is hard to find; so for anyone who wants a basic bed and doesn`t care about the details, this motel could work. But we can`t recommend it.
The owner Rob was unfriendly on arrival, but became openly rude and evasive when we reported the fridge wasn`t working (we could have used it during the Oct 2014 heat wave!). For $150 a night we expected better, but we finally realized Rob had no interest in rectifying problems, and we adjusted to the tired decor, the toilet seat that swiveled when we sat on it, the missing handles on drawers, smoke from the hairdryer, and other things that showed lack of interest by the owners. Mostly it was Rob’s negative attitude that made this experience unpleasant for us. (If you get Room 132, we expect the fridge is still not working. Customer service is just not on their radar.) We will try a different accommodation next time.
Good wifi and ameninities. Close to swanky restaurants and shops on Chestnut in Marina area
Only unhelpful and unpleasant American I have ever met in 7 trips over last 35years! Didnt offer any information -had to be asked; horrible attitude on our arrival about my daughters travel sickness; told us not to use local busses: sneared when he mistakenly thought we were only going to Fishermans Wharf and ChinaTown, when we arrived and there was no parking didnt suggest anything, we parked outside and got a ticket (our fault not to notice the info on kerb but would be nice to have been warned) Its a long walk to all touristy stuff.
The owners were quite helpful in our stay
The bathroom was a step up
Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Good amenities in our room, although we had trouble figuring out how the shower worked :/ Good wifi, great location for bars/cafés/restaurants
very helpfull staff, clean rooms
This was a very clean, very good value, overall good location.
The room was very clean and comfortable as was the bed. Loved the area. The Manager was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Wi-Fi was extremely slow and often not at all.
Room had musty order, gave us the wrong room, walked in on some lady. Only 14 parking spaces had to park 2 blocks away. Not the greatest neighborhood.
There wasn't enough parking.
It is close to public transport, restaurants and marine area. The hotel has a parking wich was great , because if you have to use public parking you will spend another 30$ or more.
The fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and was automaticaly connected with lights and you cannot turn it off if you want to use only lights. We had breakfast included, which was very poor and there was no place where you can eat. You need to get your meal somehow to your room.
