Everything was GREAT!!!
The resort is nicely updated. We had car trouble when we arrived and the staff called several businesses in trying to find out if they we're open of they could assist in looking at our truck. One staff member took tools from her trunk in order for us to use.
The room was great with great view. Indoor pool was fun with grandson Would have like a sauna.
Didn't care for buffet at the restaurant But service was excellent
Tan-Tar-A Resort is a wonderful place for anyone looking for a quite to rest or great place families enjoy weeks at time. Lot activities for adults and kids, places to hike, just lots of stuff
For money they charge I think could updated the outside rooms and deck. Our room door open from outside, there was musty odor we had buy febreze spray everywhere in order kill the smell.
The options! Indoor and outdoor activities for all weather! Great entertainment at the pool, fun arcade and indoor waterpark.
The beds were very uncomfortable and the rooms smelled very, very stale!
Old carpeted floors with stains and was just plain old and smelly. You could hear every crook and cranny of the neighbors upstairs. Could not sleep, too noisy.
Location, room size, amenities, plenty of fun things to do on the resort.
Prime rib buffet was horrible and wave runners were double the cost of anywhere else on the lake.
Pool was great.
Wifi was very weak.
Everything was amazing!! We WILL be back!!!
We were for in town for the 2014 Shootout. The resort was packed. We did not like that there was no rooms assigned parking spots. We got back to the resort at 2am and there were no parking spots for large trucks. We got up in the morning and found a warning ticket on the windshield because we did not use a authorized parking spot. We even stopped in and let the lady know at the desk where we were parked. Other than the parking fiasco the trip and resort was amazing!!!
No shuttle to restaurant
Wifi in the room was very weak.
I love the older resort, well maintained, clean. A lot better than most brick and glass franchises I have stayed at and a lot more fun with lots to do on site.
There are lots of stairs but the exercise didn't hurte any
Lake front room
Too much walking! Parking was terrible. Too congested, driving paths leave much to be desired. Prices for food and drinks too high.
Our room was in need of remodeling... Especially the bathroom. The furniture was old & outdated. But I think the price we paid reflected that... Reasonable for what we got.
People were nice and room clean
Wi fi was out the first nite and water cold 2nd morning
The resort was quite peaceful and enjoyable, with lots to offer Fitness center was one of the best I've come across at a resort or hotel
Beds were small and uncomfortable Parking locations are too far away for older adults with leg and back issues
Great Location entertaining for the kids
Ants every morning crawling on the desk. Bed and Pillow too soft. The view was horrible, could only look at a brick wall. I strongly recommend not getting a room on the bottom floor.
balcony had a great view
two many spiders
I loved the swimming pool. The boat ride on the Tropic Cruse was awesome. The bowling alley was fun. The putt-putt was fun. The food was exceptional.
The Wi-Fi was spotty.
Had an excellent room in the Estates part of the complex.
Didn't care for the menu selections in the restaurants.
Exceptional staff and a great place to stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Lots of activities!!
Liked the layout of the rooms, liked the variety and availability of activities that were available at the resort, staff was friendly and helpful.
Strong ammonia or other odor in our rooms.
I liked all the options for activities.
I didn't like the fact that the web site was vague and didn't specify that the water park, horse rides, golf and all other amenities cost an extra amount. And way overpriced at that. I would rather spend less money and actually get a continental breakfast.
