surrounding access to trails and wilderness
I had to leave
The hot tub was nice and the room was clean. Overall a good experience.
The shower was different than it looked in the pictures. You have to be out of your hot tub by 11 pm.
Climbing hill with luggage
It's nice place to stay for a weekend get away but it's over priced.
Rooms are old.
private tubs on private balcony
I love the hot tub.
The bed could be more comfortable.
Spa would not hold water, something wrong with drain valve.
Hot Spring spa with a room.
The hiking trail is very nice
Beautiful grounds and lovely location close to Avila Beach.
The bed size was very small- more like a double than a queen or king. Pictures are way better than actual rooms. Small rooms. Inconvenient stairs to get to room and no elevator.
Very pleasant i just wish prices were more reasonable
In the morning the maid and cleaning service is quit loud. I had a truck with a lift going up and down unloading what appeared to be linens. The storage is right under your room so you can hear the workers talking and laughing.
The free yoga class was excellent
The grounds are poorly maintained and hot tubs very shabby
Our suite was luxurious and beautiful. Small backyard with lovely hot springs tub.
Each room has its own hot tub. The property is in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees. There is a hiking trail the begins in the back of the property.
They don't allow children under 4 in the pool (which was fine for us, but good to know). They charge for the outdoor hot tubs and there is No discount for hotel guests (except M-F until 3pm).
The privacy and the staff.
Lack of customer service. The access road to my room was closed earlier than intended by the fire department for much needed repairs. In such an instance, I wonder if it was safe for the rooms located on the access road were safe to be occupied. Because I was traveling with an aged parent, I asked if I could get another room that was more accessible and wouldn't be so inconvenient to get to. They wouldn't accommodate my request and instead asked that I pay more if I wanted that option. Additionally, the bathroom looked shabby, rundown and dingy. The cable to the room was not hooked up so I had to call for assistance. Unacceptable inconveniences on top of additional avoidable inconveniences. The room was musty and I found the blind to be broken and cobwebs easily visible. I would never recommend anyone stay at this location.
Rooms are overpriced but clean and spa on patio is amazing.
Nobody greeted me when I arrived. Nobody offered to show me to room or carry luggage. After telling me late checkout wouldn't be a problem, they refused to give me late checkout even though I had booked a spa service. After 20 minutes of phone calls they moved my spa appt. up so I could be out by 12. Did not like feeling unwelcome. Staff does not follow the customer is always right so be prepared to fight. Nice property, just poorly managed. Hard to relax after all the phone calls!
It was a very relaxing experience.
There are too many ants inside the room.
location and grounds
old rooms in marginal shape and definitely overpriced for the "amenity" of the resort. Spa was dirty and no instructions to fill and drain. Light fixtures unplugged, etc.
The mineral baths! They are relaxing -- and should probably be regulated by the FDA for how effective they are at soaking away stress. Staff was helpful, friendly and fantastic. This is not a Four Seasons, so don't take yourself too seriously.
I treated myself to a room with a private Jacuzzi on the balcony. It was very nice. The mattress was wonderful. I slept very well and I loved all the pillows. The comforter and sheets were wonderful and soft. The staff providing towels and robes were also very nice and accommodating.
Room Service: I ordered the Vegetable soup, plate of Cheese and Beet Salad. I informed room service I was allergic to mushrooms. They brought two bowls of soup both with mushrooms. I refused it and then when checking out discovered they charged me twice versus taking the soup off my bill. The front desk did reverse the charge. The beet salad which I did eat made me sick. Room Service food is OVER PRICED and Horrible. I did enjoy the cheese platter though.
The peacefulness n hot tub.
Coffee in rooms yuk!
Beautiful Hiking trails Great privacy in spa and balcony area-- relaxing and romantic
The shower was not ideal-- water got out of the door easily and it went from hot to cold a lot but that's okay. I'm not there to shower-- I'm there to enjoy the tub!
