The Benson Hotel    

Location was great.

The room was too small. My cars number plate was half fallen after using valet parking.

Convenient location, charming atmosphere, comfortable beds and pillows, free internet service, huge flat screen TV

Stay was too short

gorgeous lobby, comfortably pleasant room, wonderful bed, lovely buffet breakfast with most perfect bacon I've ever had!

Nice rooms, quiet, clean.

A bit of trouble at check in as they did not seem to have my reservation.

Complementary coffee quit at 8:00, later would be better for a Saturday or Sunday.

The old world elegance was delightful. Our room did not have a view but was nicely appointed and roomy enough for us. The fitness room was great. Convenient to downtown activities.

The parking was expensive and once our car was taken it was difficult to retrieve items we had forgotten to get from our car.

Noisy neighbors, not your fault.

Everyone was extremely helpful and did their best to make us comfortable. The hotel was really beautiful and clean, not to mention extremely well located.

The staff was nice. I was able to check in early and the hotel was beautiful!

I did not like how I did not get the room I wanted it was way to small! I wasn't able to switch and I was charged $200 when they said it was only $169. The hotel is beautiful but I was very disappointed with what I got in the end.

Beautiful comfortable lobby, great staff, quiet,clean, centrally located, reasonable price. Hung out in the lobby more than any hotel ever and I've stayed in the Ritz and the Mark Hopkins in S.F.

Please get better live music in lobby. Saturday night 4/6/13 woman was not great.

The staff were very courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. The concierge gave us very good ideas of surroundings with excellent directions and maps that made our visit easy to navigate.

Staff was great -warm, helpful, professional. Facility was classic old charm. Location was just what we were looking for -downtown Portland with easy access to freeways to visit family and friends.

I would have like more sound proofing. Street noise was a problem around the time bars closed and you could hear other rooms when someone was loud.

The service was great! The staff treats u well.

Room service should be 24/7.

The hotel has great history and liked the old decor. The staff was nice with the exception of younger front desk staff that seemed more interested in their girl talk than helping guest.

The bathroom was very small.

Location is convenient; just down the street from Pioneer Square, shopping, movies, restaraunts, etc. My bed was comfortable and clean.

The rooms were underwhelming. Bad paint, bathroom looked like a bathroom in a home, carpet looked dirty, furniture looked cheap. No robe. The hallway was smokey in spite of the hotel being a non-smoking hotel.

Our room was beautiful, and it had windows in two walls (a corner room).

Fell in love with the lobby!

Everyone is was so pleasant and helpful. The concierage staff was incredibly helpful. Lovely hotel right downtown.

Great people and quality.

Room needs more lights for night time reading. A little store with items often found at hotels would be appreciated: snacks, shaving cream, etc.
