Super 8 Watertown/Cambridge/Boston Area  

We used this hotel as a cheap option (which was indeed not cheap ) to get into Boston..... The Super8 is not cheap & not as near as one would think to Boston....first &last time to stay in one...

This hotel is horrible. First they give me a different room than the one I booked, then the really unfriendly staff does nothing to change that and I even notice that in there internal booking system the credit card is totally visible in its entirety and all the information about it, so it's pretty insecure who handles those records and how do they keep that information secure. Just plain awful everything about this hotel. Stay away from this place.

Location, ample parking, economical and clean. Staff nice and supplied extras when asked.

Very, very noisy. The lobby area was a party place at 2:30am when other guests came home from their evening. No curtains on windows except the black out curtains so either you were totally dark or open to the street at the traffic light.

The whole place was gloomy, the staff was not very friendly ... not a smile in sight! I'm from Philly - people are more friendly and outgoing.

I had no idea, maybe the location.

My room's thermal-set unit is not working. I can either leave on (very hot) or turn off (get cold at night). So I had to turn on to get a room very warm before went to bed and woke up 4 am to turn on because it was very cold.

Best value with proximity to the two 3 places in Boston we wanted to visit.

Very friendly staff, taking care of all.your needs. Thanks to front office lady, her care and hospitality during hard times was visible and sincere.

It was good price and quite close to Boston.

Not much to like.

Our original room was very low budget and dissapointing. The hotel clerk noted my dismay and was willing to upgrade us to a better room with a king size bed for an extra $10. Well worth the upgrade. New room was large and well equipted.

Exterior of hotel is not appealing and because parking in Boston is impossible, we had to take a bus and then subway to get into town. However, hotel staff did their very best to help us anyway they could. Breakfast was sparse, but coffee was good.

I liked how close it was to the bus stop. It's literally a 1 minute walk (just cross the little street), and you can get on the #70 bus. which takes you straight to Boston in 15 minutes, and drops you off next to a subway station.

Nothing special, good or bad.

Noisy air conditioner.

It is located near where I need to go when traveling to Watertown

The online reservation system was not clear on how to select the date of arrival / departue. I tried to book 5/20/12/ - 5/21/12 and wound up with another set o dates. Luckily there was a room available when I arrived.

Not enough parking, but hey... It's Boston!

Good value and helpful staff. This motel's location can get you into Boston in a short time.

The bathroom ceiling needed repair and the shower floor surface needs new adhesive strips or someone will get injured.

L'escalier, très raide... Toujours pénible avec des bagages. Pas de vraie salle de petit déjeuner. Un peu loin de Boston...

Nice service, nice people, decent breakfast, but they ought to do something about room 215. See below.

I guess I wasn't given the best room, first (ground) floor, giving on the garage. Not ideal when you stay 15 days. The door had obviously been forced some time ago, and thought it shut properly, there was a bit of a gap. Otherwise no complaint about the room comfort, though I lived in the dark, always with curtains drawn, which when drawn didn't make a difference.

Trattasi di standard motel della catenza super 8. Consigliato per viaggi itineranti in auto/moto per uno stop&go veloce, ad un prezzo piu' basso rispetto ai cari alberghi del centro di Boston. Colazione sufficiente, considerando la tipologia di motel. Effettua servizio deposito bagagli.

Le prese di corrente non supportano la potenza dei phon europei, neanche con l'adattatore. Vi dovete accontentare di quello in dotazione.

Tout ce dont on a besoin dans une chambre d'hotel : grand lit, douche, canapé, clim, télé, frigo, wifi. A 20mn en bus de Cambridge (Harvard), à 35-40mn de Boston (downtown) en comptant les délais d'attente bus/metro.

Personnel peu loquace. Difficile de trouver des hotels/motels peu chers aux alentours de Boston à certaines périodes de l'année.

J'ai aimé sa situation géographique, le petit déjeuner, bien que spartiate, le parking et le Wifi compris dans le prix qui reste quand même élevé par rapport aux chambres occupées.

Je n'ai pas aimé, la vue à partir des chambres occupées (0215 et 0218) qui donnaient pour partie sur le parking et sur un terrain et un cabanon non entretenus. De même que la minuscule salle pour déjeuner (2 tables de 4), une chambre dont la peinture et les joints auraient dû être refaits (salle de bains) ainsi que la baignoire. Ces chambres méritent d'être rénovés, notamment leur mobilier.
