Felt unsafe. The last night I was there, I heard several men's voices directly outside my door. After calling the front desk, I was informed that the voices I heard were EMTs and police officers. I was advised a man was unconscious outside my room. Listening at the door, I heard one voice ask three times "you on heroin"? This made me feel very unsafe. After rearranging room furniture to block the door, I was able to get a small amount of sleep. The entire feel of the hotel was that the occupants were of questionable backgrounds. The hotel was probably a very nice hotel in its day. However, its day passed a long time ago. I will not stay there again.
price and service
there was only one person working, we had 4 people in our party and we had to go get additional towels ourselves. there were 2 towels in our room, also the a/c apeared to be not working or working well
Bill Millers BBQ is across the street. They are great. Sonic is around the fence. The facility looks nice and well maintained. Everything is clean. Great value for the money
Cook is grumpy Breakfast is fresh cooked pancakes and sausage, cereal etc. Food was OK. There is a sonic within a very short walk around the fence.
I spent 6 nights there. To be honest, I was a bit worried because many people said bad things about it. My room was ready and clean. My bed was done everyday and my towels changed. The bed! I just loved it, was so comfy and so big! The location was quite good, 10mins from downtown by bus.
There are two things that I didn't like: 1) the transportation system: there was a bus every hour. The transportation system in San Antonio sucks actually (I think). Still, taxi would cost around 11~12$ From downtown which is fairly cheap, especially if you share with someone. 2) there was no lock in the room! I had to carry all my "precious" things with me all the time (computer, jewlery..etc) They said they do have a lock in the first floor lobby but I was more comfortable carrying them with me.
Amout (small) of breakfast serving, as if there would not be enough for all. Ants in our room. No refrigerator nor phone.
The reception wasn't that we'll furniture and need a better lighting system
Easy access, close to highway, free breakfast
Smoke alarm from laundry room Sunday morning, firemen needed to come
definitely the price we were able to book for a 4 day, 3 night stay
the breakfast was a bit lackluster, but still filled me up for long day of sightseeing
Rooms were better than pics. Clean, cool rooms.
Food for breakfast could be higher quality. Mr. Ed , the cook, was ruDE and unpleasant. We actually skipped breal fast 2nd day because of this.
Great front desk staff
Breakfast wasn't good
Spacious room, daily room service, wifi, closeness to other activities
Dirty kitchen staff, poor front desk service more so when dealing with your concern .... Poor breakfast
Location, pool, nice reception area
The room was nothing like the pic on the web. It needed remodeled and the whole building smelled like a nursing home. Very poor quality for the price I paid.
I was very pleased with my rooms. My family and I had a very comfortable stay. Staff was nice and with a little extra effort to decor this could be an even nicer hotel.
Parking good luck with that if there are a lot of people staying.
It was great to have three queen beds because it meant that everyone in the family (of five) could sleep comfortably. The hot breakfast was nice too.
The hallway had a slightly musty smell.
Room was a good size.
I thought the hotel was comfortable and cute. It had character. It was worth the money, and I was overall pleased. The breakfast looked good, although I didn't get to eat any.
The location was close to where we were going for enjoyment. The price and accomidations for 6 people in one room.
Ants and dead bug in bathroom.Pool was to warm and small. Breakfast dinning was to small and crowded in the morning.
it was cleaned everyday, beds were ok , rooms were cool.
breakfast was great
a/c was poor
The breakfast was awesome we had 6 kids and 3 adults and the room with 3 queen beds was a great pick for us
the elevator was slow it was faster to take the stairs
Very outdated building, bad smell in hallways and room. There were no trash bags in trash cans, neither bedskirts on matresses.
The staff was helpful and provided pleasant customer service.
This is an older property that could use a remodel. There were water spots on the ceilings, cracks and flaking paint, musty smell (indicates water issues), and the plumbing has some challenges with gurgling pipes and toilets that must be flushed multiple times to carry away waste.
Everything was good
The ants Was in the rooms
Uncomfortable beds, staff, cleanliness of bedding, walking into a hot room upon check-in. It was not the most enjoyable stay, but I did appreciate the location of the hotel in comparison to others and the pricing was okay. I was not aware, however, that I'd be paying an additional $30 just in taxes. Perhaps mentioning the taxes and what they are for ahead of time would be nice.
Location, staff and cleanliness
fairly old and outdated
