Super friendly, helpful and informative staff who went out of their way to make sure your stay was pleasant Brilliant location Free wifi, use of tablets, free coffee and popcorn Breakfast vouchers
They'd stopped serving breakfast without letting us know- though they did reimburse us with vouchers. It was very loud on the street outside in the mornings There seems to be permanent residents living there They'd stopped giving away free tickets to local attractions Felt like the kind of place that was at its best around 5 years ago
It doesn't include breakfast, noice from the street because the window didn't close, it should have rooms with private bathroom.
I thought the nightly rate was obscene for the glorified dorm room I stayed in. Never again.
nice premises , and emplacement
lot of noise at nigth , people running corredors and slats doors strongly
Room is small, furniture is old and bed is soft. Too much noise from outside.
the staff, location, price
There is no way to control the heat in the room.
near the center
too much car noise at night
Friendly and very helpful stuff. Great location.
No breakfast served in the hostel. However because I made my reservation before they stop to serve brfsts, I got a ticket at the reception desk for the free breakfast at the buffet across the street.
Bathrooms were recently renovated and in excellent condition, very clean.
Bedroom (2 twin beds) was as advertised, but not very clean. Floor was very dirty.
Very clean with plenty of common space, guests respected quiet hours
For as spartan as the hostel was, I thought the nightly rate was too expensive.
We booked this accommodation so there were no distractions for us going out and seeing boston. And when we were back at the hotel, we had everything we needed. Clean showers, clean bedding, VERY QUIET not a party hostel.
Only one shower each floor
Good location, friendly staff, clean bathroom
Very noisy, bad smell in rooms, uncomfortable bed
Very basic facility. The room is very small and the bed is uncomfortable. No room cleaning service. No hair dryer in the room. No rack in the shower room. Only one key for we two persons, so we had to go to showers in turn!
Location was excellent. Walking distance to Northeastern university. Helpful staff.
The room looks like a prison! No mirror! A single bed with a fan. Door is locked with key, not card. Late in the night a boy climbed up the window to enter his room...I don't know how he did it. It was 6th floor! I was afraid of the situation, since he was one meter away from my window!
Location &On-Site Amenities
The heating in the rooms was ridiculously high even when switched to the lowest setting.
Location is good. I'm not sure if any cheaper hotels could be found with such a location.
Shared bathrooms are not so clean. BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL because towels are not really clean enough (though washed). There is no soap, shampoo, dryer, nothing. Bring everything you think you need. But the stay is OK...
The shared places like bathrooms, lounge and tv room with real theater seats and free fresh popcorn. The sight.
The quality of the room but you are juste supposed to sleap there.
You got what you paid for.
The room was very much suffocating , there was a huge machine running just outside my room all the night and there was noise and suffocation because of that machine. I didn't sleep properly the whole night and I am planning to sue them for such room.
i would nerver stay there again
I liked the location - easy walk to Boston Common and the surrounding area. The facility was clean - and it was available when a lot of downtown Boston was not - and the price was reasonable compared to the few other available hotels that still had rooms.
Was not too keen on being on south side of Mass Pike - the facility itself is showing its age - lifts were so very slow for the short distance they travelled - lino floors were ordinary - no hangers in wardrobe - generally very spartan, and a musty, old age smell.
The WiFi connection was fast and robust.
I didn't like the shared toilets and showers. Obviously I didn't come across these details when I was making the booking so, my bad. But I don't enjoy having to take a shower or use the bathroom when there are other people in it.
The price was very good and the beds were clean. In our bookin breakfast was included but they had canceled their in-house breakfast, so they had these coupons to get breakfast in the place across the street, which was also very nice.
For some reason only one shower in our whole story was working but I didn't experience any lines fortunately.
very easy to take subway to get anywhere and feels safe to stay.
