Area was excellent - plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars. We felt very safe too.

Hotel walls are a little thin - this may be an issue for light sleepers.

Good central location. Tidy and clean, with everything we needed. Great choice of eateries close by. City Lights bookstore just around the corner.

Noisy electric guitar being played in the street below all 3 nights we were there.

    Clean, excellent staff.

Early morning (6:00am) movie crew setting outside our window prevented sleeping in but that happens. Kids liked the excitement.

The staff was friendly and helpful with helping me to book airport transport. It is a quaint little spot.

The walls were exceptionally thin. Like, shockingly thin. I could hear what was happening in the room next to me as clear as day. The breakfast was weak. Not a lot of options, just not interesting.

They could not accommodate us at all. I requested two double beds days prior, and they couldn't do it. They were very rude about it and told us to leave if we weren't happy.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good WiFi. Close walking distance from the centre of the city and Fisherman's Wharf. The Vesuvio bar nearby is quite cool.

There were a number of gentlemen's clubs across the street.

Everything was good, very helpful staff

The service at breakfast was a bit slow and the food was for ever short and we had to ask for most items

Was a little expensive, but you definitely pay for location. This area of San Fran is pretty exciting! There is a lot to do on Grant and Columbus. Chinatown is right there. It is also walking distance to the water in any direction. We would stay here again for a cheaper rate. Was a little bit too pricey for a younger couple.

We loved the location of this hotel (even if parts of Chinatown seem noisy and a bit dingy). We could easily walk to many attractions and felt we really had a great San Francisco experience. The rooms were clean, spacious enough and the bathrooms were of a good standard too. Compared to other hotels nearby this was definitely the best value for money.

Our whole party agreed that this was a most pleasant stay and we don't really have anything that we didn't like. The breakfast was very basic - but for the price range we didn't expect anything more!

Location was awesome and price was reasonable for San Francisco.

The beds were not comfortable. If we were staying more than one night then I probably would not have been too happy because sleep is the only time I'm in the hotel.

Very comfortable room, clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and helpful to ask my questions. And the lobby looks big and nice too. Walking to Coit tower or some other attractions even to Fisherman's wharf should be fine. Spacious room for breakfast, and food is good to me except there is no sausages or burgers.

No sausages or burgers available for the breakfast.

Large and comfortable room, nice bed, great bathroom, super clean, great location, secure and helpful staff.

Average breakfast in plastic cutlery and cups. Thin walls, since we could hear loud and clear the conversations from next room. After 2 days, we asked the staff to move us to another room and so they did.

Close to Union Square (15min walk) 20min walk to Fishermans Warf Block away from China Town Many restaurants and shops Near by

After sunset Broadway street becomes uncomfortable. Many people walking around intoxicated. Felt unsafe. For example, hotel locks the front doors after hours, a friend if mine and myself had to wait, knocking continuously, for 5 mind before the front desk greeted us. We felt uneasy...

Location excellen, close to everything and with enjoyable Little Italy around the corner, with many excellent cafe's and restaurants close by. Price was fair, and with private parking (though 30$ a day seems a little overprized).

Extreme noice from the street, Broadway and Columbus, keept us awake many times during the night, and made it impossible to open the window during the night.

Staff were extremely helpful with providing directions, parking solutions, and general hospitality. While not a 5-star resort, this establishment is clean, comfortable, and an overall excellent value for its location. The rooms are of a sufficient size, and the bathrooms surprisingly open. The continental breakfast was cute and the dining area rich with historical charm. The employees obviously take pride in their work. If you're young and traveling on a budget, this hotel is an absolute treat. We will be booking a room again.
