Good location and nice rooms
I have stayed at a number of places over the last few weeks and this was the only one where there was an additional charge for parking and even more surprising was that they charged guests for WiFi. Another problem was the drunk guy walking around banging on doors for hours during the night preventing anyone from getting any sleep
The lobby was beautiful. The room and bed was nice.
The elevator was nasty like it hadnt been vacuumed in awhile. I was on level 3 and the halls hadnt been vacuumed there either. The bathroom was sooo small in my room. I could barely turn around. the shower was weird half the water was coming out of the shower head other at the bottom so my tub was full the whole time. I dont think it was worth the money i paid. my view was awful too. I seen the top of a roof of the building next door. plus my room service was 27$ for 2 eggs and potatoes and a 5.00$ tea. wow!! I wont be back!!
Hotel is very nice, the staff was friendly and if you enjoy a drink the bar is an excellent place to unwind. The hotel is located downtown Charlotte and close to pretty much everything. It is easily within walking distance of all the main attractions.
Seems like a complete contradiction but...here it goes. While the hotel is located in downtown Charlotte the hotel is several blocks from the main center of the city where all the bars and restaurants are located. Ok to walk during the day but the walk back at night was a bit sketchy, I would cab home at night. Hotel itself is great though!
The staff were very courteous and efficient.
The hotel is old and you can see it everywhere, the rooms, showers, elevators, carpets, the lot. A note in my room says they're renovating to become Le Meridien, it will hopefully get better then, but was certainly not worth the money I spent.
Nice, clean rooms.
There was construction happening directly above/outside of my room which did not make for a restful sleep at all. It would have been nice to at least be made aware that construction was happening but instead the agent who checked me in duped me into thinking I had a "view of the city".
For $179 a night breakfast should've been included. Instead for a breakfast buffet that didn't really have many choices, it was $18/person.
Rooms were comfortable, modern, very clean. Staff very friendly.
No vending machines readily available late at night since we were travelling with a diabetic child. There is a $20 parking fee that was waived but was unexpected and would have been frustrating if charged to the bill.
The elevators didn't work well, and it was difficult to get out of the building without them.
Nice view of the city & great staff.
Guests shouldn't have to pay extra for parking & room was a bit outdated with furniture & decor.
I mentioned to the Staff person about the annoying noise we heard all during the night and he said we could have requested a different room. But after getting settled, we just put up with the noise. He also said he would have somone check on the noise. I was happy to hear the Staff took our concern serious. And for our interrupt night, he waived our parking fee which I thought was very thoughtful.
We were assigned a room next to the elevators. All during the night we heard a constant annoying noise that awaken us. We throught it was from the elevator because our room was next to the elevator, but the noise sound more like a generator. Once in a while we could hear laughter at the elevator.
they seem reliable in many aspects
they didn´t insist with my wake up call
Staff was very personable. The rooms were well appointed. I would recommend this location to anyone.
The location was excellent. It was within walking distance of several important sites.
There are no amenities. No workout or jacuzzi and I had to request a microwave be brought to my room. It was very exspensive but about on par with a Days Inn
Restaurant was horrible. No liquor license, rooms were dark.
