This is no reflection on the B&B but my husband and I were trying to find our way back to the B&B on our first night and we had our map and were approached by a few girls who told us if we did not put our map away we would be mugged. This is just a warning for anyone else to maybe use google maps on your phone other than the map provided by the B&B. Althought New Orleans is a fantastic place and so historic we are so happy we got to see it but we did not feel safe after what the girls told us so on our second night we got a taxi back to the B&B.
We were greeted by Ricky (Carl was out of town). He is an amazing host. Gave us a map and showed us where to go and where not to go. We stayed in the Blue Room and it was perfect for our two night stay, it was very spacious and very clean. It had an ensuite which again was extremely clean and fresh towels were also provided. There is an outdoor hot tup out the back which we took advantage of on our first night, however as it was very warm that night we did not stay in it for very long.
Breakfast on both mornings was fantastic, selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cerals, bagels, breads, tea and coffee were made readily available. We had just come from staying in a 5 star hotel in Orlando and can honestly say the breakfast here at the Burgundy was way nicer.
The B&B is located in a housing estate, the neighbours seem extremely friendly and the swing on the porch was lovely.
We loved our stay at this lovely B&B, Ricky really made our stay enjoyable.
Thank you Ricky
