The beds were rather wobbly and the bathroom was tiny.
The kitchen was great and the hotel was beautiful.

Elevator is old and a little creepy
April 28, 2015
Needs some updating (bathrooms, carpets, etc). Funny smell in living room area.
Staff is friendly. Business Center has the basics. Good location (about 15-20 minute walk to touristy downtown area). Not too expensive.

A bit warm and no air conditioning, opened the windows.
Older, but homey place. Enjoyed having full suite.
April 24, 2015
It is on the top of a hill and next to a hospital so there is ambulance noise.
The price was so low for all you get. You must be accepting that this is a 1930 apartment. I is very large with full kitchen, great wifi, lots of windows, huge closets.

I actually like partly renovated old hotel rooms with quirky details. However, this room (the last one available, which may be the reason it was so awful) was truly awful. Bars on the windows. A view of a derelict parking lot with rusting dumpsters. A cramped bathroom. The cheapest possible carpet. The most hideous mismatched furniture that looked like it had been scrounged from Goodwill. All this for $175. a night. It was large, however. Large and dingy.
That I was able to move across the street to the Inn at Virginia Mason (owned by the same outfit) the next morning. The woman at the front desk was very accommodating.

Couldn't connect to wifi. Found it easier just to use my hotspot than to try to resolve issue.
Clean, spacious, great kitchen. Great beds.

housekeeping staff came in on one of the days even though we had a do not disturb sign. fromt staff said they were going to take care of it
most of it! The room was pretty much a suite for the cost of a sinlge room elsewhere. very comfortable stay.

very nice suite and so close for early morning surgery.vwvv

TV reception was awful!
Decor was vook

Had two knocks on the door from maintenance staff wanting to come into the room without prior phone call from front desk. There is an unwritten policy from the manager that hotel staff must enter your room for cleaning at least every three days. Left hotel early to a different hotel that respected our privacy needs.
Location across street from Virginia Mason hospital.

I like the convenience of the Baroness. I come to Seattle for medical treatment and it is just a walk across the street. I find it very secure and comfortable.

The bed was a little too soft for my comfort.
I love how quiet the area is
December 11, 2014
The room was hotter than the hubs of HELL and no way to dial down. There was a fan, which was nice considering how hot it was, but it was loud, even on low. The bed was hard. Putting a good quality, thick foam pad on it would help.
It was close to where I needed to be in Seattle. The Baroness has a cozy, quaint, feeling to it that I liked much better than the sterile feeling of the newer hotels. I felt like I was in a 40's movie. Staff was helpful and courteous. Good value for the money. I would definitely stay again.

My only annoyance was that there weren't any outlets by the bed. I wanted to charge my phone, but had to use one across the room. It's not a major issue, but some people like to have access to their phones in bed while charging it.
The staff and insight they provided about the area were superlative, and the hotel itself was immaculate; it presented such an elegant charm and aura that I don't think anyone could stop in without being completely smitten with it. When I come back to Seattle, this is where I plan to stay, hands down!

I like the location to the hospital, a chance to get outside to go the Hotel, instead of being in the hospital complex all the time. The atmosphere is great, quiet and soothing. very private. easy walk from downtown.

Room service food was flavor free. The toilet was right next to my travel companion's head while he slept with a thin wall between...I was afraid to wake him when I had to poop in the morning.
It was great to have all the amenities of a little apartment. Room service was super cheap. Hotel was close to downtown Seattle, and I was able to leave my car parked and walk everywhere I wanted to go, all weekend.
October 15, 2014
No air conditioning. Wi Fi service was terrible. I have never had a problem signing on at a hotel before. I was never able to connect.
Loved being close to the hospital. Room service was great. Even though the furnishings were old they were clean.

Great value for the time of stay and location.
September 30, 2014
The location was great. The rooms were large me having the kitchen was really nice. The only negative was we had a problem with the price if the room. They didn't charge us tge price we booked in booking.com. I had to call for a refund once I got home and looked at my visa bill.
September 12, 2014
The room smelled strongly of mould/mildew/dampness. Carpets and furniture had a noticeable odor.
We go there before the 4PM check in time hoping to get settled in and rested before surgery the next morning. The desk clerk made some calls and got a room ready by about 2PM.
September 11, 2014
hotel outdated, furniture really old, internet was horribly slow when it worked
September 7, 2014
The climb from the Sound Transit Light Rail station is long and steep---take a taxi. It was hot when we were there and no air conditioning...
The suite was a big one-bedroom apartment. The walk to downtown through the Freeway Park is cool.

The location isn't terribly useful for tourists--I think it's more intended for people visiting the nearby hospitals. The hotel is very old, with an old elevator, but is charming because of it, too. For cooling, there's only a box fan. The toilet handle is behind the lid, which is an awful design.
This is an extended stay sort of place, with a full kitchen and living area. It was clean and in good shape. The soap and shampoo were nice. Everything worked fine. Coffee and wifi is supplied, plus a decent TV and some old paperback novels. The bathroom was in good shape.
