ants in my room, frig stopped working, a/c stayed on instead of the heat and my stay was in the winter. I became ill right after my stay with Bronchitis.
Spacious rooms, free breakfast, shuttle to metro, helpful staff.
Wifi connection was not stable sometimes.
Staff was amazing!close to airport and convenient parking on site.
We left too early (5 am) for shuttle to airport and breakfast. We arrived back too late for shuttle from airport. Parking is free while you stay but not during your trip. Plan extra expenses.
The location is very convenient to DC.
1. We stayed in January so the weather is very cold. The room is cold and the heat is not hot enough and only could be set at 85 degree, can't higher. 2. There's only one thin blanket on the bed. We asked the front dest to give us more blanket, they said no and only gave us 4 small towels. Major rooms are empty but the staff reject to give us one more blanket. 3. The shuttle can't pick up people on time. We stand in frozen dark night for more than 30 minutes and the shuttle was late 30 minutes. The next day we got a fever. 4. It's worst BestWestern hotel I lived.
price, cleanliness and comfort as well as location
Good price for dc stay
I liked staying to the hotel nearby Metro Station, I remember used ART 84 to Pentagon City as well as ART 87 to Pentagon. It was so friendly place however didn't remember to sign for my rewards.
Security systems is not very good due to the fact that guests rooms are not protected very well. Also availability of porters, I remember we had to carry our big bags at least to have a trolley to carry bags.
The location of the hotel to Pentagon city shopping mall and the provision of a free shuttle bus.
The wifi in my room did not work at all. Always had to go to the hotel lobby before it works.
Room was VERY well used, and needed remodel badly.
The shuttle service to the metro is awesome. Free parking is great.
Bus loads of students rolled in one night around 9 pm. They finally settled down about 11. The pickup when getting off the Metro at Pearl City is problematic. We usually had to taxi cab back to Best Western. You cannot walk as you need to get on the expressway.
Staff was great...upgraded us ..made sure we had a ride to and from the metro promptly.
Leaving at the end of our stay
A series of unfortunate events marred our stay, making it the most memorable hotel from six months of travelling but not in a good way. We were checked into a room that was only recently vacated and it was quite a mess with food on the floor towels everywhere etc, but then quickly shifted to a room down the hall that was clean however room keys did not work and nor did the wifi. We went down to reception and it was sorted out in under 10mins. On our second day we went out sightseeing and returned to be locked out of our room. When we went to reception we were told we couldn't access our room as someone else had been checked into it. As all our belongings were still in the room we were less than impressed. Upon re-entering, the wifi was down again and the phone in the room was not working. This made yet another trip downstairs and outside to the reception building necessary. It rained heavily for the duration of our stay which did not make the trek to reception any more enjoyable. For the most part the staff were very unhelpful however one girl at reception was always very apologetic and tried her best to get things running smoothly. Despite her help this was overall the worst hotel experience myself and my friend have ever endured. We were heartily dissatisfied. We must have gotten very unlucky I'm sure not everyone has an experience like this at that hotel.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nothing extraordinary, but it was alright.
Location was a bit out of the way from the major sites. It is called "Best Western Pentagon", but it is nowhere near the Pentagon. Don't let the name fool you. There is another Best Western that is much closer.
Facilities and location
Breakfast was a great service that was replenished regularly by a friendly staff. Shuttle service from airport was efficient and comfortable.
The shuttle runs to the closest Metro stop during peak afternoon hours need to be more frequent, especially since the shuttle could not accommodate all the waiting patrons. The next shuttle could take 30-40 minutes to loop back.
the wi fi is not good.
Perfect Location for visit to Marymount University. Good Breakfast -with typical choices, very pleasant staff. Room good size and comfortable, beds very good. Quiet location.
The photos and information on the internet is far from indicative of the actual accommodations.
The value can't be beat! I was taking my daughter for a school conference, and had limited funds. Thanks to Booking.Com we paid 79 a night for breakfast buffet, free wifi, and free shuttle to metro. Others paid a premium to have hotels right on metro, but didn't get either breakfast or free wifi. (which I needed so I could do work at times.)
The only drawback was that there was an access panel for maintenance to get to the bathtub pipes, and it smelled of mold. After the 2nd night, I figured out that might be what was making me congested, as the congestion cleared up when I was away from the room.
Prompt, courteous, flexible van service. Good breakfeast (& VERY good coffee & Lattes!!), 3-5 min from DCA airport, 7-8 min from Pentagon City station.
Price, location, breakfast
The hotel was very far from the city center and the shuttle frequency very low.
Nice breakfast, the beds were super comfortable, and the shuttle service to the subway and back was very reliable. Would definitely stay again.
We had an issue with the bathtub. From the first time we used it, it seemed to be clogged. I reported the issue to the desk but for the duration of our 3-day stay there no one came to fix it.
Car could be parked there for 2 weeks, with shuttle to and from airport.
Last shuttle is at 10 pm. If it weren't for strong tailwinds, we wouldn't have made it and would have had to take a taxi, negating the savings on parking. Also, one member of our group said she had bugs in her bed and got multiple bites.
Staff was fabulous. Very accommodating.
