Overpriced rooms just adequate no comfortable chair shower curtain installed incorrectly as a result bathroom floor very wet and dangerous

Charming, local inn. Personnel was very accommodating. Convenient location to Greenport & Orient Ferry. Lovely, clean rooms.

We had requested a room near another couple in plenty of time, & was given 2 rooms that were quite a distant apart (especially, considering our 1st nite, there were very few guests. Also, the 2nd nite, around 3:30 am, a large group of unruly, loud guests, were disturbing everyone else who were trying to sleep.

On site restaurant was superb and not too expensive. Good location for seeing east end of Long Island.

The room was modern with a full kitchen and small shower room. The bedroom area was not really big enough for 2 queen beds. OK for 2 of us, but would not have liked to have 4 sharing.

We stayed at The Blue Inn because of the proximity to the vineyards. Our room was very clean and the king bed was wonderful.

The bathroom was smaller than many closets. I think a shelf could be added for guests to put their personal products.......a hairdryer would also be very welcome as well as spending a little more money on the full length mirrors--the one in our deluxe room looked like it came from a funhouse! Our first morning we slept in and missed the continental breakfast. Although based on the previous reviews it was probably worth missing. The second morning (day after Labor Day) there wasn't any breakfast anywhere, in fact, we only saw 1 young woman in reception.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely accomodating and so nice. The room was spacious and clean. The little kitchenette and fridge were great to have. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had wonderful danish, bagels, cream cheese, juice, cereal. We were very happy. Wish we could have stayed another night, we would have had dinner there, the set up looked charming, but it wasn't open the first 2 nights we were there and we had other plans one night. Next time. We will go back..

The hotel has been recently renovated under new ownership. Rooms were very clean and new. The staff was great.. Very friendly. We would definitely stay again and recommend them to all our friends. They did a beautiful job renovating the place.

1. Having a covered outdoor area to eat and read. 2. Picnic tables and chairs under the trees to enjoy. 3. Good location for Greenport visitors. It is away from the center of the town.

The best part was they were dog friendly and the staff was very accommodating

The location was very nice, close to many of the wineries. It was quiet and peaceful.

On the advertising there is a picture of an old house, and we expected that we would be staying there. Instead, we were in a refurburished motel in the back. It was comfortable but not "charming" like we expected. When I told the owner that I thought it false advertising to use the picture of the home, she became upset with me. Breakfast was included- pastries and cereal. The first day was fine, the next two days the pastries were stale and we could not eat them. For the price, I expected better. The beaches are covered with rocks and stones, so it was difficult to walk, and my daughter had a difficult time walking out into the water because of this. e

The restaurant food was delicious. My kids enjoyed the pool.

The pool water was freezing. It was early in the season so it may warm up but a heater would have been nice. The sheets are only cleaned upon request which is fine but it would've been nice if they told me that. The room was not cleaned very well.

Nett ist die Bar im Freien, wo man abends schön sitzen kann. Das Restaurant ist gut besucht, das Essen ist gut bis sehr gut. Trotz der einfachen Einrichtung - überdachte Terasse- relativ (generell USA/NY) teuer. Am gleichen Ort git´s (inklusive) das Frühstück.

Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, das Bad winzig, es gibt nicht mal eine richtige Ablage für die Badutensilien. Die Doppelbetten sind sehr schmal. Der Pool ist sehr klein, kaum geeignet zum Schwimmen. Für Kinder/Jugendliche ist der Pool zum Planschen ausreichend. Frühstück (2 Sorten Cereals, Joghurt, Bagels, Blueberry Cake, Früchte, O-saft, Kaffee) war einfach aber OK. Leider war es jeden Tag mit Wartezeiten verbunden, da die nette Bedienung total überfordert war, nicht in der Lage das Frühstück zu planen und freundlicherweise mit den Gästen plauscht, anstatt zu sorgen, daß alles da ist. Insgesamt war die Entscheidung für North Fork und Greenport/East Marion verkehrt, da man nicht allzu viel spezielles unternehmen kann Als Empfehlung gilt die Gegend um Shelter Island, North Haven, und speziell Montauk.

