Score from 3095 reviews Good
good location adequate room
room small breakfast very basic plastic cutlery
Location and cleanliness of the hotel
Crowded breakfast room. No variety and not enough choices especially hot breakfast items.
Friendly staff, breakfast included in the room rates, excellent location.
Hotel under renovation, but no discomfort...just hallways a bit unfinished.
friendly staff clean rooms
tiny rooms,slow elevators, disappointing breakfast
I didn;t like the breakfast facilities. A window right into the fire Escape stair at the back
We received early checkin when we arrived. The room was very clean (although the bathroom has no vent so the towel rack and mirror frame were rusting). We were surprised how quiet the room was and the beds were very comfortable. The price was reasonable for the location...just steps away from Times Square, restaurants, shopping, etc.
The staff behaved as if it were an interruption to speak with us and never smiled. There was no one to help with luggage and when we asked about a cab to go to the train station we were told to flag one down ourselves. The concierge went to Starbucks and we were told she would be gone 5 min. Almost 40 min later she came back and acted like it was an inconvenience to speak to us. Desk staff knew we wanted assistance with theatre tickets and should have known that wasn't a service they provided so we waited to speak to the concierge for nothing and she was rude in her response of, "We don't do that!" Vending machines were in the basement and out of water. The ice machine also was not working. The front desk's response to if they might have bottled water for guests was to go down the street with an attitude that it wasn't there problem. It was midnight and even if they couldn't control the outage, they could have been polite!
Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Free internet (not Wi-Fi) was great. Location to Times Square good. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Room and bathroom very small but it is New York. No small fridge. Noise from people across the hallway was very loud. Not hotel's fault, inconsiderate people.
All the above
That fact is that after travelling from Melbourne to New York with two plane changes and thirty hours later, and we get to our hotel at 11pm, tired and hungry, they didn't have a room for us. I booked this acommodation nearly three months in advance. Not only that, there were two other parties that night that were shown to another hotel. Not efffing impressed. I sent an email direct the night before to ensure we were good for a room, and received a reply some hours later and all was good. (Not!) Dear Wayne Evans, Thank you for choosing The Hotel @ Times Square for your lodging needs. Location. Cleanliness. Price.
Elevators. Size of breakfast room.
The breakfast was bad. Many rude foreigners there in line, acting like they never saw food before. We ended up going to the McDonald's around the corner.
Good location Big room compared to similar hotels Good size clean bathroom Fast wifi Free computers in lobby Good continental breakfast
Super midtown location. Pleasant small room. Included breakfast.
location is excellent coffee machine in the lobby luggage room
breakfast - very poor, hardly any options
Bathroom had no fan so it was VERY DAMP AND SMELLED MUSTY.
The rooms are nice, clean, Location is the best - 3 min wak to times square, parking is avaiable 20 meters from the hotel but its expensive 30$ after doscount for any period of time up to 24 hours.
Stuff are ok
Good location, clean room and friendly stuff.
Furniture is quite old. I-phone charger fits old models only (was useless for my ipad air). The restaurant was crowded at breakfast.
Great location and friendly staff. We loved this hotel and would stay again.
maintenance service very poor. requested them to fix bath. got ignored. had three rooms with school children and no supervision.
Window view was brick wall.
Cleanliness, location, decor, good staff.
Extremely frequent log-in required for wi-fi. Expanded breakfast needed. Room very tiny for the price.
Liked most of the things in the hotel Breakfast was a bit hit and miss but fine overall. Great location, just near Times Square (not on ..as the name suggests) All in all a good stay and cheaper than others in the area.
The person who arranges the tours etc (not sure of what they are called) we asked her the price to book a transfer from the hotel to the train station, she said it would be $40, we thought that a bit expensive so ended up getting a taxi which cost less than $10. I hate being ripped off
The hotel is a block away from Times Square, was well-staffed and was good value for cost. The rooms were small (even with a king-sized bed) and the Wi-Fi signal on the ninth floor was poor, but I could not complain when everything else was great. Would highly recommend.
the location was great, close to Time Square, Rockefeller Plaza and Grand Central.
the room was not clean, when I checked in the dresser there was a dirty towel and a dirty plate. the bathroom was not thoroughly clean as well. I would consider this hotel as a 2 star not 3.
