Very good location at walking distance to gaslamp and very close to port and to Little Italy. Easy valet car park.
Special thanks to Ahmad in the front desk
No fridge in the room
Wonderful staff - friendly and helpful - comfortable beds, great location - walking distance to great restaurants. Will definitely stay there again.
Would have loved a coffee service for guests. Coffee maker in the room didn't make enough coffee for all of us.
Very good location.
Soundproofing is so bad, it is almost impossible to sleep while neighborhoods are talking or watching TV.
I have stayed at numerous hotels in San Diego. I had not stayed at the Bristol before but it will now be my preferred hotel. The rooms are roomy and well appointed with plush bedding, linens and even a robe. It's a short walk to the gas lamp district and little Italy. On check we were surprised to get $2 drink vouchers in the bar.
There's some train noise that might upset light sleepers but not me. The hotel provides ear plugs but we didn't need them. Many hotels are a bit noisy, especially in the gas lamp district (late night revelers). But this is far enough away that that was not a problem.
Great location in downtown San Diego; I attended the Paul McCartney concert and this hotel was perfect. Great food in restaurant and the room was quiet and elegantly decorated. I loved the bed sheets! Hotel staff was very helpful; I especially liked how they smiled and greeted you. It made my stay with my girlfriend that much more special. This is my 2nd time this year to stay at the hotel and do it again later this year for another ladies weekend!
The room was nice and clean
Waiting 30 mins for car after check out, valet very unorganized. Clerks did not verbally explain $100 deposit at check in, amenities not worth price of room...no pool, no spa, no view, no complimentary breakfast.. Only a $2 drink ticket...
Best location in down town dan diego. Great service.
A little nose from the street - but the hotel provides complimentary ear plugs.
Parking Fees; Bathroom was too congested; The hotel looked new but the rooms had kind of an old-like feeling to them.
Extremely friendly & helpfull staff
Walls aren't soundproof, you can hear whats going on in the the rooms next to you, noise from the street at night was frustrating & it was a major issue for us Ear plugs are provided though
The room was very presentable.
Clean room Nice furniture,,,modern,,, Great location
Didn't have a fridge
The staff woke us up before 8 am on a Saturday to let us know we were being too noisy the night before and three different rooms complained. Our room was in front of the elevators and had no neighbors on one side. When we asked the staff to give us more information about the complaints they kept giving us different information and threatened to "evict us." They essentially lied about how many "rooms" complained and when. On top of that they gave us a bizarre story saying people could hear us talking through the walls so they were given the ok to call us at 7:45 am. We were sleeping, not talking. We were in the rooms a total of 30 minutes the night before freshening up to go out. Also, I booked two rooms together but we were on different floors. I would not stay here again. The staff is unprofessional and unfriendly.
Nice renovated rooms and bathrooms, free wi-fi.
Parking should be free for guests. No free breakfast as most hotels have.
Modern flair with great character Clean Great service
May need a new HVAC system. AC was a little noisy.
This is a very nice hotel. The room was spacious and had newer furniture. It is in a good downtown location.
No refrigerator in the room. No courtesy shuttle (not a bug issue). On site dining options a bit pricey.
The 50% off at the restaurant was amazing. Room was clean and comfy, service good.
Room service breakfast didn't seem uniform in portions from day to day
I liked that the room was very clean and the decor is beautiful. Also there were no hidden charges.
Water drainage in the tub/shower was very very slow to the point that I was standing in water while showering.
Everything but the lack of a pool. All personnel were wonderful to deal with, the place was clean, food good and reasonable priced. We were there for a week on vacation and would return but......
The room was really nice and clean. The decorations are modern and appealing. There was a jar of candy that was especially good and the staff are awesome.
I did not like the fact that there is no self parking and that you have to valet. However, it was only $26 and i found it was one of the cheapest in downtown.
The hotel had a feeling of peacefulness and the area around the lobby was a great gathering place. The young woman who checked us in was very respectful and charming.
We saw lots of homeless people and it was very scary. We walked to a pub that was at the Gaslamp and at 6pm it was getting sketchy but coming back to the hotel at midnight was very scary and if I wasn't with a group of friends I would definitely stay away. I even heard the clerk in the 7/11 say that a employee quit due to the homeless people. Women should not walk alone at night here especially since we didn't see one police officer all night. It would be great if the bar was open earlier and later so you don't have to go out.
The staff was very nice!
The rooms and beds were a little cramped!
This is my first time in San Diego and the staff at front desk gave us a lot of information, they are patient and kind, always ready to help and I felt good staying at Bristol Hotel.
