very social place, meet people from literally all over the world, Summit County needed this place! Great breakfast, very comfortable, ON LOCAL TRANSPORT BUS LINE, literally minutes from ski slopes at Breck.
The Bivvi is a modern clean and extremely comfortable hostel. Having arrived on snow packed roads was very pleased to ride the free village bus which collects you from just outside the Bivvi and drops you off at Peak 8 base. Lovely views from the lounge and staff were very helpful and on hand early till late . Jacuzzi was most welcome after a days skiing . Definitely would stay again.
Can't fault anything
Friendly staff Relaxed atmosphere Great breakfast Attractive facility
Loud partying going on above us at 12 midnight The property is hard to find
Location and the morning breakfast. Everything so nice and clean and the view.
The only thing the lights in the room and TV remotes.
The atmosphere was great, the breakfast was great, the owner was very nice/friendly, the room was clean, the surroundings were beautiful. The overall feel was so relaxing. I wished we could have stayed longer so we could have enjoyed the great fireplace in the common room. We felt more like we were staying in an Inn. Wonderful.
I forgot to bring my own pillow and since I have trouble with my neck, I found the pillows were kind of too thick. (For me) Not really a complaint. Anyway, I used a couple of towels folded up as a pillow. In the morning we were kind of unsure if the room would be cleaned and towles replenished, etc, since this wasn't a usual hotel, but a hostel. We left the room for quite sometime and when we returned in the late afternoon, we found that no one had come in. We ended up asking the person cleaning for more towels. She said she would be there in a little while. Although this is hardly a complaint, which it isn't, I guess it would be good to know if the rooms are replenished routinely if you are staying more than one night. The other 2 things that were kind of bothersome, but have NOTHING to do with the place itself.....I was woken up by loud laughter from the hot tub some time after midnight. I think the hottub is supposed to close at 11, but this was much later than that. That same night, I was woken up by a couple having a fight that sounded like it was coming from the next room. Very scary and distrurbing. Again, these were just isolated cases and have nothing to do with the management. You can't control the behavior of others or wether or not they are considerate of other folks.
We thought the facility was great. Outstanding value. Staff was very gracious. Other guests were friendly. Room was very comfortable and surroundings were outstanding. Breakfast was very adequate.
Little walk to town but did not really bother us. Nothing more!
Was unsure what to expect, luxury beyond belief!!
Modern, clean and great value
Nothing to mention
This facility is isolated from the noise of the downtown traffic. They prepare a very delicious breakfast.
we loved everything, and we'll be back when we can make use of all of the amenities.
no air conditioner, and the fan did not work, probably due to the bunk bed.
Place is awesome! Great staff. Nice and new with a hot tub and outside fireplace. The Breakfast is exactly what you want to start the day. This place makes it the breckenridge experience possible and more enjoyable for any traveller.
The place just has good vibes. I will be back.
Noise of destruction/construction next door.
Friendly staff, nice clean room, hot tub!
Have to realize that this is a hostel, not a luxury hotel. Even the suite was just ok by hotel standards. Off-season travelers will find better deals closer to town.
cozy room, open great room, decks, breakfast was delicious.
Some noise from the floor above.
Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff in a nice area close to main street and bike trails.
Rooms don't have lockers. Prefer segregated male/female rooms. Rooms need more outlets for charging phones.
Rustic but full service. Great property. Beautiful. Spacious. Comfortable.
The decor of the place was cool - beds were comfortable & breakfast good.
Wish it had air conditioning. Needed for summer.
The rustic look of the whole place was awesome. And it was close to everything.
The construction next door
Lodge feeling. Reception area very nice.
Small rooms. No seating on balcony.
Clean, comfortable, with just the right amount of mountain hostel comraderie. Close enough to town to walk, far enough to get away from the tourist crowds. Really nice updated building, nice hottub, firepit. Great to have our host serve us good wine after a hard day od playing in the mountains.
Not much! Wifi was a bit spotty in the rooms farthest from the common area.
Room was nice. Furniture was log style and cozy. Small little patio. Nice fire and jacuzzi. They served a great breakfast...
Arrived at one for early check in and told to come back in an hour. No one was there to check in early and no one answered the phone till 4:00pm!!! Poor
Quiet, view and feel of the property
Couldn't use the hot tub the night I was there
view out the room door and windows, minimize waste shampoo in shower, decor, comfort of beds, food, common room
a bit dark in the rooms if you want to read before bed
The views from the great room were breathtaking. The breakfast each morning was very good. The owners went out of their way to accommodate us. They have a great idea with the hostel end of this establishment...just not our type of lodging.
-Our room had 2 uncomfortable hard wood chairs...that's it. Nothing else to sit on...tried to soften them with pillows. Believe they desired maybe for folks to mingle more in the public areas. -Highly recommend they put a small fridge in each room...we stuck our water out on balcony to cool off at night.
