Georgetown is a stunning location The hotel wasn't overly expensive It was pretty clean
The guy on reception wasn't very helpful nor friendly. We booked a room for 3 people and it was extremely small and cramped. The breakfast consisted of only bread and bagels. One day our room wasn't cleaned
The hotel is in great place, conveniently located in very nice neighborhood. Staff is friendly, helped us with few small issues.
The rooms are really very small. If you put luggage on the floor there is no place to stand. The breakfast is very limited, just three types of bread, cream cheese and butter. Not fruits, no eggs, nothing of this kind
Location was great, nice and quite place. The Staff (Maria and Wendy) were very nice with me and they explained me how to get some places in WA. Everything was very clean. Canal Inn is near of foggy bottom metro station (8 minutes in bus). There are many good restaurants in the area.
The shower had different levels, sometimes very cold and sometimes very hot. The breakfast is very "basic". Just bread, juice and coffee.
The room was small for the value of money
Location was great
They didn't even have a person at the reception. You had to call them for the keys etc.
nothing but location
we arrived at 10.30 pm door locked no staff present in spite of tel. no. notice pinned to door no answer to numerous calls from helpful café canali next door they said this often happens gave up after midnight took taxi to nearby holiday inn only $50 more + swimming pool much better value in our opinion you should take them off your list
good place to stay for a couple of days
Really good location in Georgetown with restaurants and shop really close by. Beds really comfy and the cleaning of the room was excellent! Overall the hotel seemed clean.
Small room and no wardrobe or chest of drawers to put your clothes (though it wouldn't have fitted anyway). Very poor breakfast. No shelves in bathroom and very varied temperature on the water during showering...
Location was great. Close to M St, bus stop, harbor and Georgetown University. Staff were friendly and helpful, booked a shuttle service to Dulles Airport for me and also checked me in online for my flight and printed the boarding pass.
To get into the building you need to press the door bell and wait. The office is in the basement, as is the breakfast room. The bed(s) in Room 8 were in the loft and the bathroom was downstairs.
The staff is good, and the place is excellent for staying.
Couldn't get a more central location for Georgetown! Staff was always helpful when asking about public transit Breakfast included is a plus
Wi-fi only worked in specific places in the room and was extremely slow
Hot water ran out in shower.
perfect location for low price
I was attacked by Bed Bugs. I have nearly 75 bites. I had to go to the doctor as I required a shot of Bendryl.
Great location and comfort loved it
amazing location, very clean
room a bit basic
Perfect location by the canal in the middle of Georgetown. Nice and quiet. OK rooms.
The most meager breakfast we have ever seen. Luckily it isn't far from the nearest Starbucks.
It was right off the towpath, the Inn was cute and located in the historical part of Georgetown.
The staff is basically non-existant after 12 p.m. We arrived at 4:00 pm did not get into our room until about 8:30 pm ~ a hassle of phone calls, non working keys and getting someone to drive into town to let us in the room.... breakfast was coffee, tea, oj, toast and 3 different bagels. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend this business. We were not at all happy with our expierence.
It felt like the small inns I've stayed at in Europe. Very simple, comfortable, with a lot of privacy. I was relaxed there. Staff was accommodating when I needed breakfast, particularly coffee, before their normal offering time.
Breakfast starts at 8:30. (However, the staff made accommodations, so I had some coffee and toast before my 8:30 meeting).
Location was excellent, nice room and helpful staff
As I had the front-(street) room it was extremely noisy at night due to the patrons at the neighbouring restaurant ,traffic noise and the passing public-maybe something can be done about this-shame to spoil a good hotel.
Location, character and staff.
A small table to work at would have been nice
the location, is only steps from M street
it is not clean, and very small room
The location was fantastic. It is within walking distance of the monuments, the mall, & there are many very good restaurants in close proximity.
The room itself is rather "spartan", but, again, the location & staff more than offset the lack of amenities!
Great location. Small but comfortable
not clean not comfort cost is high
