Super 8 Stamford  

The room was dirty with cheese cream from breakfast somewhere at the Tv, only 1 towel at the bath, hair on pillow..very uncomfortable.

Staff was great and helpful.

The only think I can say that I liked about the Super 8 was that it was conveniently located and had a competitive price.for our needs,

Many things. First, I requested double rooms when I booked and was given a confirmation for double rooms at one price, but when we went to register they told us that the rooms requested were singles, which they were not, and they told us that the double rooms would cost more. We had not choice but to take the higher priced rooms. Then, the hotel was dirty, the sheets were dirty and the rooms were dirty., Then we could not find a place to park. There were 3 18wheeler trucks taking up most of the spaces in the parking lot. We had to park on the street at the back of the hotel and the only spot avaiable to us got us a $40.00 ticket. The hotel was loud, the other guests staying there were very disoourteous as they came in late and were very loud, slamming doors, etc. Then we were called at 3:00 am by the front desk asking if we were driving a certain truck with Florida license plates,which was blocking one of the other guests trying to leave. We were woken after already having trouble getting to sleep because of all the noise. When I went to the front desk the next norning asking if someone could adjust our bill because of the horrible problems we experienced, all they could tell me was that I would have to take that up with the manager who would not be in until 11:00 am after we had gone. No one offered to take our names and room numbers and offer to have the manager call us. All in all, it was the worst hotel any of us have every stayed at, and needless to say we will never stay at a Super 8 again. I intend to post these complaints and observations on the Internet as soon as I return from my travels.

Close to major highway

The bed was hard as rock. Glad only staying for one night, because both of us woke up with extreme back pain. The money we saved will need to be used to see our chiropractor.

Very noisy room. All night long I listened to the sound of cars and trucks rolling by. Breakfast was very poor - very little choice.

Room was comfortable and clean. Location very convenient...walking distance from a shopping center with grocery store. Easy access to highway. Staff responsive and competent.

it's a dump. a poor man's holiday inn express. i will never stay there again.

Do not stay here! Staff were nice and helpful, but the sheets had a strange smell, as if they were not clean. I stayed in a room with a double bed and there was actually a tennis shoe mark on the white sheet of one of the beds - obviously they had not been changed from the last costomer! I asked for new sheets, but they still had a strange smell and were stained. Also, there were some strange people staying there. Area were breakfast was served was very small.

A note from my colleague who stayed in the hotel: please take note to forbid all Super 8 hotels from any itinerary of anybody in the future… I won’t get into the details of what I have seen and heard in just a couple of hours, but they are just not good hotels…

Location, price and convenience for our travel plans the next day. Manager was more interested in giving another guest's dog a treat than in assisting us to check in. That may be good news to pet owners but we do like to be one notch above the other guests' critters when staying at a motel.

Manager was unpleasant; TV in lobby was overly loud and manager did not respond to requests to turn it down. The night desk person did so immediately. Dog hairs on the bedding. Room was to be no-smoking but place reeked and people smoked right in front of the entry door so every time someone came in the smoke came in as well....ours was a first room off the lobby and he would not change it....claimed no other rooms were available but someone without a reservation was checked in after we were.
