Peaceful location. Our room had a balcony where we could sit out and watch the boats in the harbour and look out to sea.The room was very clean and comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Good views of ocean along with river and boats. Closest place to town where small waves would still break on bank to give you sounds of the sea. Staff very friendly and helpful. All areas clean and well kept.
A little far to walk into town, but not an issue if you enjoy walking and don't buy anything too heavy. Could use a hot tub in the annex building where we stayed.
Clean, nice staff, spacious room, modern facilities, good breakfast.
The pull out sofa was very small and very uncomfortable.
The area where the Inn was located was very nice. The stay would have been a delight had it not been over shadowed with the negative issues.
Entrance very dirty with debris at main door. Clean the entrance area rug of leaves and debris. This is the first impression to clients. Both mens and woman's sauna not working (we were very much looking forward to this feature). Call in a repair company to fix the sauna immediately when a breakdown occurs. You are offering this as an amenity to your guests. Breakfast was included in the room rate?? There was not even so much as a crumb of a muffin. Coffee urn was even empty. This is an easy fix - have danish, muffins, etc. as offered in the "Room Details" data sheet. Again, NOT GOOD business.
Staff was incredibly friendly, accommodations were spacious and cozy. Location was perfect for watching the sunset with a bottle of wine.
We liked our room and especially the breakfast room and breakfast selection.
Room was clean, but beautiful view was difficult to see through very dirty windows. Walk into town was a good 25 minutes. No coffee in room.
Our room...service very good And breakfast quite nice...the service was excellent and cheerful !
Strippers dinner was poor. Service could have been better and choice limited. Would not eat there again.
Spent 3 days at the Breakwater Inn Spa Bldg. Big room on 3rd floor. Lovely view of river & ocean in the distance. Large room with Super comfortable bed. Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was adequate but view from the dining room was a great way to start the morning. Diner menu limited but food was excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Poor lighting in bathroom. WiFi was in & out. Chairs were comfortable but couch has lost its support.
Location and staff are excellent
You have to walk up the street to the dinning room - issue in bad weather
Great big comfortable room and bath in the newer spa building. Convenient to the restaurant and shops in the center of Kennebunkport. Nice breakfast.
Only detraction was the spa building overlooked a parking lot. The main building has a nice lawn on the river which is just a short walk from the spa building.
Great location and view from the king bedroom. Very peaceful and restful place to unwind.
The staff here is excellent. Came for rest and visit family in Kennebunk. From the minute I came through their door and checked out I found them pleasant and helpful. Also their breakfast was so good. Met so many happy guests. A joyful stay!
Nice rooms. Clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Staff was helpful and pleasant.
The restaurant was very disappointing. No public place to congregate with guests of fellow travelers.
The innkeeper/receptionist made us feel very welcome when we arrived. All of the staff there were excellent. Room was very clean and comfortable and the scenery was beautiful. I regret only spending one night here, next time it will be for longer.
Location was great - restaurant across the street was great
Bed was horrible for a place advertising to be a spa.
Courteous and staff. Our spacious room was overlooking the Kennebunk River and Ocean. The food was outstanding. We ate at their main dining room, Stripers, and it was the best meal I've had in a long time.and You can start the day off with the Inn's hearty breakfast. I had a facial at the SPA, which I would recommend.
No elevator. My husband had a knee replacement in June, and because there was no elevator, we had to walk up 2 flights of stairs.and no one was there to help us with our luggage.
The room was nice and spacious and very clean. The view was great. The food at the restaurant was excellent.
People speaked in the corridors in front of the room. It was noisy we could hear children running in the room above us.
Steam room wasn't working and the bartender didn't make very good cocktails.
The view of the river and the sounds of the breakers at night from spa room 304 was peaceful and relaxing. The king size bed was something out of a magazine!
The lighting in the bathroom was horrible, not suitable for putting on makeup. The bathroom fan was very loud and only worked with the heat lamp.
Beautiful location, relaxed atmosphere
The area/view was nice. Close to everything.
Cold shower the first morning. Free internet not working. Very bright in the morning (the blinds were not thick enough)and the sun would wake us up at 4AM. Had a massage...very dull! And the steam room was out of order. The breakfast, well BOO...very boring and the three days we were there it never changed!! We ordered eggs (that's all you could order)the 3rd morning and it came with...nothing!! I would NOT recommend this place!! This was supposed to be a romantic getaway...
Everyone was there to please you. The Continental Breakfast included freshly made waffles. Great Clambake on Monday evenings. We ill be back next year!
The spa rooms are slightly less convenient to the rest of the inn (we heard the staff say "if you go to the main inn 50 yards on your right ..." a few times) than other rooms, but ours was quiet, clean and comfortable. Laying back on the bed and looking out the window, the parking lot out back disappeared and it seemed as though we were right on the water. The service also was great. For example, even though we left our "privacy please" tag hanging on our door when we left for the beach, housekeeping hung a bag on the handle with fresh towels and bottled water. What a nice surprise when we returned, salty and sunned out.
1. Market price for lobster at the restaurant seemed pretty inflated for the location. 2. If you're going to have wait staff at a free continental breakfast working for tips, why not just offer a breakfast menu at the restaurant? We would have spent more and the tip would have been even better. 3. The little public beach one property over from the inn was not mentioned as one of the close-by beaches. It was a hidden gem! No restrooms or facilities, but quiet, not crowded, perfect for a couple looking to relax together without any fuss.
Very zen feeling, relaxing, quiet. Clean and perfect location.
