It was a very relaxing experience.
There are too many ants inside the room.
location and grounds
old rooms in marginal shape and definitely overpriced for the "amenity" of the resort. Spa was dirty and no instructions to fill and drain. Light fixtures unplugged, etc.
The mineral baths! They are relaxing -- and should probably be regulated by the FDA for how effective they are at soaking away stress. Staff was helpful, friendly and fantastic. This is not a Four Seasons, so don't take yourself too seriously.
I treated myself to a room with a private Jacuzzi on the balcony. It was very nice. The mattress was wonderful. I slept very well and I loved all the pillows. The comforter and sheets were wonderful and soft. The staff providing towels and robes were also very nice and accommodating.
Room Service: I ordered the Vegetable soup, plate of Cheese and Beet Salad. I informed room service I was allergic to mushrooms. They brought two bowls of soup both with mushrooms. I refused it and then when checking out discovered they charged me twice versus taking the soup off my bill. The front desk did reverse the charge. The beet salad which I did eat made me sick. Room Service food is OVER PRICED and Horrible. I did enjoy the cheese platter though.
The peacefulness n hot tub.
Coffee in rooms yuk!
Beautiful Hiking trails Great privacy in spa and balcony area-- relaxing and romantic
The shower was not ideal-- water got out of the door easily and it went from hot to cold a lot but that's okay. I'm not there to shower-- I'm there to enjoy the tub!
We rented a suite which had it's own soaking tub, which was very nice. The grounds are lovely, the water soothing and all the staff we encountered were pleasant.
Didn't like the fact that we paid over $400 for a single night's stay in a suite with one room, no way to heat food and obvious blemishes throughout the room, from severely scratched furniture to crooked light fixtures and light switches. Bring your own pillow as well, none of us were able to sleep using the overly thick and non-ergonomic pillows. Definitely recommend a soak if you're passing through, but definitely not worth the money to stay. If we're paying $400 for a single night, the room had better be perfect, we have stayed in $150 rooms that were better.
Nothing but water. The place is $250 per night and if you want that kind of service, don't go there. Just go for the water hot top.
the heater wasn't working all night but the manager will tell you that it is working. The heater will stay in for 20 min and it will shut down for all night and will never turn on again. The manager said it was automatic setting and the room was at 71. I changed the setting to 81 hoping the temperature of the room will go up but never did. The front desk manager is so rude and telling me that I am strange because 71 should feel just like summer. i am never ever going to that place again. Terrible experience
Privacy was valued - staff was friendly - & honest - left item in expensive item in room -they recovered it & mailed it back to us in Hawaii. Such a lovely visit.
Allowed kids in a adults only section.
Inroom spa is big enough for two (but too bad it is too old and water not hot enough!)
Patio is dirty, toilet so small like a kid's size! Room smelled bad, bed is too soft.
Accommodations Hot tub Yoga Surroundings and location Free rides Fee ice Huge TVs Quiet setting
Great location, pretty setting
Hotel rooms need to be updated and upgraded
Grounds are very pretty.
Room needed painting, fixtures in bath rusted, archaic television and coffee maker, ugly turquoise hot tub
We stayed in the same hotel two years ago and were put in a much nicer room and is the only reason why we returned. I had no idea the motel had rooms as bad as the one we stayed in during this visit. We would have been better off staying in a Motel 6 and going to Sycamore only for the massage.
The walls were so thin, we could hear the neighbors screaming and slamming the head board against the wall in the middle of the night. For the price paid for the room we expected nice accommodations, what we got was a room with dirty carpet that was dilapidated.
I love the private hot tub we had in the Harmony Building.
I was a little surprised by the 15 dollar fee per day that was added to the hotel fee. The decor in the rooms was also outdated and there were some stains in the bathroom when we came arrived.
The friendliness of the staff was amazing. Went there on my engagement night. Had a great night. Hike up the hill was nice with great view.
Nothing. Not being able to stay longer.
Food in restaurant was fabulous lovely waiter hotel and rooms needed a bit of a facelift but it was clean bit mor TLC!
Location and privacy
It was outdated. It needs renovation and upgrading. The outdoor hot tub was all patched up! TV in the bedroom was analog! Old carpet.
private hot tub in room quiet setting restful atmosphere service of personnel excellent cuisine, although expensive
lack of microwave
The room was very very nice. The area was a quiet, secluded and lovely place to spend an anniversary, even though it's pretty close to a busy road. The staff was very friendly for the most part. I loved the mineral spring hot tub and the shower with dual heads was wonderful.
Upon checking in, we tried to make reservations for brunch the next day but were told they were not necessary. The walk to the room was difficult with all our luggage. We were told to wait by our car for a bellman with a cart who never came, so we lugged everything ourselves which was really not a good way to start the weekend. The first night at about 3 am, the smoke alarm started chirping and announcing a low battery- when we couldn't take it anymore, we called, but nobody had a key to the storage area so they could get a ladder until 8 am, so we had a horrible nights sleep. The bed was too soft for our tastes. The next morning we went for brunch, and they were annoyed that we didn't have a reservation, they found a place for us but we felt like uninvited guests. Upon checkout I mentioned the smoke detector issue, they just smiled and said sorry, which was really not acceptable. This was an expensive 2 nights, we are not rich and this was a very special occasion we scrimped and saved for, maybe we expected too much or maybe they were just having a bad weekend, but there were some disappointing aspects.
Location and overall value. Food fair.
Sub standard mattresses and pillows. Hot tubs in a somewhat dis-repaired state
- the room was private and very nice - the restaurant on site was amazing - the garden and park areas were beautiful - great trails for walking - nice spa
- the TVs in the room didnt work
