We ended up with a clean room. We only have time to sleep and shower and off to the horse arena.
First room was dirty under construction. Had to change rooms. Our team mates had truck broken into. Past they had night watch man not when we were their
The heater needs to be tossed & replace with 2015 unit.
Decent place to stay if you are on a budget and are only looking for a bed. Not worth it if you are wanting a weekend away and are planning to use the pool or leisure facilities.
Pool was green, murky and smelled funky. The leisure facilities are generally in poor condition. First room given smelled of smoke and smoke alarm had been tampered with. Ghetto.
Non reponsive desk for handling 'common' problems/requests. Want heat in your room? Don't count on heater being fixed after problem reported. Want a wake up call? Leave a wakeup request, but you won't get called. No alarm in roon, so you are on your own. Econolodges are no frill for sure, but this one is the worse. Better staying elsewhere.
The toilet was overflown several times, the unpleasant smell outside the building ruined the entire experience with the hotel.
Bed was great nice tv
Reception on tv sucked the clasp lock on door broken the breakfast when I went the one waffle iron had a stuck waffle with an out of order.there was fruit loops that was it. This is not the old king Oscar changed names all new management there on the cheap
At least the younger tall Day Manager was nice and willing to listen to my issues...
The list is too long! Starting with the clerk who was too busy whining about needing a raise/better hours on her cell phone to check us in, to the older short General Manager who argued rather than listen! Vomit stains on the rug, tv didn't work, bedspread was sticky. DON'T STAY HERE!
-Negligible noise on Westernmost suites even though they're directly facing I-5 in open air -High-end precise and digitally adjustable air conditioner/heating unit -Simple and functional shower faucets, great water pressure -Simple but fulfilling continental breakfast /w fresh coffee, cereal. toast, waffle iron, juice, milk, etc -No bedbugs in suite
-No Wifi reception at Western-most suites -No hairdryer in suite
When I arrived I got there early they were going to charge me extra money if I wanted to get the room at that time. Then gave me a hard time checking it in when I made reservations. I finally got my room I asked for upstairs they gave me down stairs, also I want to take a bath a the tub was very dirty. I call front desk and told them the tub was dirty will they send someone to clean it he said yes he would I waited an hour nobody came to I went out a bought cleaner to wash the tub. So I can take a bath. This used to be a middle class place to stay know it is low class I would not stay again or recommended it to anyone else.
Handicapped room had ample space. Room was clean & well lit.
Front office staff disorganized. Parking lot had tree trimming debris piled in parking stalls which made it unsafe for guest to park and exit vehicles safely.
The tv didn't work. No wash clothes
Size of the room was perfect. The kitchen was small but ideal for room.
Room door was hard to operate. The shower was dark. The carpet was not clean. We were missing towels. But still a great stay for the two days.
We got a non-smoking, king kitchenette for two of us for $60/night (3 nights - Fri, Sat & Sun). It was clean, well kept, quiet, and the bed was great and much more comfortable than average motel bed. Staff was friendly and helpful.
When we got to room there were no bath towels in room (everything else was there, clean and ready). However the helpful staff quickly resolved that when we asked. Also pool closed for renovation.
The room was big.
There was mold in the shower.
The location was ideal for our needs, between McChord Field and Fircrest, where we spent most of our time. Places to eat nearby, etc. and easy access from the freeway.
I booked with the King Oscar and when I arrived, I found out that they had become an EconoLodge without bothering to let me know. Driving up and down the street, I finally called to learn of the name. Bad mojo.
The price was good and the rooms were clean and maintained.
The TV remote didn't work, there was still painters tape on the doors, and the entire facility needs updating. Our view out the window was a brick wall. I also observed 2 persons consistent with prostitutes getting a room.
PARKING AND VERY CLEAN GREAT BREAKFAST
POOL AND HOT TUB WAS NOT OPEN
Lots of sirens at night. The building looked like it had been left in the middle of a repairs project. Tape all around the door. And a hole in the door where the peep-hole would be, making it easy to hear everything going on outside.
The continental breakfast wasn't too bad!
There was a lot of construction going on that I didn't know about when booking. The pool and hot tub were under maintenance that I didn't know about. My room had stained sticky carpeting that was nasty.
the fact that they had painted and left up the masking material, the door lock was broke and taped to the door mold in the shower carpet stained linen wasn't washed room very nasty. felt uncomfortable will never stay there again and would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Where do I begin... Pool was green with a layer of scum, hot tub not working, reception was terrible, the TV had no remote, my card was also charged three times for my one night stay in the glorified excuse for a hotel and conference centre. Furthermore I am still trying to have my card refunded a month later. Apparently y reception will look into it, but that is my answer every time I and my bank calls them.
The room was clean. Everything advertised on their website was accurate.
The parking lot had some sketchy characters lingering around. We were approached by a teenager wanting to use our phone. A number of people were smoking in the parking lot because the rooms are non-smoking - really smelly. The cable was down for the night and all we were offered was an extra hour at check out. Our room was in a building far away from the pool, breakfast, etc.
the facility was clean even though there was renovation going on
The north outer door on the I blgd did not close completely. The non-smoking room smelled like it had been a smoking room at one time.
the price for what you got or didn't get
don't have enough space for my comments..poor knowledgeable staff-had to get key card spanned every day even though I registered to stay for 3 nights..wouldn't put even my feet in the pool as it was green; don't believe it was every cleaned or sanititzed.Kitchen had plates etc but had to purchase towels/dishsoap. Mentioned to staff that the light on the fan/light unit wasn't working; but never was fixed.zed. Exercise room was a joke.
cheap and the people were nice. They put up with me without rolling their eyes or sighing in front of me.
Room were old. I changed rooms 3 times; 1st was smokey and had maintenance stuff inside it (they are in the process of renovating) and the outside corridors were filthy. The second room was smokey. 3rd was good enough. This was the only building that didn't have wifi. They gave me a wire but I wasn't able to use my ipad.
