They three great restaurants to choose from, the pool area is lovely and very relaxing, all of the staff were friendly and helpful.
We loved the lodge - it was beautiful in beautiful surroundings. Their food was good in the two restaurants we tried (both where we dined outside). Suite was awesome, huge, with two balconies.
Restaurants were very pricey and no other choice for food without driving for a half hour to the nearest town. Living room furniture in suite was very very old and worn, couldn't even sit on the sofa as the cushions were so worn that the whole thing leaned forward while sagging at the same time. Suite needed a microwave and kitchen area should be supplied with soap/towels.
Coziness, food, nice staff, decorative, comfy bed and cleanliness.
It complemented our enjoyment of Yosemite
Accommodating & Friendly Staff, convenience of restaurants on property, comfortable setting
The location, near from the South entrance of the Park The nice surroundings The swimming pools and arcade games
The restaurants : mis-organised and not that good Globally a bit over priced for the service offered
Beds, breakfasts poolpl L
Evening meals very expensive and not good quality.
The lodge is very nice, the room is comfortable and clean, the food in the hotel restaurant was good and prices were fair.
The prices at the hotel convinient store were very expensive - 10$ for cold non fresh sandwich. The room rate was very expensive for that grade hotel even taking in consideration its location
The staff really took the time to talk to the children and make sure they were cared for in the restaurants, shops and pools!
Loved the rooms, spa,and grounds. Very lovely.
Service in the Sienna resturant was poor. I thought the dining experiences were ok. Food was fair but not outstanding for the price.
Location and bar, food was very good
Seemed like air was turned up at night. Our room got hot and nothing we could do would cool it down.
Great lobby/main building. Great activities/amenities for kids. Loved summerdale BBQ!
The hotel layout. Very unusual configuration Hard to navigate with few connecting elevators/staircases
- for a huge hotel it has pretty good service and rather personal attitude; - easy parking; - great breakfasts; - found and returned sunglasses lost at the pool :-)
- 1 hour ride to the Valley or the Glacier Point;
We liked the pool, most of the staff was very nice, children's activities, room service, beautiful hotel with many amenties.
We had to remind housekeeping to bring adequate amount of towels, toiletries, mugs, soap, etc. It is very pricey and there are no other restaurants close by.
Need healthier food choices. Too noisy, impossible to sleep with parking right outside of the windows. Very gloomie and outdated room decor
Traveling with a family of 7 it was wonderful we had connecting rooms which is so hard to find. Staff was very friendly and accommodating! We booked our activities ahead of time with concierge and even had a birthday cake made for my daughter's celebration. Was a wonderful experience!
Location - close to the national park. Interconnecting rooms available. Rustic decor of lounge areas. Extremely helpful and friendly staff, especially the bellboys. Good choice of restaurants. Guest laundry is useful. Forest surrounds.
Rooms a little tired. Rooms are a little noisy (thin walls).
Outdated Expensive Extra resort fee? Why? Pool and fitness should be included with room price. All other activities were already extra charge
Location into Yosemite Service and luxury at the hotel Rooms were huge and very comfortable
I loved everything
Can't beat the location and setting. Had some timing of food problems in the dining room, but it was taken care of by taking 1/2 off the bill. The wait staff was attentive throughout.
The adult only pool area was under construction...
Great location, stunning hotel, the rooms were great, indoor and outdoor pool and hot tubs. Lovely staff and great restaurants.
Location was amazing. Just on the edge of Yosemite, this is a great base for exploring the area. Large rooms, with good decor in public areas. Excellent food in the bar area; but the restaurants were expensive. Breakfast was amazing... go for the full buffet! Good welcome, and parking.
Everything was extra, and quite expensive. They were only really interested in selling and promoting their own activities, and there was no info on Yosemite itself. There was a shop which sold good stuff: picnic stuff, foods etc, but was horrendously expensive.
We liked the comfortable setting. The staff was helpful most of the time. We especially liked the waiters and waitress at Jackolopes restaurant. One young man in particular was so helpful telling us places to go and see besides Yosemite. The Lodge itself is vey pretty and in a beautiful setting.
I would have liked to see places where you could sit outside to read a book or just relax, seems the only ones that had patios were the really expensive rooms. So we were not into sitting around a swimming pool listening to yelling and screaming, so we read in our rooms looking out the window at a parking lot. Would like to see more choices in food. No matter what we ordered it came very fancy and spicy. Food very pricey also. We were booked for 5 nights and found that was too long, so checked out one day early and paid for that day royally. I would say that if I were every to go to Yosemite again, I would book way in advance and stay on the valley floor. It's an hour away from the lodge to see most sights. And we did not want to drive that every day to get in to see everything we wanted to see. So all in all, I think the lodge is perfect for people that want the comfort of nice rooms and fancy food, but not that convenient for Yosemite it self.
Location. Range of restaurants. Efficient laundry facilities. Helpful staff - especially advice on walks in Yosemite.
Room was fantastic, upgraded for free. Thank you. A bit of luxury in the wilderness-wish we could have stayed longer!