Le calme, la zone géographique dans long Island, l'aspect global de l'hotel, la serveuse du petit déjeuner très sympa.

Le petit déjeuner : les denrées alimentaires apportées au compte goutte, tout dans une vaisselle en plastique ( pour couper une pomme avec un couteau en plastique faut être rusé..), pas de pain, que des bagels ou des pâtisseries pleines de sucre et de crême, pas de thé ... que du café!!, La douche froide ... en panne sans doute , mais aucune compensation.. Si .. une autre douche dans une autre chambre ou bien changer de chambre.. Quand c'est la seule étape un peu longue du séjour c'est plutôt rasoir de refaire ces bagages pour 36 heures. L'accueil : nous sommes arrivées à 9 h 30 pm et bien c'était fermé ( or il y avait un restaurant qui lui était ouvert..) et la responsable a eu du mal à venir nous donner les clefs : il n'était pas marqué que l'arrivée devait être à 3 h pm .. sinon je n'aurais pas réservé la, notre avion arrivant à 6 h pm à jfk

Clean room, nice location. Courteous staff. Very noisy in the evening because the outdoor dining area is only a few yards from the rooms. The chef was very friendly and actually put together an interesting menu, even though it fell a bit short on execution.

The live music was awful. Can't they find any decent musicians on the North Fork? Also, the "free continental breakfast" was a joke. Burnt, weak coffee with low-fat milk, a few supermarket-quality pastries, only two choices of cereal (Fruit Loops and Corn Flakes), some white supermarket- quality bagels, and a couple of out-of-season supermarket apples and pears. No other fruit--nothing seasonal or ripe (don't they have melons or berries on the North Fork?), and no proteins of any kind. We saw a lot of people bringing takeout to the breakfast area because the choices were so awful. Why even bother with the "free breakfast" if this is the best you can do? Better to eliminate it altogether and drop your price a little.

It met our needs but just barely. Location was central to various points in the region.

Room was very tight: it was very small - especially the bathroom - and all the rooms are saddled closely together. Our room was attached to the kitchen and there was considerable noise and reverberation until late at night (not sure if they were moving large containers or what). Breakfast was stale cereal and sweets.

The restaurant is superb, and it was great to have a pool nearby. This will be a much sought-after inn in a few seasons!

We could tell that the management was completely new. Facilities were updated wonderfully, but management let their stress show.

die betten hatte eine schöne farbe. es gab einen pool

im Zimmer gab es keinen schrank oder eine andere Möglichkeit seine sachen aufzuräumen. Der koffer konnte nicht aufgeräumt werden un stand die ganze zeit im weg. die zimmer waren für so etwas viel zu klein. Im bad hatt man kaum platz. in der küche fehlte ein flaschenöffner, den man an der rezeotion abends auch nicht besorgen konnte. es war niemand da. die Rezeptionisten wirkten genervt und unfreundlich. das frühsrück war mäßig und nicht liebevoll.

Loved that is was next to a lavender farm, easy access to wineries.

cheap renovations, a bit of a distance from Greenport

The people (staff) were very friendly and accomodating.

The picture gave the opinion of being a b&B in an old home. . However because we needed a first floor room it was in a motel like building. The rooms were very small but adequate. Also breakfast was served "outside". Had to contend with "bees".

The Blue Inn was perfect for our trip to Long Islands vineyards. We arrived late Friday night but the front desk made it very easy to get our room key whenever we arrived. The awesome outdoor seating restaurant/bar was open when we arrived at 10pm and were very friendly. Al talked to us about the local vineyards and the wine he carries. Our room was clean, cozy, and comfortable and came with everything we needed. The next morning we enjoyed the continental breakfast before we headed out to the vineyards. We would definitely come back again!

Sehr sehr nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, der Pool war super für die Kinder. Frühstück war auch sehr gut.

Schade das das Restaurant nicht auf hatte, als wir dort waren.
