Great staff and breakfast. Sheets could have been replaced more often. Dinner a bit expensive compared to the quality of it (the quantity was good, though). Free Wi-Fi works good and facilities are excellent.. Not great for backpackers, because of the gigantically mixed public (a lot of seniors). If you're young, on your own and looking for some conversation, The Berkeley Residence isn't the place. |

The Employees there are very friendly and kindly. There is no internet and TV in the rooms, and the bathroom are both for male and female. |

Very, very cheap for an expensive city. Loud music kept me up, other residents are not the best crowd. Some shady types around. |

I think this place unsuitable for Booking.com. It is not a hostel in the usual sense (because of long-term elderly residents) and it is certainly not a hotel. European site users should be warned that "shared bathrooms" does not mean what it usually does in older European hotels. Shared bathrooms here mean large, multiple-stall, multiple shower rooms shared by men and women at the same time, and by residents as well as Booking.com visitors, and by people of most age groups. Even experienced travelers will find it a little uncomfortable to be, as it were, invading the private spaces of people less fortunate. |

The Breakfast & dinner were okay. Location is close to downtown. Good for students and backpacker. You pay for what you get. They don't clean your room if you don't tell them. I got my room cleaned after 10 days & only b/c I asked them several times. The hallways smells bad. Internet connection doesn't work most of the times & is very slow. |

Staff was nice. The restroom does not have a clean appeal. It's for multiple persons and it handles men/women - I got out of the shower rapped in my robe with a guy staring ate me. The room and the entire hotel looks more like a nun facility. |

Friendliness of morning staff & totally the opposite for the night shift??Variety of breakfast options Everything: Night receptionist (old tiny lady snapped at me & 10 mins later another guest too?), room 50% clean, slimmest pillow ever seen & broken window, toilets for both men & women 50% clean, no internet access in rooms; only lobby & very weak!! You should advertise it as a youth hostel with shared mixed bathrooms!!!! |

Good money value and good breakfast. Decent guest-house, but don`t expect any luxury. Appearence of the room is quite cheap. They could equip the rooms with a TV |

The location, just a few steps from the metro stop was ideal, you're downtown in 20 to 30 minutes depending where you're going and the free breakfast is a nice touch although a bit too small, but it's ok it's just breakfast and it's free :) |

Location and price. Breakfast was benefit for travelers. Traveller's tip: Take the train from Back Bay Station to South Station to avoid the changes on the "T". Both-sex shared toilet and shower facilities. Deferred maintenance on building interior. Boston needs a hostel but this needs an upgrade soon, everyone will feel better about it. |
