Waiting for elevator at times was annoying, but not a huge problem. Also, the WiFi wasn't free which is hard to believe, but we knew that going into it so not a deal breaker.
Great Location, Friendly Hotel Staff, and an Old-World Look and Feel, but with quite a few modern amenities. Couldn't have been happier with our decision to stay here.
The staff, right down to the maintenance guy who came to fix our heating, know hospitality. The front desk clerk we had was like a personal concierge and spoke with us for half an hour about what to do.
That restaurant was not open
The rooms and the staff
Especially considering that it is a very historic hotel, it was very clean with nice carpets and fixtures.
Cleanliness status especially on the floor of restroom
no pool, no late checkout
nice facilities!! super nice staff, amazing room upgrade!!
I was put in a fifth floor handicapped room. The bathroom was filthy, the toilet cracked, the towels threadbare. The vents emitted a loud gassy sigh every ten minutes all night long. The window looked at a brick wall.
The history and the lobby. Elegant first impression.
Rooms are small for the price. One would think that at the very least a coffee maker would be in the room. Breakfast? I was not told anything about breakfast
Loved the location!
Elevators were a bit slow at times.
The location was absolutely perfect - right in the middle of all of our activity on Michigan Ave. Easy to get to and could not have asked for nicer staff
The room is a little bit small.
The location is great. Walking distance everywhere.
We had to go and we didn't want to! :-[ :-)
Floor 23! View was fantastic! Service was superb all 3 visits! One of my favorite places to stay!
Far too much smoking in and around the building.
The responsiveness to any issue was incredible. Shout out to Russell at the front desk and Jason (manager) for being so gracious to handle a problem with a smoking issue. In my 7 days, I had opportunity to interact with several staff members and they were all excellent representatives of customer service.
shampoo not changed
nice location, large and comfortable room and bathroom
room to small
Thet charge 10.00 for WiFi!!??? Ive never had a charge at a hotel for that....
The room was really clean and updated
The staff was completely indifferent toward us. The Doorman not only failed to greet us but didn't even get the doors for us. After all, he's a doorman, right? Our waitress at brunch was not only inattentive but never smiled or looked me in the eye. I even had to hunt her down to pay my bill. The restaurant hostess was reading a magazine at her station. The concierge sent us to a restaurant that doesn't even exist anymore. All in all, the facilities themselves are nice. However, if you expect friendly and courteous service, I'd go somewhere else. I will next time.
The rooms are clean and updated. This hotel is perfectly located on the Magnificent Mile.
Everything was great
The place is great, it is really easy to get to main Chicago atractions from here
The service, the room and mostly anything in this hotel is good.
Internet, every day I have to apply and pay this has to be included in the price
Breakfast is not included...
In the morning of my first day stay, shower did not work so I switched my room. I had to repack and go up and down several times to move my stuff without any help from the staffs. Late for my meeting!! They gave me a bigger room though.
excellent location, room is clean
Perfect location and excellent staff
Cost of overnight parking was $60/night which easily canceled out the great rate I received on booking.com.
Service was excellent. Front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable and even upgraded me to a 1-bdrm suite. I will stay here again. Additionally you just can't beat the location.
The hotel has all you'll require for your stay but you PAY for everything and I'm mean pay for 1/3 of the price walk around the Corner to Lyfet restaurant and you can have an amazing breakfast with bottomless coffee !
Rates vary dramatically so pick your times but you can find it for around $100 it is great value for money . . . that being said for me this is actually top dollar for the facility at any price higher than that my advice is look elsewhere there are at least 6 hotels in a 2 block radius.
