Historic building Abeyance Staff was terrific
No timely reception of guests
Great location Friendly owner Personalized service
No tea/coffee facilities in room
This B&B offers a very personal experience. The owner cooks breakfest for the guests every morning, providing an opportunity to convive with other people. Location is also pretty good, in an elegant neighbourhood and not far from the Dupont Circle Metro station.
No 24h reception
Atmosphere- great old manor house. Friendly helpful staff Homeliness Relaxed atmosphere Laundry service
Safe location Kind staff 15min walk to DuPont circle metro Nice decoration
Breakfast starts at 0730,can be earlier
breakfast was good location quite reasonable romantic rooms
late check-in fee quite expensive for room w/o bath
I had a meal option included in room rate ,but unfriendly Japanese woman didn't tell me what my breakfast consist of,that's why I had in first morning just coffee (that's it??),and in other days I just went out for normal breakfast.and also when I just checked in I was offered a room with hairs on the bed, terrible.
Nice area, staff very helpful, wonderful rooms and dining area. Excellent overall experience, I felt more like a guest to a local home than a tourist.
A bit far from nearest metro station.
The inn was beautiful, old fashioned charm, lots of antiques and Japanese decorations. Adequate breakfast, beds and bathrooms very clean, magazines for reading in sitting room.
The hours of opening are limited, 1 to 3 pm is closed unless one has the key (not upon arrival), night "curfew" is 8pm unless one makes special Arrangements.
Quiet, peaceful, central location. The room was very spacious, very comfortable and inviting. I will stay here the next time in DC.
Wonderful characterful house with many period features
plumbing was a bit cranky
I like the atmosphere, easy access to major sites, and inexpensive healthy food options available nearby.
The time of breakfast should extend until 9am.
Bed and breakfast format Nice big room Good bathroom Friendly staff
No air conditioning when I was there. They said they would be putting in window air conditioners the following weekend. Guests all together at breakfast -- got caught in conversation. Only one breakfast choice. Dorm-type wall hair dryer.
Breakfast is really delicious and fresh. Staff was very friendly and nice. If I visit Washington D.C., I will stay Taft Bridge Inn, again!
The decor is beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and healthy and delivered with style and warmth.
