This B&B was absolutely amazing from the moment you stepped through the door. The hosts Susan and David were hospitable, very accommodating and made you feel so comfortable...it was like you were home! David made exquisite breakfasts, the presentation was unbelievable...I wanted to take him back home with me! I couldn't have asked for a better experience and look forward to returning!
Susan and David were just wonderful and very hospitable. The room was lovely and very clean. They went out of their way to make us comfortable.
My husband loved the breakfast, but unfortunately I didn't care for some of it because I don't care for peppers, onions or mushrooms. The fruit bowl was good and so was the the bread and sausage. I"m more of a scrambled eggs and bacon person.
Great room excellent breakfast We stayed in many places during our month in the US and we would have liked more of this quality and character.
Nothing at all
Very helpful and friendly 'family run' inn. We left early in the morning and David made sure we had a full breakfast. Crockery, china, furnishing etc all period pieces and very fitting for the ambiance of this super B&B
There was nothing we didn't like.
Loved the 18th century building. Loved Susan and David. Loved, loved, loved the excellent breakfasts.
That we had to leave.
Everything.....friendly welcome, good local info, great company, delicious breakfast, well presented rooms all with traditional antique decor.
Only having to leave.
The wonderful, charming old-american house (built in the 18th century) under enormous maple trees; the warm welcome, the excellent breakfast from products of the garden or regional farms (special thanks to David!), the furniture, the china-porcelain for breakfast, the kindness of the host - we felt really "at home"!
The beautiful breakfast made of fresh local ingredients served on antique china dishes is charming! The cozy bathrobes in each room makes you feel at home. The antiques about the B &B reminded us of our childhood. A warm and wonderful place that I plan to come back to and tell others about!
Highly recommended. Best B&B during our 16 days New England Trip. Out of this world breakfast by creative David.
The welcome. Good quality bed, good and original breakfasts.
Not being offered a choice of breakfast on the first morning. Whilst loved by one of us, the breakfast provided was not to the other's taste. Alerted to this, we requested what we wanted for the second morning and had a marvellous breakfast as a result.
I'm not an antique buff, however I found the house to be charming and quaint. The hosts do everything possible to make the stay pleasant and comfortable. The oustanding feature is the gourmet breakfasts served with linen and china. We went for the leaf peeping season the first week of October. The trees were beautiful, but it would have been better to be a little further north in NH.
All the bedrooms are upstairs.
Breakfasts were particularly good and the innkeeper was friendly and knowledgeable. Kudos to David the chef.
Peaceful and pretty...host and hostess very pleasant
Didn't realise we had to drive back to Keene to find somewhere to eat
Everything about this bed and breakfast was amazing! This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast and it was everything I imagined.
My daughter and I traveled to the Bridges Inn at Whitcomb House B&B just recently and found it to be so very delightful. The House was clean, we experienced excellent Hospitality & we would absolutely return. We were able to easily be comfortable and had an excellent selection of homemade breakfast foods during our 2-day stay. Innkeeper Susan and her son were very warm and friendly to be around and we enjoyed ourselves very, very much. Relaxing, Peaceful and a lot ameneties that we found useful.
We do not have any complaints nor issues to share.
The character of the inn is outstanding and provides a real feel for the history of the surroundings. David provided great service, an excellent breakfast, and interesting information.
As is to be expected of a residence this old, there is always some need for repair somewhere. This didn't create any problems with our stay, however.
Best breakfast I've every eaten. We stayed for 3 breakfasts, which were all amazing. Scratch made bread, muffins, etc. The chef made sure to ask about food allergies and still made some of the best meals I've ever eaten. There are also tea and coffee available all the time along with tasty chocolates. I really can't say enough about this place. I'm very glad we chose this place over a hotel/motel stay. We plan on coming back during the winter break! Once again, great service!
The owners and chef run a first class place. I really wouldn't say anything negative about it.
Place needs a good cleanup with some paint and lots of yard work. The ragweed was 2-3 feet tall!
Excellent hosts, interesting furnishings, and an extraordinary breakfast, with everyone sitting around the large dining-room table--all this just yards away from a covered bridge and just a few miles from Keene (another pleasant surprise) and from a Market Basket supermarket. The Bridges is well worth going a few minutes off the beaten track.
I enjoyed the charm of this home and the welcoming and top notch service provided to guests. The homemade breakfasts were a delight and were made with care and delicious local ingredients. I also enjoyed learning some of the area's history and taking advantage of sights that were recommended to us. For us, our stay at The Bridges was a quintessential B&B experience in a very likable New England town and fulfilled our expectations in every way.
Location. Friendly and helpful staff.
Lack of the ability to open windows at night.
The ambience of this B&B is unsurpassed. If you're looking for an authentic New Emgland lodging experience, the Bridges Inn is perfection. Breakfasts alone are worth the stay. David is a most accomplished chef, host and conversationalist. We will return!
Our stay was too short. Other than that, we have no complaints.
It looked like every B&B should with flowered wallpaper and antiques. The hostess was so friendly and gracious. Her son Dave did a great job on the breakfast. We especially appreciated the fresh fruit and delicious bread.
The vegetable lasagna could have been warmer as well as the turkey sausage. Bring it to the table after all are seated.
Owners, breakfast, other guests, beautiful home and decor, quiet and peaceful, beautiful grounds, comfortable bed and bath.
hard to to negatively critique!
Nice greeting and a nice smell of homey cooked food. Clean appearance. Great breakfast.
