Wifi should be included
Great location (Mag. Mile), nice room, helpful staff
Best location, nice employees and comfortable rooms
Staff was professional & friendly, location great, decor elegant. Petite room was perfect for one person.
Having to pay extra for Internet, but I understand it is very expensive for hotels there.
Perfect location, good set up for family with kids. (Suite)
Very small elevators, and not efficient. Difficult to get downstairs with bags near checkout time. Full elevators stop on almost every floor trying to go down, taking even longer...
The staff was very nice and helpful!
Small rooms and beds. Very slow elevators! Had to walk down 15 flights of stairs with luggage after waiting 15 minutes.
The location is perfect, the staff is very friendly, I loved the hotel.
You don't get free wifi in your bedroom, only in the lobby. Better than nothing, but it's 2014.
As always the best price for a good room and right downtown.
Rooms are a little small
The location was perfect. Great hotel for the price. Some reviews complained about the elevators, but during our stay, we had no problems at all. The staff was the best we had ever experienced. If you are planning a trip to Chicago, I would definitely stay here!
The price for parking was a bit steep. The rooms were a little small.
The location was great as well as the food.
The fact that internet and breakfast were not included in the price of the room.
Loved this hotel. It had everything... The hotel is really nice, and for the price we were surprised! It has a nice warm feel and is in a perfect location; We walked everywhere. Including the Willis tower and the bean! The facilities offered at the hotel were also very handy, including morning coffee, business centre, gym! Would definitely recommend to friends. This hotel made our experience of Chicago a good one!
Free Wifi could only be accessed in the lobby which was a pain having to walk down to use when most hotels allow guests free access throughout. We've stayed at lower class hotels which offer free wifi throughout.
Location and staff
No counter space in the bathroom.
Excellent service, with a real Art Deco air. A perfect place to stay
The room was surprisingly quite.
Our Standard room was hidden behind the elevator shaft! The room was long and narrow and situated so that you had to sit sideways on the bed to see the TV. No chair other than a desk chair. The ventilation seems to run nonstop, and it was hard to get it to warm up.
Wonderful staff. Good and clean room. Wonderful location. Shopping and food all around. Many buses to take you almost anywhere downtown in Chicago.
staff were always helpful and professional, room clean, amazing lady cleaning the rooms, called Guilda, who was sweetest soul I have met in a hotel. Good breakfast, worth $20. Internet OK but $9 per day, free in common areas. Free coffee at times. Location is really very good.
Chicago street noise (sirens) are not insulated so sleep can be an issue, so try and get high room or one that does not face Michigan Ave......room a bit small compared with outside Chicago but better than some i have stayed in.
This hotel was in a great location to walk to most points of interest in the city - it's right on the magnificent mile. The staff are very professional and helpful, and the restaurant has delicious food. I would stay here again.
Easiest check-in ever, took 2 min and room was even available a couple of hours early! Friendly staff all weekend long. Check out also a breeze, with baggages kept safe so we could enjoy the neighborhood for a few more hours without carrying our bags around. Free simple and safe. Much appreciated!
Room a bit small despite having all we need. No real complaint though.
This hotel is in the perfect spot for everything to do in the city
The rooms were small & The floor you walk in on is not where you check in at which is a bit confusing. Also getting directions to anything from the staff was a bit difficult and it seemed they didn't know their way around
great position, really comfortable, and the free wifi is a good news!!
Fantastic Hotel located in central Chicago. Really easy to get around and incredibly clean. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. Slightly small but that didn't bother us. Staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly.
The style and aesthetics were done well. It was a mash of modern, old, and Gothic. The rooms felt clean and thought out. The location was amazing. We walked everywhere, biked to the park, and took a cab for anything else. Everything was incredibly convenient.
Parking was expensive, and isn't obviously included in upfront costs. Everything feels cramped with low 8 foot ceilings and tiny hallways to the rooms. It was a little hard to get to the first night because the street the entrance is located on is one way, and is off Michigan Ave. You have to circle around to enter. All in all, a great experience once you've stayed.
