눉We booked the Cleveleand House with another couple with a king size bed
on the first floor for them. When we arrived, we were told that due to
construction, and no tv we would be moved to the inn next door ( admiral
Farigut ? ..no sign on the building) First . the house smelled musty .
the front door was being scraped. Pain chips on the hallway floor. The
first floor room was a small room with a double bed. A closet with half
a ceiling that could fit only two shirts, peeling baseboard paint,
Broken baseboard heater... Walls needed repainting. But for one night
the bes was comfortable. The Second floor room did have a king size bed.
And was a nice room. Breakfast was to be in our building. But in the
morning there was a hand written mote saying stove broken Breakfast
across the street in another of the 4 inns the Innkeeper owns. ( inns of
newport) the wait staff had to use an electric griddle to make breakfast
for everyone. So, eggs were already cold by the time bacon/sausage
were cooked...But, they worked really hard with what they had... ( while
the owner just asked us where everyone was from then left...) The room
was not made for 14 people. The nice antique tables were not made for
dining... ( tea tables,card tables ) So, while the location was good.
And the place was fine for one night, I would not reccomend it for a
