Score from 28 reviews Excellent
The room was clean and comfortable. I found the chalet theme appealing and the staff were very accommodating.
Nice resort. Very clean and we'll kept. The buildings and ground are immaculate. It's not the most modern place but very comfortable. Our room was large for 3 people. Most of the furniture is from the 70's. Retro today. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
It's not the 70's anymore and smoking shouldn't be allowed in the lounge. Thats probably why No one was in there.
Nice setting, decent room, bed was old and worn but everything was clean. Had TV with lots of channels, wifi had good signal but prefer a coded portal
Pessimistic owner, No check in till after 4 PM which is a little late. No coffee available till 0730AM. We ski and hike and like to get going in early - sitting down to breakfast at 0740 is a little late for our activities and there are no other options close by. Put a coffee maker in rooms or at least in the main hall for early birds.
the breakfast is really nice, the people are really nice, and the place very pretty
the blankets are really old and scratchy, the bathrooms need a facelift
breakfast was good
1.charge for additional breakfast of child 2.charge for tip for dining room on bill 3.after checking in, Eric (owner) got a phone call for a reservation, while I stood there waiting for over 5 minutes before I asked him where our rooms were-should have finished with me before continuing with the call. He ignores my first request for the location of the rooms. Asked him on each day of our stay to email booking.com information you needed-never did it. Called from home the next day, still did not do it. My daughter had to do it for me.
The place looks taken from a movie from the 40. Everything was on place and very clean. The breakfast was awesome. 12 mins from Bellayre, ski resort. Eric, the host, offered us discount lift tickets. If you want to dine, try Perla most or Phoenicia nearby.
My husband's family used to come here years ago so we decided it was the perfect place for our honeymoon. The staff are very friendly, courteous and professional. Definitely get the breakfast; the food is outstanding!!! Our room in the Edelweis was so comfortable. The bed was perfect, the bathroom was spotless. We will recommend this place to everyone.
Lovely location, clean
Dated décor and furnishings
Great view and park, hearty full breakfast, clean, cute.
No fridge in rooms; a bar in the lounge would be welcome; sound insulation from other rooms and hall is not great
Location in pine forest. Excellent breakfast
The setting atop the hill. The view. It must be fabulous during foliage season. The wonderful breakfast.
The lack of insulation to block out corridor noise when other guests entered the building.
the cost overcharged The place was very dated
And the breakfast was WONDERFUL.
Location to lots of mountain activities. Separate buildings. Very clean. Great bathroom shower and water pressure. The breakfast is included. Best surprise of our first stay...!! Great way to start the next day adventure with the variety of good foods offered!!
1. Clean 2. Beautiful view of Catskills 3. Strong Wi-fi 4. The lodging reminded me of Bavaria in Germany
1. Even though clean, the decor felt like it had not been updated since it's opening in 1936 especially in the main reception and lobby areas. The bathrooms in the rooms appear to be newly renovated but again the furniture and carpet were quite old. 2. My friend and I had read that the Alpine was known for their breakfast which we were looking forward to. When checking in, we were told that breakfast was not served until 8 30, however, we needed to leave earlier than that. We were told that we could stop by and see what was out but nothing could be promised. Since we wanted to eat around 8 15 or so, I thought they could have been a little more accommodating, especially since the price of breakfast was already included. 3. I thought the office where you signed in was not very welcoming or friendly and smelled like smoke.
The breakfast was the best thing going for the Inn and it was even late in opening in the morning we were there.
Poor staff, not too friendly, bathroom door in our room did not close all the way. No Wi-Fi when they said there is Wi-Fi. The screen on my cell phone was bigger than the TV screen in our room. Not worth the money they charge.
The chalets on the hillside are very pretty, the breakfast was excellent and the service was friendly.
The smell of mildew in the hallways was overpowering and the beds were uncomfortable. The much-advertised pool was a dark murky green which would be understandable in spring but in late June?
The complimentary breakfast was wonderful! Would stay there again just for the food.
The room needed updating. Felt that it was expensive for the quality of the room. I've stayed in much nicer rooms for much less. I guess you're paying for the location.
no ice machine restaurant was not open that night
Pool was not in use, resteraunt was not available for dinner even though advertised as open in April. No iron or ironing board in room.
The view was very nice that's about it
The staff we're not that friendly they wanted payment for all 3 nights when I arrived ,we had no refrigerator in the delux king room they have no beer or wine . Room service never brought us Shampoo and body wash when I asked twice and the dining room only opened on a Saturday night . I would never stay there again . It was not worth $700
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was very nice. Very secluded and relaxing with great views.
Place needs a bit of redecorating but they seem to be working on it!
no curtain on door window leading to the balcony terrace had to place a white bathroom towel to block light coming from the sun in the morning...
The pathways were slippery with ice
