The Hotel is great and would deserve a better score except for the points I will cover in the complaints space. So the good, great older hotel with lot's of character. Great downtown location, easy walk to other resturants, easy acess to highways if you need to travel out to other areas. The staff was very friendly and professional, the bar was quiet and intimate. The French Room resturant in the hotel was one of if not the best dining experience we have ever had. All in all a great hotel except......... The hotel has a real problem with housekeeping. I don't know if they need to add staff or equipment but getting fresh towels, having your room cleaned was a major frustration to the point that it made a great hotel and staff seem like a two star hotel. We needed additional towels our first day, we talked to seven different people before towels were finally delivered. Our third day, we left the hotel about 11:30 and returned at 5:00 to find our room had not been cleaned. We talked to three different people and finally had to get ready for dinner without a shower due to no fresh towels. After complaining at the desk again, the room was cleaned while we were at dinner sometime after 8:00 pm. All problems that you don't expect to deal with at a "luxury" hotel. We would most likely stay at another downtown hotel our next trip to Dallas. By the way, we heard other travelers complaining about the housekeeping as well so I don't believe the issue is isolated.

Hotel staff were most courteous and pleasant. The Afternoon Tea was wonderful and elegant. We couldn't receive phone calls in our room. We had people trying to reach us and evidently it just kept ringing but not in the room. We advised hotel staff twice and they sent someone to repair it but it never was working. The last night of our stay, we didn't notice until morning but we had no bath towels in our room and had to call housekeeping.

We have loved The Adolphus for years. Love the excellent, romantic and luxurious accomodations and the excellent breakfast at The Bistro. Excellent service and friendliness from the staff. Very impressive Fitness Center with state of the art equipment and several of the popular machines. Had a delay in getting ice sent to room the first time ordered, but was remedied quickly. Also, plumbing problem resolved quickly. Not a problem as staying here is always a treat.

Es un hotel de principios del siglo pasado, con un excelente nivel y confort, que ya casi no se ve. La cena en el French Room es una experiencia inolvidable, por el glamour, la atención y la excelente calidad de la comida y el servicio.
