Score from 1362 reviews Very good
Very hot at night. Internet too slow(barely usable).
location, friendliness of staff, communal areas around the lobby were excellent for reading / chilling
shared bathrooms weren't all that clean but this may be being overly-critical. Room was noisy with outside noise but price you pay for central city location.
Good location, close to city center, free coffee & popcorn, free wifi
Central heating can obviously not be regulated, dorm was much too hot; bathrooms were not very clean; toilets & showers barely separated, not very comfortable; curtains could not be closed
the room was great with a beautiful view , internet taking fine line , EXCELLENT breakfast at the bar in front of the hotel including
Hostel it is
Not an Hotel
Clean room Clean bathrooms Good location Quiet at night
Bed was pretty uncomfortable Room was very warm No utensils
Location was very convenient
When I booked the room, I thought I was purchasing something other than what it was. This is a hostel. No tv in the room, only a communal tv room; no personal bathroom, but a communal men's and separate women's facility.
Location is perfect, a lot of Boston's alternative bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. Staff was friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere. There are very similar hostels all over Europe for a fraction of the price but seen the general high prices in Boston this is a good bargain.
The heathing system was not easily turned off, we slept with our windows open in October because of the heath. There were moisturisers installed in the corridor, I can imagine that when they are close to your room (not so in our case) that you have a hard time sleeping because of the noise that they make.
Liked the neighborhood Liked the lobby and community spaces BEST marks go to Staff who were very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable
Bathrooms on our floor for women weren't located anywhere near our room. There was a single stall/shower down long hall and around the corner in middle of floor (passing two mens bathrooms on the way). The door into bathroom banged into the stall. Very small. There was another bathroom with a few more showers at the complete opposite end of the floor. We didn't get any sleep. The room was hot so we kept window cracked early in the night, but the street noise was extreme with very loud trucks and almost freeway sounding traffic all night. Even once we closed the window and put in ear plugs, which barely muffled sound, it was still very hard to sleep. Windows were difficult to open and close which was especially hard in middle of night when I didn't want to make more noise (or turn the light on) for my roommate by trying to close the window. The price for this hostel is higher than the one in Chinatown, which has much better sleeping/bathroom accomodations, a continental breakfast and is in a far better central location. I won't stay here again.
We. We're attracted by the cheap rates for a bed in central Boston. Sharing restrooms was. No problem!
The location is very convenient and the staff [except for one or two people] are very friendly.
The rooms are bare bones, with terrible lighting and no closets. There is not even a chair or table to work on if you need to write or work on the computer. There are only 3 shower stalls and 3 toilet stalls for men to be shared with 33 rooms. The bathroom looks old and dirty.
Location and staff, cleanliness was Ok.
Small, noisy rooms without any facilities.
It is a hostel, when I have been there I knew it. Small room and shared bathroom.
Super friendly, helpful and informative staff who went out of their way to make sure your stay was pleasant Brilliant location Free wifi, use of tablets, free coffee and popcorn Breakfast vouchers
They'd stopped serving breakfast without letting us know- though they did reimburse us with vouchers. It was very loud on the street outside in the mornings There seems to be permanent residents living there They'd stopped giving away free tickets to local attractions Felt like the kind of place that was at its best around 5 years ago
noisy, can't opet the window
It doesn't include breakfast, noice from the street because the window didn't close, it should have rooms with private bathroom.
Sunrise view. Quiet room. Location.
Tiny room for three people. Spartan. Only parking nearby is expensive $30. Scratchy and use-worn towels. Like a dorm room.
I thought the nightly rate was obscene for the glorified dorm room I stayed in. Never again.
nice premises , and emplacement
lot of noise at nigth , people running corredors and slats doors strongly
Location is good, around $25 taxi from airport. $3 on the subway (5 minutes walk away).
Expensive for a hostel, but given the average in Boston, a good price!
Good Popcorn Near Chinatown
WIFI Slow Two People Room too small to fit two people
Room is small, furniture is old and bed is soft. Too much noise from outside.
the staff, location, price
There is no way to control the heat in the room.
Excellent location Friendly staff [mostly]
Bare bones accommodation Hostel takes advantage of those people who cannot afford anything better Old dirty carpet and terrible bathrooms Rooms are spare and not comfortable at all The owners and management should be ashamed of themselves--they're making so much money while giving so little to those to stay there
near the center
too much car noise at night
