Close to the dock we were leaving from to go fishing.Bed was comfortable

Old and showed its age. they were doing some remodeling while we were there so maybe a little better in the future.The soap or cleaners they use gave both myself and my son allergies

very noisy from traffic during the night, noisy from young drinkers next door late into the night, very old accomodations, moldy painted tile in shower, old polyester bedspreads, etc.

Mostly, it was very affordable and right across the street from Gar Woods, where my friend was getting married (the reason for the trip). The owners were extremely nice and helpful, letting us know about other restaurants and stores nearby, offering an extended stay through the rest of the weekend (we were only there one night, Saturday, for the wedding, checking out Sunday). The room was cute, not fancy, but still well-stocked and nicely decorated with comfortable beds. We weren't looking for some big fancy-schmancy budget-busting spa with cold employees. This is definitely not like that at all. The owners run the place themselves and are very nice, warm people.

No A/C, no phones, loud traffic noise, thin walls. Funky but tolerable. I have stayed in worse, but I can't remember when...

I enjoyed the friendly lady, who owned the place. She was very helpful with information of the area.

Superb people, superb location

The best thing about Tahoe North Shore Lodge is the price of the room, however, you get what you pay for.

If you stay here you cannot expect much. You get a basic room with little space, older bathroom, no a/c, fan or ability to open windows for air circulation. The room gets very warm and uncomfortable. It is very dated and old.

This is an older but well located and reasonably well maintained property. For a hundred bucks a night, we got exactly what we were looking for -- a clean, comfortable place to spend the night. The room (#3) had two queen beds (would have preferred one king, but OK), plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, tissue, extra blankets and pillows if we needed them (didn't), lighting, electric blankets for winter guests, work table, and parking right in front of our door. Friendly staff. I didn't check to see if there was wireless service since I didn't need it. The property is adjacent to Hwy 89, and you can hear every car that drives by during the night, so bring earphones/earplugs (or turn on the fan) if you're a light sleeper, and bring eyeshades if you want to sleep late and the morning light would awaken you (the shades do not darken the room much). You will also hear your neighbors if they are noisy (for example, I heard one neighbor leaving early in the morning). This is NOT a five-star and maybe not even a three-star hotel, but my high ratings are based on what was delivered vs. expectations for a $100/nt motel in Lake Tahoe (other choices were $160+ and had a 2-night minimum for summer weekends).

Es waren genügend Kleiderbügel da. Standardausstattung wie alle anderen Motelketten. Alle Geräte funktionierten. WiFi ok Das Beste an dieser Unterkunft: Das Bistro 100m Richtung Nevada, selbe Strassenseite. Mehr Positives fällt mir beim besten Willen nicht ein.

Schmuddelig und bis auf´s Zahnfleisch abgewohnt. Wir waren zuvor in 5 verschiedenen Motels; dieses hier war mit ABSTAND das mieseste und teuerste.

As the motel proceeds with the current remodeling project, they should install upgraded sound insulation for the rooms.

It was across the street from the beach.

It's on the highway so it was somewhat noisy.

Room size was ok, reasonably priced for that area, clean, location is served by the Squaw/Alpine meadows ski shuttles which is comfortable, Seven eleven right next door

Heating didn't work, we were provided two small heaters which helped a little bit but overall the room was really cold (we stayed in January). The walls and the door are rather thin. It wouldn't have bothered me if it weren't for the noisy people on the following room. Wifi reception was really weak in most of the room, reasonable near the door, so ask for a room which is close to the reception area if that's important for you

Though the lodge is reminiscent of times past, it was very clean and comfortable. The owners have had the place for eight months and are in the process of updating each room. The rooms all have a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee service. The lodge is directly across the street from the beach. The owners have a double kayak, oars, and life vests, that can be rented for the entire day for less than what it would cost from one of the local rental shops for just an hour. There is a grill and picnic table available for guests. Beds were comfortable. The towels looked new. And there is free Wi-Fi.

Joyce, owner, very friendly and helpful when we were forgetful. Not able to help us finding local eateries,etc.
