Very central location, near union square so you can easily get transport to explore other areas of the city. Room was clean and spacious.
This accommodation is fabulous and very clean indeed, I booked a room for four people which turned out to be a little on the small side, but at the end of the day you only sleep and shower in it. It is a time share so be aware of the sales tactics! I would definitely stay here again, the location is ideal.
I have nothing to complain about it was a fabulous place to stay.
location clean quiet space
Very clean and tidy Good amenities Close to public transport Staff very professional
Road facing room was very noisy, unable to sleep without eat plugs 1 bedroom Queen bed more of a double
Location, spacious room, helpful staff.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous. We were even able to leave our bag with them for 4 days prior to checking in.
There are no baths in any of the rooms, and with a small child this created some difficulty (however the shower in the room was quite large). Skip the 'free' breakfast unless you want to be badgered into buying a timeshare for several hours.
Hotel in a very good location clean and very well equipped.
Very clean & fairly spacious Laundry facilities are a very nice bonus
No storage space in the bathroom for anything. No restaurant or bar on site. The concierge expected me to leave my young children unattended in the room for 90 minutes while we listen to their timeshare sales pitch.
location was good , a really nice hotel in san fran would stay again
The location was very convenient. Close to Union Square, restaurants & public transport. Apartment clean, comfortable & well equipped. Free laundry facilities very handy since we have been on the road for several weeks
Staff will do their best to try to sell you a time share in this property
Great hotel for very good value for money. You get an appartment with lots of space and all amenities you need for a city trip.
No housekeeping during our 4 night stay there
Location was perfect convenient to transportation. Suite was spacious, spotlessly clean and amenities perfect. Fridge sink, dishwasher, etc.. Fitness room was well equipped and clean. Check in orientation was extremely helpful. Many restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely come back again
Bathroom just needed more light.
Beautiful, clean hotel
friendly, helpful staff, with every aspect of our stay
Location. Courteous and efficient staff. Rooms/suites were spacious, very clean and well equipped.
Pressure to attend a Wyndham Vacations presentation.
Close to everything, the subway was across the street.
Breakfast, but they tried. Fried doughnut logs are not really my taste!!
The sraff was awesome!
Lack of daily room cleaning and no on premise dining.
New, rich, very clean hotel with spacious rooms.
Poor sound insulation
Susan the Concierge was most helpful and all the staff were very friendly and helpful
The one bedroom unit was a little small for four people, but we survived.
Beautiful rooms, business facilities, staff, cleanliness, location, complimentary coffee and water, laundry facilities.
Kitchen in the suite was very convenient
Miscommunication between Canterbury and a car rental company ( regularly used by them) which resulted in inconvenience for all.
Good location, very comfortable and nicely decorated apartment. Very helpful concierge.
When I booked I thought this was a hotel, I didn't realise it was timeshare apartments. So this meant that our room was not cleaned while we were there, which was surprising. We were also invited to a 'Family & Friends' complimentary breakfast & presentation about the Wyndham group & told it would last 45 minutes. In actual fact it lasted nearly 3 hours and was a heavy-going sales pitch.
My two friends (a couple) and I stayed at the Canterbury for two nights to celebrate my birthday. We booked a one bedroom queen suite, which ended up being just the right amount of room for the three of us. The bedroom had a door which separated it from both the living area and bathroom, giving us a nice amount of privacy. The bathroom was quite large, but had only a shower. This was just a small inconvenience for us though (I was kind of looking forward to taking a bubble bath). The kitchenette came in handy and was generally suitable for some light cooking or reheating leftovers. We enjoyed having access to a microwave, coffee machine and mini fridge plus dishes and utensils. I slept on the sleeper sofa and found it reasonably comfortable, if a bit squeaky. The others said that the queen bed was nice. We were all very pleased with our view of the city from the ninth floor--we could even spot the Transamerica Pyramid from our window. Another highlight was the tasteful, modern decor in both the room and the hotel in general--definitely a cut above and true to the Wyndham style I've experienced before. The property was just a few minutes' walking distance from Union Square and all of downtown's sights, shopping, and dining. We left our car with valet for the entire weekend and either walked or took public transportation to everything we wanted to see (Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Park, Embarcadero, the Castro District, etc.). We all said afterward that we would stay at the Canterbury again without any hesitation. The location and home-away-from-home feeling made for a great birthday weekend trip.
I was forewarned from others' reviews that the Concierge would push the time share buy-in meeting quite aggressively, so was expecting it at check in. To their credit though, the staff I talked to backed off relatively quickly when I said that I wasn't interested and had other plans. This was the only time I was asked to attend.
Location is great, the Hotel is nice, our room was big. Everything was o.k, we really liked. I will recomend it!but telling people that doesn`t inlcude to clean your room in your price.
To clean my room was US150 per day!!! is crazy, so we didn`t clean x 4 days!! too expensive. !
