Little far from the subway station and transport but the free shuttle to the transport made up for this.
All staff were very friendly and very helpful. They really made us feel at home. The hotel decor was so interesting.

Nothing really may be lack of parking!! But staff were helpful with support to find appropriate parking
loved the creative, tasteful and quiet design of the room.

Could be more Eco-conscious. Would like a recycling bin for glass and plastic. More towel hooks and reuse of towels should be default option.
Spacious, bright apartment-like room. Attentive, informative staff. Efficient, clean kitchen area. Closets. Shampoo, conditioner and gel pumps in shower. Ample room for three adults. View of foot and bicycle traffic on Pulaski bridge. Easy parking!

I loved the Box House. Friendly staff, amazing room, great location. The attention to detail in the styling of the suite was gorgeous. I had everything I needed and only wish I had been staying for longer. I loved the neighbourhood and it is a great little (10mins or so) jaunt on the East River Ferry (after a short walk) to get over to 34th St on Manhattan.
May 12, 2015
Staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was very close to downtown.
May 12, 2015
No bad experience but room a little dark with very little natural light.
Good reception and free car service. Helpful staff and large comfortable room with good facilities. Good photo opportunities of Manhattan in evening and morning. Good bars and restaurants close by. Hipster and organic..?

No Restaurant of any sort.
Friendliness of Staff and the quality of the rooms.

we did have cell phone reception - we had to walk out the hotel to take calls - the wifi wasn't that strong
I loved the staff and the accomodation.

Some piping problem have caused noise first two nights but we got new room with apologies and without any hustle.
Impeccable cleanliness, helpful and resourceful personal, extremely well equipped kitchenette. Attention to details.

Everything! The decor is amazing, friendly helpful staff, loved the location, the availability of a car to take you within a couple mike radius was luxurious, comfy bed, the list goes on ...

The 10 mn walk to the subway station was not a surprise. After a couple of days the courtesy car driven by Mr Singh was much appreciated.
Nice room. Not like a room in Manhattan. Gives a opportunity to visit Brooklyn.

The rooms were large and comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked, staff was very helpful.
April 28, 2015
Friendly staff, very clean, well stocked rooms, very comfortable. It's not exactly the prettiest block in the neighborhood, but once you're there, it feels so safe and comfortable, and the staff will help you get anywhere you need to go.

I loved the individually styled room, welcoming, helpful staff and cool location.
April 24, 2015
Everything!! Could have facilities for food e.g restaurant but other than that the best place to stay. Staff were extraordinary, so helpful, so polite. Location isn't ideal but isn't to far.
April 21, 2015
Location is a little away from main metro line, but not too bad as you can walk over bridge to queens and get meteo to Manhattan, just over 10 min walk. Room had no windows to see out, which felt a little claustrophobic. Also some construction happening opposite, but in New York you're usually up early to enjoy the city.
Big room, beautifully decorated, lots of little treasures, nice living space with kitchen, two TVs. In Greenpoint, a nice neighbourhood.

Absolutely nothing. Can't wait for the bar to open!
Area is really up and coming so great to explore, and the hotel has a free taxi to hand (old school yellow NY taxi, v cool!) to take you anywhere within the greenpoint/williamsburg area so it's really easy to get anywhere you want to go if you don't want to walk. It's also 10mins walk across the bridge to the subway, and 2 stops to Times Square so really easy to get to Manhattan. Interior design is stylish, very urban and trendy. Beds were unbelievably comfortable. Rooms really quiet. Spot on facilities. Wifi always worked - I had to do a bit of work whilst I was out where and it was always working impeccably. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Gym is good too. We didn't have time to try the sauna unfortunately. A lot of the restaurants nearby deliver to the hotel, and there are loads of very cool places to eat too in Greenpoint and Williamsburg - every type of food you can imagine. Five Leaves was unbelievable for brunch. Bounty was great for dinner. I'm quite critical!... but I cannot fault this place, and it's at such a reasonable price too. We had a loft suite on the ground floor, no. 2, it was perfect. The rooms with roof terraces looked fab.

I can't say enough amazing things about the Box House. I've traveled all over the world and this was by far the BEST hotel experience I've ever had. The facilities were perfect (beautiful spacious rooms, nice-sized gym, great sauna, convenient location and car service... but really what made this experience top-notch were the amazing staff...I can't remember everyone's name, but our first point of contact was Alicia (or Aleeysha...not sure of the spelling) and she was just great...from that point on everyone was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful with anything we needed. Our very last point of contact was Albert for our ride to JFK, and he was equally as wonderful. All I can say is that I"m recommending this hotel to anyone and everyone and will find any excuse to come back to New York so I can stay here again. A+ all the way!
April 12, 2015
I would recommend that reception calls in metered cabs as the one called for us charged $35 dollars for a trip that shouldn't have been more than $20. He was also driving incredibly slow to make the journey longer. If I were you I would go to the main road and hail down a cab instead.
Will definitely come back and have recommended this hotel to everyone. They have a shuttle service that drives you within 1 mile of the hotel., Takes you to the nearest station one of which is only 3 stops away from Times Square.

None to report.
Easy access to Manhattan via the G or 7 subways or by the East River Ferry. But for a refreshing change from Manhattan it's a great location to explore Greenpoint and Williamsburg and see more of the real New York.

Hotel was a bit off the beaten path from things however we used the hotel driver/shuttle quite a bit & every one of them were great! Construction across the street started early during the week & could be noisy at times.
The staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. Rooms were clean & comfortable.
March 25, 2015
No bad experience what so ever.
Extremely friendly kind and friendly.

Our group were disappointed with the lack of any sort of view from the rooms. Our room was advertised as having a terrace, yet it was a 3 ft x 6 ft space with noting to look at but a wall.
Location, free shuttle service, the hotel itself was very nice. Staff were very helpful...

The Box House Hotel is in a fantastic location, a sort walk to the Subway, and situated in an area packed with great dinner options (really too many to choose from). The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, and couldn't be faulted. The room itself was superb, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. I know where I'll be staying when I come back to New York.
