The hotel is remodeled beautifully... a perfect boutique hotel. Stylish and clean, conveniently located. And a pretty good bargain. The room was smaller than expected, and the cable television did not have many channels. |

The location was fantastic. They checked someone else, with the same last name, into our room and we had delays at check in. The hotel did nothing to compensate us for our time. |

It was a very unique hotel right in the middle of the magnificent mile. A great place to stay in downtown Chicago. Would be nice if wireless was available in the room for free. |

The hotel is conveniently located in the Magnificent Mile. Around the hotel you can walk in to many shopping areas. There also many reasonable priced restaurants and access to subway transportation 1 to 4 blocks away. Lobby area is reduced but I think this is the style of old hotels in the area. |

Great location. Nice room except for the bathroom. Good value for money. Advisable if possible to get a good deal. The bathrooms might need some renovation. The reception people are not quite friendly. |

The location was good and the staff was responsive and service focused. There was a noticably foul odour in the room, thr service facilcties , halls ,elevators and so on were not up to par. |

The location was perfect for our city viewing. Close to shopping and sights. The proximity to great bars and restauranys make this a definite possibility for our next trip to Chicago The hotel was difficult to find by car. The hotel's actual address is on Huron St., a side street of the Magnificent Mile. Also, the staff at the concierge desk gave us bad information 2 separate times. |

Location! Location! Location! Reasonable rates. Friendly staff. Inconsistency with amenities provided by housekeeping staff in bathroom each day (one washcloth one day; no washcloths two days; only one bar of soap; never replenished shampoo); no drink vending machines on floors (approx $6 can of diet soda from room service) |

The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable. There was a nice view of Michigan Ave from our 21st floor room. The elevators were slightly slow. |

The hotel was old, but room generally clean. The foods was not as good as I expected. As the building is old the lift was kond of small, if you have big bag could be a problem. The security is my major concerned as any one can just walk in take a lift and come into the floor where you stay. Who know what can happen after that. Need to improve on the security to ensure the customer that when they stay at Allerton is in the safe hand. |

The staff were wonderful - pleasant, helpful, always smiling. So many went out of their way to be of assistance. I was traveling with my 4 year old grandaughter and everyone was so kind and delightful to both of us. The room was just right and the location is excellent. Nice decor! |

A great place to come to after a long trip. Helpful and friendly staff. Relaxing yet right in the heart of Chicago's shopping/dining/sightseeing area, the Allerton gives the traveler every "what to do" choice imaginable. |

The hotel was extremely well located, just steps from Water Town place and most of Michigan Ave. We made the reservation some time ago and when we arrived, there were no rooms of our "type" available because the hotel was oversold. They initially gave us a much smaller room (about as big as a college dorm room) and said they would only charge us the lower downgrade rate. After I saw the room I went back to the desk and found out this amounted to only $7.00 per night as we were paying the full rate. I objected and they agreed to give us free brekfast each AM and upgrade us to a suite on the last night when available. But this was only after I complained. It seems to me that the first front desk person should have offered this concession since it was their error. The second person was very helpful but it required effort. |

Close to everything, clean room, comfy bed, great staff. the room set up was odd..although large, the bed was very close to the wall, and you had to practically jump over the bed .. |
