The beds were very comfortable. We did have a quiet room but heard from others that they had a noisey area. Very nice hotel. Close to Santa Monica Pier which was my attention. The floors were very dirty. I had to wash them myself or made sure we wore shoes at all times. I was told I was getting a room that opened to the beach but was told there was a problem with the reservation. I really didn't see any rooms that opened towards the beach. They did upgrade us and everything worked out fine. There was no a/c in the room but there were fans, Wish they had a pool, You have to walkdown stairs through a gate and cross a street to get to the beach but you couldn't get back the same way. You had to go around the block and get back into the hotel by the front. We wished that the gate could be opened with the hotel key.

Good location within walking distance of Santa Monica. Room stank. Breakfast was a joke. Parking was inadequate. Poor security. Staff was disinterested. Room facilities came out of the Ark. Hotel charged more than quoted via Booking.com. This hotel should be bulldozed.

The Hotel has a good location. The linens were clean, and the beds had premium sheets and comforter. The Hotel wasn't as represented. We were in a 2 bedroom suite. We expected two bedrooms. We had one room (like a regular hotel room) with another small alcove off the room. There wasn't a sofa. It was a love seat. The room smelled of pine cleaner and vinegar. No carpets. Just tile. The sink leaked, and there was an old rag under the pedestal sink to catch the water. Parking is a zoo, impossible. We reserved 3 nights and left after 1.

Location was great, can't argue with that. Staff was friendly upon check in & check out. The price of the hotel was very expensive considering the lack of amenities. No heat in the room. Had to request for a plug-in heater. No maid service. Room was very small for such a high price. Wood floors and thin windows made for a very noisy stay.

Good size comfortable unit, with good kitchenette. Located very close to pier and beach and only a very short walk to the main shopping and eating areas. Free wifi No phone in the unit, and Booking.com advertising for our room indicated that it was a two bedroom unit, which it wasn'T. It was a one bedroom unit with a extra single bed in the lounge/dining area. No jug in the kitchen.

The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. Close proximity to the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A bit of a distance to walk to the shops. No swimming pool or any lounge chairs to lie/sit on outside.

The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated and has a total get-away feel. I loved the murals in our room (36) and the surrounding areas so much I took pictures to duplicate them in our bathroom when we move together to remember the weekend always. We loved the "royal" bed in the little alcove and basically stayed in it all weekend.

the location is very near to the ocean beach and the 3rd street. The breakfast is very poor, it is only cup-cake, coffee, milk and yogurt. the room is very small, old, and you can hear the others voices. some of the electric outlets is damaged. there are no enough car parking for the hotel and they ask me to use other hotels parking with moor cost $34/night.

It's location. The staff couldn't care less. And the rooms are very small paper thin walls with wooden floors so if someone is above you or next door it sounds like they are in the room with you. Horrible place would never stay there again.

Small rooms, ancient hotel, no a/c, right on a busy street and you could hear traffic clearly even with all windows closed, cramped bathroom, lack of supplies like toilet paper, no parking (got a $64 parking ticket because the city didn't want parking Tuesdays, Thursday, and Saturdays from 3am-5am; who cleans their streets every day every week every month on that schedule?), fruit flies buzzing around the continental breakfast and coffee that could stop a train.

The location near Santa Monica's beach and the cool décor of the room. The bad sound insulation of the room. The people in the room upstairs were quite loud and we could hear them talking and going to the bathroom.

Wonderful site, loved the arrangement of the suites as well as the plants and shrubs! Would most defintely want to stay there again. There was nothing that I disliked. Parking arrangements were not ideal, but there was nothing that the staff could do about that. Had little interaction with staff, so gave them a good. The gardener was a nice guy.

Great location in Santa Monica, next door to a hotel which probably charges 3g as much per night. 1 minute walk from the pier, 2-3 minutes from the main shopping streets/mall Continental breakfast isn't too fancy, but if you need a glass of orange juice and a muffin to tide you over when you wake up, then this fits the bill. Walls are very thin, pretty noisy as a result. Bathroom was cold and draughty due to windows being loose in the frame. Bathroom smelt a bit musty/mouldy really. It was ok, but for the price per night, I think the whole place needs a bit of a freshen up really.

I liked how close to everywhere I wanted to go it was. The parking situation was dumb. They made us park on the street Saturday night. & we had to move the car so as not to get a ticket Sunday morning at 9am. The night guy could have kept our keys & moved the car blocking other guests instead of making us park on the street! He was not helpful. Being on the street side, traffic was a bit annoying.

Central location and size of the rooms. We booked a junior suite but there was plenty of room for our family. Good wardrobe size to put all of our luggage away. Breakfast was less than expected but you are so close to lots of different places to eat that it is not really a big issue. On site parking is limited.

“The staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Location was good and Hotel provided a shuttle on the hour for drop off and pick up. Ihop next store was excellent value for food, the pancakes were awesome!!!. There is a bus service which provides a service all night aprox every 2 mins, at the low cost of $1 per trip, even less for seniors as well as day passes. The Hop on Hop off busses are great value, just remember to keep an eye on the timetable.” Mechelle, Sydney |

“Really nice rooms, good location. I stayed here purely as a crash-pad after a trans-Atlantic flight from LHR to LAX, with a drive to Palm Desert the next day. So I didn't do much, other than sleep, watch TV, and order room service. The lady who answered the room service number, was amazing, she brought Pizza menus to my room then ordered the pizza for me brilliantly (I gave her pretty vague instructions - "just get me a few slices of whatever is good, some pepperoni-ish one and something a bit more veggie"). She was the nicest staff member there. The front desk staff were fine, efficient, etc. Wi-fi was free, which I really rate highly (in fact, it's a tie-breaker if I'm choosing hotels on booking.com)” Ashley, London |
