Score from 153 reviews Wonderful
In a renovated paper factory, this Long Island City hotel features an on-site café. MoMA PS1 is just over 1 mile away. Air conditioning is provided in each modern room at the Paper Factory Hotel.
Score from 526 reviews Very good
This 4-star New York hotel is within a 5-minute walk of the 2nd Avenue Lower East Side subway station. It features modern décor, an outdoor pool, and the Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya Japanese restaurant....
Score from 425 reviews Very good
This New York City hotel is next to Brooklyn's MetroTech Center and a 2-minute walk from the Hoyt Street subway station. The hotel has a restaurant and an indoor/outdoor pool.

Loved the art deco style artwork and cleanliness of box hotel couldnt be faulted.Wifi and use of comp was good . The drivers of free transport were excellent and very knowledgable and helpful.
Thought we had paid for loft style apartment with mezanine floor .Sofa bed was not fabulous for price we paid .The bathroom did not have any where to put make up toilitries etc and shower was so high up by the time water hit you was just about a trickle and was hard to adjust.was far away from anywhere to get food easily seeing there was cooking facilities . Mostly ate out .Shame they didnt do breakfast. Was gap in curtains that didnt keep out street light and could be noisy close to street
Very unusual and quirky - great design features. Lovely comfortable and large room and the kitchen facilities were excellent. Easy walk to the subway and only a couple of stops into Manhattan.
Would have liked a bar/diner facility within the hotel as you didn't always feel like walking to find a restaurant in the evening or eating in the room.
(1) Wifi: signal should be improved (2) Room radiator: too noisy (3) Bed blanket: additionnal blankets would be appreciated...
Taxis are expensive in NYC so being a relatively short walk from the subway is fantastic! We checked out at 11 but they kept our luggage for us all day anyway while we went out.
Great staff, great room, great view (we had room with city view), close to purple 7 train, 10 min walk (just across the bridge) LOVE the bed! It felt kinda hard at first, but do think it was some kind of memory foam, and we both slept SO good!
Bad wi-fi it the only thing, the rest was perfect! The hotel staff told us that people with Apple products was the only people complaining, and we have nothing, but Apple :) :)
Hotel was very comfortable and very clean! Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
While we always felt safe and walked to a couple of nearby restaurants for breakfast, the neighborhood is a little run down and dirty.
We stayed as a family for 5 days and found Greenpoint to be an excellent location - loads of independent cafés, shops and delis with a laid back neighbourhood vibe that was cool but not too hectic. Great hotel, friendly staff.
Coming from East London, we appreciated the industrial chic of the old building and fantastic views across to Manhatten from the roof terrace. The only downside was vibration from the traffic on the bridge behind the hotel.
except they didn't have a room phone...its done with a concept in mind...but still I would have preffered a phone for calling if I need anything....
I liked the size of the room, the design, the special decorations, the artwork, the deck, the kitchen facilities, looovved the bathroom, and I liked the televisions & access to channels.
There was no jacuzzi, and there should be, since there is a gym, and they need a restaurant since it's a bit far from off property restaurants! Also, the ties on the curtains in my room weren't hemmed which made them look cheap.
Taxi service to local areas is great!
Finding a parking spot can be tricky.
Beautiful quirky gem of a place. Previously stayed in downtown New York, so looking for something different this time. Took a duplex so there was plenty of space for 4 of us, and kitchen gave that flexibility to eat-in (plenty of deli's nearby). Larger property than I thought but still peaceful, friendly and comfortable. easy to explore Brooklyn and down town New York using the subway or the ferries - especially with the free local transport provided. Gym was a surprsingly good addition too. But it's the staff that really make the place great from the counter to the drivers and housekeeping - all superb.
spiral staircase a little un-nerving to use in the dark - but looks great!
Peaceful, quiet.Feels exclusive without the big price tag good value for money so close to Manhattan lots of good eateries near by!
The front desk people are very very friendly and helpful. The rooms and gym are clean and comfortable. I love the eccentric decor; it's elegant without being overly fancy (which is generic anyway at expensive chain hotels). I've been to this hotel twice and I would definitely book it again if I have to stay in Brooklyn for a concert.
The housekeeping staff bang loudly on the door and make a lot of noise. Not really a big deal though.
Small but perfect Fitness Centre with Sauna and Steam Rooms. Tasty coffee free in the suite (you have to 'make' it yourself but the machine helps very well!) Room layout and decor made me feel like nodding and smiling. Location of the hotel had to prove itself ..but quite soon it felt like a very sensible choice. All staff were genuinely pleasant and friendly and fun.
The toilet seemed rather small ...reminded me of long gone potty days ..not so terrible really ;)
Beautiful accommodation. Very tasteful. Comfy beds. Helpful staff. Love the car. Great place to stay !
Nothing. All good .....
What a fantastic hotel!! Loved everything about our stay. Great location, a couple of mins from midtown on the subway, then fanatic views on the walk to the hotel. The rooms were spacious and styled beautifully. Staff were very helpful (especially our driver Felix who have us some fantastic recommendations). Will definitely stay here again!
Nice spacious clean room Staff very friendly and kind Cool old NY taxi to drop you off
Really nice hotel, the loft duplex was just fab! And just what we were after. It was a short walk from greenpoint subway station (about 10/15 mins walk) on our arrival and also not too far a walk from the east river ferry which was great to see the views of Manhattans skyline. The hotel shuttle service was really handy and one of the drivers, Felix was really helpful. He suggest a cute diner for breakfast on our last day and it saved us traveling out too far. We also became engaged on out trip so will definitely be back to stay again!! The free wifi was super handy for helping up keep in touch with family and friends back home.
Having no wifi on my computer would put me off staying there.
This hotel is very welcoming and decorated wonderfully. It's got a hip vibe without trying too hard. The rooms are spacious and clean, with excellent in-room kitchenettes. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Staff were attentive and polite. The ride service is a big plus for getting around the Greenpoint neighborhood.
Unique style, home from home feel, easy access to Manhattan, very good shuttle service.
Local area run down at present.
Excellent room size, beds, interior. Located in Greenpoint, very relaxed neighborhood yet close to subway and East River ferry. Free hotel taxi can bring you to Williamsburg. Very good restaurant on Ash st (3min walk).
I love the warm welcome you get at the reception,I commend Jeneka at the reception, the helpful hand of the door man Mr Philips, you feel at home.
Poor reception in the room, and the idea of going to the reception to make call with the landline.
I like the hotel, the facilities were perfect for a solo business traveler. The rooms are a lot bigger than any rooms you'll find in Manhattan, and the option of having a kitchen is great.
The walls are a bit thin. It wasn't a huge issue for the first 3 nights, but when a gaggle of pre-teens rolled in, for what sounded like a pajama party, sleep was difficult.
Homey environs, very helpful and courteous staff, complete facilities, clean and artfully decorated rooms/suites! Will stay here again the next time...
A little noisy in the morning due to an ongoing construction nearby
