construction, no pool, poor choice for food, no available parking, paying twice a day for parking while a guest at hotel
Great location, a block away from Tropicana
Room was a bit small and dated
Dirty and outdated rooms Poor staff service
room was dope as hell
I Loved that the Chelsea is a non smoking facility.
Upgraded my room free of charge
In the first room the heat was stuck on full blast leaving it a human microwave luckily they upgraded my room at no charge
the place was so outdated not clean and more like a college frat house!! All the doors were marked up like they were kicked! The staff charged another room on our account while we were sleep without asking for ID and making sure it was correct and now they charged us for broken lamps that we did not break! Breakfast in restaurant was 4 out of 10 and staff was rude and service sucked! Never again
The beds are comfortable and the entrance looks nice. There's cable. Belgian waffles are good.
But the annex is terrible. Upon arrival after given direction to our room I automatically noticed the difference between the annex and the Chelsea starting with the elevators. The annex elevators looked raggedy and worked slowly compared to the newly renovated and polished ones that led to the rooms of the Chelsea then the stairway was lit up with red arrows that have it this horror movie motel scene appearance. As we reached the room we open the door and it slams against the wall which you don't have to swing with force to do because the entrance is so small. The restroom was the first thing we noticed and the tiles on the floor were yellowing and peeling and then when we used the toilet we literally had to hold the flush down until everything went down which is extra annoying because the toilet is low. The rooms furniture was so old we had this brown night stand that plugged into the wall but for what reason we don't know because it had no electronic device attached nor did the outlets on the table work. Then there was the lamp on the nightstand that didnt work don't know if it was bad wiring or a dead lightbulb but we left it and used their stand up lamp that was behind a lounge chair in the corner all bent up that I had to bend nearly behind the couch to turn on and off which is hard to do 7 months pregnant. The balcony was a equipped with two chairs that looked like they have been sitting out there for almost a century but it was cool out so we didn't use those. Saturday evening we came back to the room to find that neither one of our keys worked so my boyfriend went down to get replacement ones and was told to return with my I.d to show proof it was his room since I booked although his credit card was on file. When he returns with the I.d the same receptionist is given the I.d and tells him to wait just a minute while she finishes up with a customer that came in the short time that he left.
Pictures look nothing like it...its a crack motel
Right next to the tropicana great price for the room comfy bed
Severely needs an update, shower leaked and had rust stains, the temp handles were semi broken. Balcony was nice but chairs weren't comfy at all. Wish they had a mini fridge. Elevator was sketchy as all get out.
Its right next door to the tropicana
The room smelled and has dirty broken mismatched furniture.
Location that's it. Would never stay here again
The room was filthy and falling apart. The trim in the room is completely falling apart and the bathroom was completely gross and looke like it had not been cleaned in months. The curtains were brown (supposed to be white/orange) and had what looked to be blood stains. It is extremely creepy (annex side) this is not sleek or modern it's old, dated and disgusting. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
The best thing about this place is how close it is to the boardwalk.
Didn't like the fact that all the pictures are of the Chelsea and not of the annex. So do not be fooled. It's super dirty and the bed is terrible.
Comfortable bed and The people working there ready nice
The showerhead tripping all night long telephone didn't work hear traffic all night long and people walking bye and a loud buzzing noise coming out of the heater
the only thing i liked about this hotek was the beautiful lobby. thats it.
our room was on the first floor with a balcony over looking pacific ave. no safe no deadbolt.. the balcony door was wide open when we walked in along with all the dresser drawes were all open as if someone was in my room.. very unplesant we left and got another room at the trump taj
We couldn't get out the bed. It was so comfortable, clean .Also the cleanliness of the room was satisfaction guaranteed
The bed was really comfortable. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel - Treplintskys (not sure if this is the correct spelling) was excellent. Breakfast was best I had at restaurant in a really long time. Loved the fire place. Overall very comfortable and cozy on a very cold, rainy and windy night.
Didn't have a hairdryer and I didn't bring mine. I wish I would have checked that before packing.
There was nothing about this place that I liked. Nothing at all...it's horrible.
Would never stay here again. When arriving at The Annex I felt like I was in the Bates Motel. Very creepy and dirty. It reminded me if a cheap motel rather than a hotel. If there was a rating for "disgusting" that's what I'd give it. I felt so dirty when I left. I didn't even want to shower there. The only reason I stayed is bc it was 2 nights and I refused to pay an extra $100 to stay at tr actual Chelsea. I don't think it would have been any better. RUN FROM THIS PLACE. Trust me...it's bad.
The pics online seemed to be representing the Chelsea and not the Chelsea annex. The annex had red blinking lights in the hallways that barely illuminated the walkways, and old dirty rooms that were in dire need of updating. I never would have booked if the pics hadn't been so misleading.
The Chelsea was so much nicer. Up on the 11th floor with a wonderful view. Larger room, cleaner bathroom.. worth the extra $15/night. Although a little bit of a walk from most of the casinos and boardwalk it wasn't bad for the price. We took a cab or uber to most of the places.
We checked in during the evening and it literally felt like walking into a dungeon. When we walked into the room we didn't want to touch anything. It had a terrible view. I immediately went to the front desk to ask for an upgrade and for only $15 extra a night we got a so much nice room!
Nothing at all it was very old looking and rooms was out dated
It is not look like in booking picture. There is other side of new building and was old and dirty!
The beautiful rooms, the location. We were able to walk everywhere!
The pools were freezing and pretty much empty.
Very accommodating for late check out Valet/transportation people were very nice and helpful
Not even a coffee pot in the room. Thermostat didn't work Nasty front desk person For what I paid, I expected it to be nicer. Loud other guests all hours of the night
