Beautiful beds and linens, great staff, stunning roof garden, good size room and great location. Nothing to find fault with!

Excellent staff. Always friendly and courteous. The doorman was very helpful. Excellent location. A special mention to guy who checked us in. Had a problem with finding booking on system and Walt with it in a very professional manner. There was also an extremely helpful young lady at reception when we checked out. She is a real asset to your brand of hotel

No tea or coffee facilities in room. Breakfast is an additional extra . Whereas this type of hotel should include this important meal.

Beds, bathrooms and feeling of luxury!

The restaurant was a little of a disappointment - we had brunch, but it was overpriced and the portions were tiny.

The location was good and the staff did everything they could to help

The reception staff were so welcoming and couldn't have done enough for us. We had several questions over the stay and they couldn't have been more helpful. The Rooms were beautiful, the bathrooms clean and new and very good for ny. The bed was so comfortable - we took the leaflet that explained the company behind the bed - we will certainly be looking at this bed company when we come to replace our own beds. The bar and restaurant were both good and the staff very friendly and accommodating.

The internet was not free - in this day and age it should be available at all times. The breakfast was cold by the time it was served on both mornings and the coffee was mediocre at best.

It was imaculate! It was my first visit to nyc and the staff at the Surrey made me feel welcome. Everybody was accommodating and would do anything for me! The location couldn't have been better as far as its closness to Central Park, fine restaurants and shopping etc.

The staff at The Surrey were absolutely fantastic, always remembering your name and couldn't do enough for you.

The hotel bar was limited and overpriced.

The Surrey is so different from the faceless, souless, corporate identity Chain Hotels and whilst you pay top $ prices, the prices are fair for the quality and standard of this Hotel.

The full cost of the room was deducted from my Debit card at the time of Booking so effictively I paid 12 weeks in advance.

The Surrey was a wonderful oasis over the New Year's Weekend. We were able to enjoy family/friends in comfort and the service was excellent. Definitely coming back.

My (now) husband and I got married in ny on Friday 2 December and chose this hotel as our ny residence for pre/post marriage celebrations. It was the perfect choice; very stylish, relaxing and great staff. Our Deluxe Salon was tastefully decorated and very roomy, especially for ny standards. The massive bed was the most comfy we have ever slept in! The breakfasts were fabulous (although not included in the price of the room) and the Spa treatments we enjoyed were very relaxing. The hotel is located in a peaceful Upper East Side spot, away from the hussle of mid-town.

We have absolutely no complaints. The hotel is expensive, but worth it for such a special occasion. My only suggestion would be that it would have been good had breakfast been included in the price (although I appreciate this is not common for ny hotels).

Comfortable, well-appointed suite.

Seemed to stint on the kind of "nice touches" you'd expect for the price. For example, suite was over $1200 a night, but yet they charged extra for wireless.
