If you're looking for an affordable place this is it. They don't seem to have a complete grasp of their computer system. The travel agency site seems to overbook the place. The gentleman who helped me was arrsident in the building, he was very kind and informative. I was very happy to have his help
the house keeping lady was very nice. I wasn't there long.
anything not included in what I liked!! The management was most unprofessional and rude.
Cheap. Central location. Despite hearing my neighbors and what they were doing a lot they kept it pretty low volume.
I gave them a good rating on cleanliness because the staff cleaned often not because it stayed clean. And one of the two child sized twin beds(in my room that was supposed to have a double?) was broken. Linens were clean but very old and stained. There was no way to sweep my own floor since they do not service the rooms if you stay there for more than a night.and 10 days of unswept floor is not how I like to live.
I was pleased at the price.it was quite.NO BEDBUGS.Mattress was new. I will go there again.
Didnt have a tv.I. brought my laptop.
I liked nothing about this place
I was supposed to have a bedroom with 2 beds & when i arrived they told me they had no rooms with 2 beds. Which is false advertisement. They also said there was no cancellaction fee which is also false advertisement
nothing. management cussed me out and threatened me.
there is nothing to like about this hotel, overpriced, bad neighborhood, and awful staff. Rooms were tiny and not clean and I found a bed bug on the pillow.
I lived in a "chambre de bonne" as a student in Paris many years ago, my room at Sweden House reminded me of that: old, full of character, just a small sink in the room, shared bathroom in hallway, thin walls and a shared shower.
My sink was clogged when I checked in, luckily the one staff member changed my room. The bathrooms on the 2nd floor were nasty, one toilet was constantly out of order and toilet paper dispensers were never refilled. Had to get my own tp or use bathrooms downstairs. Sink was really small in room, which was brand new, along with new floors and a viewless window but room could've used a new paint job. Furniture looked like it was from Salvation Army. But for the price, who could beat that?
Location of the hotel in the centre
It was cold and dirty. The reception is open only between 10 and 18
Nothing really, the staff wasn't rude, they did the best they could.
Everything, filthy rooms in an area that appear central on a map but in reality its a ghetto.
Poor part of town. The place was dirty, smelling of weed and facilities were poor. I didnt feel safe there at all. Plus the rest room was constantly dirty.
I liked how close to the City Centre this was.
The area was a little dangerous. I had some things stolen here - creating problems for my onward travel. However, I believe that the Hotel does their best to create a safe environment.
the creepy athmosphere and the man at the reception
The dirt, the junkies and the thief(s)
I like that It is not monitored like a prison like the other hotels in the area....friendly staff and clean..
Bed horribly squiky
They look cheap in Booking.com listing but that is only because they split the price in two, almost half of it is a "service charge" added to what makes it top of the list when you search a budget hotel. Location is terrible but if you approach it from Hilton (east) it is not that bad.
I had a roof over my head
The room,the pricing
Good position, good and cheap restaurants very close to the hotel
Just arrived at the hotel i ask at the girl at the front desk how to go to the Golden Gate Bridge and she answer '' I don`t know" , I had all the information in a hotel one block away. They give me a towel with suspect Yellow spots. absolutely disgusting. the cover had holes of cigarettes and blanket was dirty. i slept with my clothes.I put the towel on the floor but they never change it and at 9 pm reception was closed so i had shower 2times with a disgusting towel. The price is to much for quality and services.
Parking Area Size of room View
The room offered a little more than most SROS. I like the fact that it had a refrigerator and microwave.
The room could've been bigger. To little space to navigate.
It's really close to Union Square and Market Street (and all public transportation). The staff is really lovely and you feel safe. The street is not the worst in San Francisco, on the contrary (walked there alone at night, being a girl, had absolutely no problem). Anyone looking for an affordable stay, this hotel is for you !
There wasn't enough plugs (which is really not a big inconvenient) in the room. Decoration, furniture, etc. are old style, but everything works just fine.
Great location Good Wifi
Bad infrastructure No air conditioner No smoking sign, just for decoration
No tv although promised on web site
location, very close to Union Square parking next to the building (30usd for overnight) cheap
I stayed at the room 102 which looking into the apartment space and no other window. Because of that rooms smells pigeon feces. Shared bathroom has no washstand so when I used the bathroom I need to go back to the room to wash my hands.
