Score from 160 reviews Good
clean room, good mattress, hot water quickly
either no WiFi service, or very spotty. Mostly only available in "lobby" which had small table and 2-3 straight back cheap chairs. Anyone with need/desire to use wifi while in room is out of luck.
Room was comfortable and clean. A decent price for our accommodation. The breakfast was just right.
It is located on a main road and there was some early morning commuter traffic.
Room was comfortable, with hairdryer, coffee machine, fridge, bath with shower.
1.not visible from the road 2. trying to charge me $1/per bottle of drinking water which normally is free for guest
Kid at front desk when I checked in was very nice. Room was clean and housekeepers were very nice too. Very little traffic noise.
Carpeting in hallway is very shabby and needs replacing. Carpeting in room (by door/at bathroom entrance) is a pattern that helps to hide dirt, but needs thorough, deep cleaning.
It was a bed and a roof
It was a wee bit run down.
Staff was too bad. Room was not clean.
The bed was super comfortable. It was quiet and clean.
The location. It was a bit far for our basic activities.
The parking was close to the room, and the beds were clean and firm.
The bathroom ventilation did not work, the toilet blocked (we used the plunger provided to us to clear it), the basin did not drain well, and the tub was slippery underfoot except where no-slip strips had been applied. Persistence was required of a family member who called us, as the desk staff with whom they spoke could not readily find a record of our being in the motel.
Price and convenience were good for what we needed.
The air conditioner and the refrigerater were both noisy. Something was wrong with the fan on th ac and it made some noises. Also the refrigerater had a squeal that went on most of the time. My husband could not find the milk for cereal during breakfast.
Location was OK
felt and looked unclean and ancient - stained carpets, peeling paint etc Neither hair dryer nor coffee maker worked, despite reporting.
Location, price. Dominos Pizza next door does room service!
Kinda grungy, strong cleaning product odor, mildew, phones didn't work, staff unhelpful and unfriendly.
Good location, good price, staff were friendly and helpfull.
Bed was uncomfortable.
To be honest everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and available for a longer period than most Motels. It was convenient for Public Transport to link with the Red Line Subway for access to the City. No 70 bus from outside to Central Square Station or a short walk to Watertown Square for the No 71 trolleycoach to Harvard Square Station. Close by was a liquor store, convenience store and also food outlets on St Aubern Road.
bathroom was rough--walls had peeling paint; desk clerk on Sunday morning took a good five minutes to separate himself from whatever had his attention on the computer to check me out--5 min. AFTER I said Hello. This is NOT the clerk with the walking aid on his arm.
Location, affordability, staff.
A bit of an odd odor in the room (like they were trying to get rid of years of smoke smells), it was a little run down.
The location was very good, easy to get to on Public transportation
The staff at the front desk barely speak to you when you arrive or come down to lobby. I found them to be unfriendly overall. Strange when you consider they are in the hospitality business. The motel is grossly over priced for what they offer. My room smelled musty and had peeling paint and a run down look.
This hotel was terrible!! I booked the hotel because it was close to my workshop. The room was filthy. I was sitting on my bed watching tv and a bug crawled over the bedspread. I removed the bedspread. I.went to take a shower and the bathroom and shower curtain reeked of urine. I would have left except I don't know my way around the Boston area and I needed to be at my workshop early the next morning.
no elevator no assistance with luggage dirty carpets dirty hand rails no aid for handicaps not a good location for touring the city, transportation was too expensive
Absence of laundry service and resturant.
piblic transport to cambridge
Safe broken Wifi didn't work in the room Bathrrom dirty, full of hairs staff unfriendly and unimterested most expensive motel I had in the US end it was the worst. All other Super8 were really good
Daily maid service in room was good. Room facilities
There is no dining room -just 2 tables in reception. We took our breakfast up to our room. Reception staff have not been to the school of charm! Economical with conversation and eye contact. Room rate does not include taxes. We had to pay around 12% more per night.
Decent bus links for getting to town
Poor area for restaurants
This place was at a good price! Everything was clean and staff was friendly. Not as rundown as I always pictured motels would be.
there was like a 1cm gap below the door, didn't bother me much though :) (I hardly think anyone will lie down before your door and peek in)
