- The staff were semi-friendly and helped me out with a blanket because it was quite cold in the room - Convenient location - It was clean - They even had a bucket for ice - The room is spacious No other pluses, I think.
- The room was cold - Facing the street and poor windows so I clearly heard all the motorcycles and cats mewing at 6 am outside - No bathroom in the room, the bathroom was shared. I couldn't even imagine that the bathroom can be shared, but it's my bad - The room is in a quite poor condition reminding me of hospital rooms - No restaurant or anything inside (which is not a ig deal because of the location, but if you want room service, I believe there is no such thing there)
I lived in this hostel in winter 2013, when it ordered the breakfast, which was very delicious. But now it no longer orders breakfast.
The hostel is clean, but not very. I never used its blanket as I found hairs on it when I just arrived in the room.
The breakfast across the street was nice, the location in proximity to everything downtown was okay. Price was good
couldnt sleep well due to heat and noise, bathrooms were questionable
Few staff were working and while we were told to wait, the staff wasn't quite polite
The location was great. The staff were friendly enough and there are pool tables and a movie room.
Even with the cool facilities, it didn't have a great atmosphere. The bed was the worst of our six week trip. All the furnature was Ikea in our room, and the slats we're warped. We had to pull the bed onto the floor to sleep! Book for two nights, lasted one.
Great location Really helpful staff Clean and tidy rooms and facilities
It was really noisy (street traffic but also a huge fan placed in front of my door) and hot in the room
We paid for breakfast and it wasn't served. We paid for a double room with a large bed and we got a two bunk bed room.We said we'd arrive at 3pm, we did, but we had to wait for two hours to get our room.
40 Berkley is centrally located in downtown Boston. It is within easy walking distance of the city centre and public transport locations.
Nothing in particular.
It was so stark, I was scared to be there.
The free wifi. The movie area. The open space.
It was not the most clean hotel in town.
Less expensive than the hotels (though still a lot of money for the value), convenient location.
No air conditioning. Loud noises coming from the street. Loud people in the hallways. Power out to the lights in my room and the bathroom.
frandly staff lokation
bad sleep no air condition
a room with just two twin beds and nothing else...it was like a prison room (but with a window)... i was quite shocked when i opened the door.
The wifi here is very poor, and sometimes it just broken. And sometimes there might be a power off.
Not too costly close to everything/center lots of facilities.
bunkbeds (clean and ok, but ...)
The common room is great, a nice place to relax, talk with friends and spend some time. The bedroom has a small fridge and a decent bed.
It was summer and the room gets a little hot, the ceiling fan only works with the lights on, so you cannot leave it on while sleeping.
Excellent location. Good breakfast.
Rooms are very basic, no table or chair. Just a bed. If you are used to a minimum of comfort, this will do. Of not, you will need to go somewhere else.
Needs refurbishing. Showers were very dated and did not feel clean. Rooms were run down.
It was the cheapest hotel.. Wifi Location is nice, 10-15 minates walk from city center Close to cafes and reasturesnts Early check in
The ladies bethroom was on the other side of the floor and there are 3 showers for one floor. A bit far from city center
Restaurants are close by Clean toilet and shower
Beds too small for two adults, even for a couple Bit further from city but in walkable distance
location and facilities
just a bit old, it was ok though
Nothing except closser to my conferance place
Staff with don't care attitude. You have to ask for towel, soap and shampoo. No even a cup for water. I still did not get tiny soap.Urinal stopped up in men's bathroom despite complain next day it was same. In women's bathroom shower with 1" of water backed up nothing done even on next day. How can you get by with such horrible condition. It's not even inexpensive. For $112+tax/night you expect atleast clean room and bathroom.Broken table lamp in the room.Nasty hallway carpet. Is someone checking on from even health point of view. I have stayed in better and atleast cleaner hotel even in 3rd world country.I like to see that people and owner get to see my experience. All other hotels nearby were sold out or else I would have checked out. Terrible and awfull place. With condition like this it should be shut down untill cleaned up. Nalin Albemarle, NC
location friendly staff
too expensive (bad price-performance ratio)
This place is good only for students seeking for temp accommodation before moving in to their leased one...Only plus points are room price( IN COMPARISON TO BOSTON HOTELS ). location proximity for some universities like Northeastern..
Small ,poorly maintained rooms ,resembles a rundown hospital , Shared bath areas are old and needs an up gradation, located at one place may find you walking down in long passages. Not recommended for families, and older people..room tariff not worth the facilities you get..
