Excellent service. Every employee we encountered was friendly, professional and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to friends.
The cleanliness! The space!
The fact that there was no top sheet!
Since Boston is a walking city the Taj is in a great location for shopping and sight seeing. If you need a cab the cost won't hurt too much because of the hotels central location. The waterfront is about $10 or you have the option of using the T (MBTA) which is just across the street. Older building but is spotless and has great character.
The bar is a bit small and cramped.....some might consider it cozy but I found it too much like an over sized living room.
LOCATION, LOCATION EASE OF CHECK IN AND OUT THE AMBIENCE
Very helpful and courteous staff, well presented good food and drink. The decor and ambience were excellent and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Really enjoyed our holiday and look forward to staying again.
Wifi should be free
The venue, the food (the best burger in town and very good Indian style food), the room in general. Very comfortable beds and good climate in the room. Very serviceminded consierge.
Fourth stay at the Taj this year and the check-in staff had no idea who I was! They must get a system keeping track of regular clients.
The location of the hotel was excellent. Our room was warm and comfortable and had a lovely view of Boston Common. We had plenty of space and could relax there.
We had payed to have breakfast included but discovered this was an allowance for breakfast and if we chose anything other than an American breakfast it was very easy to overspend. The WiFi was described as an extra that needed to be paid for. Although we were not charged for one days use we feel this should be included in the price of the room. We ended up having to go out of the hotel to use the internet.
Taj Boston offers old world charm with modern comfort. The staff is courteous and helpful. Rooms are impeccable, quiet and spacious by hotel standards. Great value. Look forward to our next visit.
There seemed to be a lot of extra room taxes but that may be Massachusetts state tax charges.
everything was perfect. we had a great time
This hotel is well placed for walking no need for transport . The staff were helpful and friendly, and service could not be faulted. Our room over looked boston comman and was well appointed ,with some nice touches in the evening such as slippers by our bed ,chocolates on the bed and the weather forcast for the following day.
Breakfast was a bit pricey for what was.
Service was very good, clean and comfortable room with an excellent choice of TV programmes and movies. Plenty of eating, shopping and entertainment options within a 20 minute walking radius and for an early morning jog, the lovely public gardens opposite the property.
First time at The taj ..what I can say is that I Will come back ! Good location , nice feeling , comfy , reasonable sized double bedded room . Small but nice bathroom .
The quality of service and is excelent and the location one of the best in Boston
The internet connection is expensive and works only for one divice.
It is situated opposite Boston common,a most attractive park. It is also next to Newbury street with wonderful designer shops. From the hotel there is easy walking into Boston itself. I loved the bar in the hotel with its good choice of lighter meals ,cocktails ,comfortable seating and charming staff.
Only one comfortable chair in the bedroom. Another was requested but did not materialise.
Beautiful view and beautiful room
Location, room ambiance.
Premier King was spacious and pretty. there was a birthday dessert left for my husband which was a nice touch. Loved the view
It was a rainy night. otherwise no complaints
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Taj with an excellent location across from Boston Common. Professional staff made for an interesting visit to a fine city. Perhaps the Dalai Lama had a slightly different experience in Boston.
Great staff. Great food and service at cafe. Wonderful park view. Great location. Recommend highly!
Great location Good hotel bar
Paid $12 per day for wifi No shower for late check Outdated decor
Beautiful location in Boston. Easy walk to destinations. Staff very helpful. Our room spacious, with a superb view.
For the price, shouldn't have to pay for wifi, compares badly to New York.
Vaughn, who checked us in, was most helpful and friendly. The hotel was beautiful.
Stayed there for 5 nights. Had huge room (executive suite). All in all: great hotel, on probably the best location in town. Friendly and professional staff, room service was great and speedy.
For a hotel in this price class, it is ridiculous that they charge such a hefty wifi fee (10,45 a day). This is 2014 - wifi should be free!
The location is superb, the assistant personal very good and the restaurant have a very interesting and tasteful indian. menu
Some rooms have an old system of cooling-heating in the rooms which has been improved in the new building.
