Location; This hotel is in practically the center of the Loop. Very easy to get to, very nice staff, excellent facilities. LaSalle is a major stop in Chicago. The blue line goes practially from O'Hare to this hotel. Literally the hotel is around the corner from the LaSalle Stop. And the LaSalle/Van Buren stop serves several lines on the El, including the brown line. Also, the views are insane from the 40th floor. 5 stars all the way. Two elevators to get to your room, but not that big a deal. The hotel is also right outside of a major Metra station, so you get all kinds of characters walking by. To be fair, that is on the side where you get the cta trains, you can also walk in on the other side, which is peaceful and solitary. Do not expect maps or anything either. This is a business hotel, without much for tourists, though the staff is helful in pointing you in the right direction for maps or whatever else you need. Continental Breakfast is kind of a joke too. Bagels and cereal, and they ran out of coffee the last day I was there. Whatever, it still deserves 5 stars because the positives are overwhelming.

Enjoyed the proximity to the shopping area. Missed the opportunity to use the sport facilities (gym, pool, etc.). We'll have to go back...

The bed was extremely comfortable and the location was ideal. The best part of the stay was the warm and helpful staff at the reception desk!

It was very quiet and not at all crowded, the staff was very friendly and helpful, we were able to swim at the athletic club after we checked out of the hotel, and the athletic club was very nice The breakfast was not that great (it was served on the 3rd floor); getting around the hotel was a bit cumbersome (but that's not a big deal)

Quiet and the view of the Sears Tower was awesome The room was very clean however the sheets smelled like too much bleach. It was so strong that it irritated my eyes & made my nose stuffy. Also, I grabbed an orange juice out of the fridge & it was expired Sept. 2011, we are in Feb. 2012. I would only recommend if they toned down bleach & have all refreshments in fridge updated.

I thought the staff was very helpful and eager to please. The health club was a huge bonus for a business traveler. The room was nicely appointed. It would have been nice to have the option of room service.

Secure building and lobby. Security guards 24/7. Clara at reception desk was knowledgable and very helpful. Would stay here again. Weekend cont breakfast does not include hot breakfast. Only had out muffins, bagels, and cold cereal. Not happy with that.

The location was great for a conference I attended. My room was very dated. There was no room service available. Booked a king but got two queens. Front desk is so far away that it wasn't worth it to try and change rooms.

We stayed here on our honeymoon, there was some construction going on during our stay, but the hotel accommodation was over the top. We aren't a very 'needy' couple, but when we did, they were very attentive. We did notice it was defiantly a business stay, but I would highly recommend it, the pool/hot tub and club are very nice, and we never were crowded in there. Only down side we noticed in the location, everything seemed to close really early that was directly around the area, maybe that is just Chicago? Other then that, great place!

This is a unique hotel at the top of the Chicago Board of Trade building. Our 40th floor bedroom had a spectacular view of the harbour/marina lake front of the city, with Navy Pier to the left and the Adler Planetarium to the right. The Metrak train from O'Hare airport has a stop at LaSalle station, within 200 meters of the building (unfortunately, the station elevator was not working and there is no escalator - steps being a possible problem for the elderly traveller). The continental breakfast is adequate and the staff are friendly and professional. Hotel visitors are free to use the well equipped gymnasium of the Buckingham Athletic Club. The main shopping areas of the Magnificent Mile are within reasonable walking distance and the Loop mass transit line runs close by - staff of that system were helpful on the occasions that we used it. When departing for the Metrak station at LaSalle, one of the hotel staff was most helpful in assistance with luggage. No complaints. A very good variety of tv stations was available + free access to the internet.

The comfort and design of the room. The concierge on check-in and the one on check-out. Within walking distance of our destinations. Cool place!!! Expensive, but great value compared to other places. Drunk businessman making crude comments to my 23 year old daughter while waiting for the elevator: Oooo, does that nose ring hurt? etc. Made her uncomfortable and caused her to wait for an empty elevator.

Location is good: near railways station, but very clean area; near the city center (you can reach many attractions just walking around). View from windows was wonderfull. One of big advantages for me is the availability of a SPA center. Very kind people at reception. Breakfast is rather poor (but this is common for all American hotels), level of a 3-star hotel in France or a 2-star in Germany and Austria. The service in the hotel is done too early ( 8h30-9h00) while you are still at breakfast or even in the room (they knocked several times to one of my friends and insisted to enter and begin their cleaning).
