Room is small, just basic
Good location, next to a picturesque canal and many shops and restaurants. Room was very clean, and was properly cleaned daily.
- Shower would turn cold after 2 min of use, and you have to wait 5-10mins to get your next 2 mins of hot water. So for two people to have a shower in the morning was quite a lengthy procedure (and it's cold to wait for that hot water to come back!!!) - Bed is really bad, it's like a hammock. I got a stiff neck after 2 nights sleeping in that bed. - The room is very very small: one double bed, one small armchair and one small bedside table. - No tea/coffee facilities in the room. - Way too expensive for what you get! For the same price you can have a large room in a hotel right next to the White house. (We were attending a large conference, and booked at this hotel because many other ones were already booked out for the dates we needed).
it is a great location with many shops, restaurants and bars around
the wifi was not working mostly, the bed was loud when turning, breakfast a little poor und personnel present only a few hours during the day.
Location is good. My was clean.
My room was very small, and did not have the usual comfort in a hotel: no desk, no closet, no chair. The continental breakfast was very frugal, just juice, coffee, bread, butter, cheese and jam.
Not much - location was the only thing I "liked" since it was close to where I needed to be.
No parking - even across the street as instructed was a problem. No front desk - no one answered at first when we rang the front doorbell. No help getting suitcases down odd corridors to get to rooms. Breakfast was meager at best. No ice. No internet included. Teeny tiny room with nowhere to put your suitcase, let alone turn around. Picture on line of room is a bit deceiving. Room is difficult to navigate to. The price was very high for what you get. I would never stay there again
The location is excellent
Perfect location to everything. And inexpensive.
Quaint and cozy, but the room we stayed in was VERY small. And the 2nd bed was a fold-away.
Location, ease of access, feels like a home which it is...
Breakfast, only white bagels and bread... can do a bit better I think with more healthy choices should have glasses in the bedroom and a welcoming bottle of water would be nice.
Good location, new bathroom with shower and clean. A good place to stay if you don't need all the frills of a large hotel
If you need a full service hotel this Inn does not provide these.
The room was clean and size was ok. Good wifi connection. The location almost outweighted all negatives.
The bed was rather awful, made terrible noise just when getting in and out of bed. The shower was among the worst experience ever, almost no power and the hot water was finished after 1,5 minutes!
Pleasant staffmand a good continetal breakfast.
I did not have a drinking glass or cup in my bedroom/bathroom which I am sure was an oversight.
Nice location next to canal.
Breakfast was a bit limited.
Georgetown is a stunning location The hotel wasn't overly expensive It was pretty clean
The guy on reception wasn't very helpful nor friendly. We booked a room for 3 people and it was extremely small and cramped. The breakfast consisted of only bread and bagels. One day our room wasn't cleaned
The hotel is in great place, conveniently located in very nice neighborhood. Staff is friendly, helped us with few small issues.
The rooms are really very small. If you put luggage on the floor there is no place to stand. The breakfast is very limited, just three types of bread, cream cheese and butter. Not fruits, no eggs, nothing of this kind
The location is prime, the room is small but clean. For the value of the location, it is worth it, just don't bring too many luggage.
They offered a breakfast, might as well not even mention it. Not much of breakfast, maybe just offer coffee and tea but with milk or cream( I like milk in my coffee).
Location was excellent for my purposes. It was quiet re both inside and outside noise. Quantness -- reminiscent of B&Bs I have stayed in in the UK
room was small and the shower water was very difficult to regulate the temperature.
Location was great, nice and quite place. The Staff (Maria and Wendy) were very nice with me and they explained me how to get some places in WA. Everything was very clean. Canal Inn is near of foggy bottom metro station (8 minutes in bus). There are many good restaurants in the area.
The shower had different levels, sometimes very cold and sometimes very hot. The breakfast is very "basic". Just bread, juice and coffee.
Location is nice, close to the white house and Lincoln memorial (20 - 30 minutes walk). Georgetown is a pretty European style place with small beautiful and colorful buildings. Canal Inn is just next to a canal.
Very small room for three people, we are not tall, but we had trouble sleeping in small noisy beds. Don't look at pictures, they don't show the real size. Breakfast is also very minimal. I stayed at both motels and hotels before, so I feel angry when I pay for a hotel and I get something which is really a low quality motel.
Facilities clean and neat, nothing fancy but fine by us. Situated a short walk from the bus hop on/off yellow line stop & makes it easy to get to in a lovely area.
When we arrived a note on the door told us to phone for staff to come - overseas travellers don't always have this ability. 8:30am breakfast was late and we left without as the bus was due at 9:04, too much to see & do to be waiting til mid morning.
The room was small for the value of money
Location was great
They didn't even have a person at the reception. You had to call them for the keys etc.
nothing but location
we arrived at 10.30 pm door locked no staff present in spite of tel. no. notice pinned to door no answer to numerous calls from helpful café canali next door they said this often happens gave up after midnight took taxi to nearby holiday inn only $50 more + swimming pool much better value in our opinion you should take them off your list
good place to stay for a couple of days
Really good location in Georgetown with restaurants and shop really close by. Beds really comfy and the cleaning of the room was excellent! Overall the hotel seemed clean.
Small room and no wardrobe or chest of drawers to put your clothes (though it wouldn't have fitted anyway). Very poor breakfast. No shelves in bathroom and very varied temperature on the water during showering...
Location was great. Close to M St, bus stop, harbor and Georgetown University. Staff were friendly and helpful, booked a shuttle service to Dulles Airport for me and also checked me in online for my flight and printed the boarding pass.
To get into the building you need to press the door bell and wait. The office is in the basement, as is the breakfast room. The bed(s) in Room 8 were in the loft and the bathroom was downstairs.
