No coffee machine in the rooms and no coffee at the lobby
I had a nicely furnished large room with a very comfortable bed (executive king room).
Air conditioning makes the looby freezing cold. Breakfast is too expensive.
Centrally situated, a beautiful building and very helpful friendly staff. Was only staying the one night with my cousin and her daughter, but we all loved it. Clean, comfortable and the price was just right.
Location, decor, amenities, noise, restaurant and staff
Cleanliness, worn out and damaged, needs to be better maintained.
People were fabulous! Location is excellent and it is a great value

cleanliness, customer services, attention to detail.
This venue used to be a beautiful stand-alone boutique hotel. It is now part of Marriott and the atmosphere is distinctly different. The building is tired and old, room amenities are poor, breakfast is not offered (only self-serve coffee) and the service staff appear to be over-worked/under-staffed and not highly motivated to provide good service......A disappointing stay....
The lobby was pretty The concierge was helpful The workout center
Dirty hotel floors - smelled with debris We valeted the car and it was returned absolutely FILTHY (covered in mud) The hotel common halls smelled like skunk literally The facets in the bathroom had no screens on them so water sprayed everywhere
The room was huge!
My son lives only 2 blocks away so I stay here often. Room service is excellent. Breakfast came in 15-20 minutes! I also like the pre-order option for room service that comes exactly the time requested. The luggage room is convenient when we checked out so we could spend the rest of the day (& night) in the city.
Spacious, comfortable room and excellent food.
We have stayed before and found their advertised "old world charm" to be in evidence. This time, the horrid loud disco music drove us out.
Phillip at the front desk was very helpful. He also upgraded us to a larger room which was beautiful, very comfortable, and had a beautiful, spacious bathroom. Phillip also recommended a florist that was fantastic and very reasonable. The breakfast was very good and fast service, and large portions. We loved the mosaic both in the dining room as well as the reception. There are many personal touches in this hotel that made our stay a memorable experience.
The elevators were a bit confusing, as there are 2 entrances and also the lobby is lower than the street entrance.
Nice gym and lobby
Room smelled from moist or something
the room was clean. the bed was comfortable. the location was convenient (within walking distance to greenich village, chelsea). i loved the parisian cafe upstairs.
room service knocking on the door multiple times on the last day of my stay starting at a very early hour. they were very rushed to get me out. it was very agitating. i will mention that i did checkout on time. the bar was a terrible scene when i arrived back at the hotel late at night. very cheesy and not in keeping with the rest of the elegance of the hotel. i was also personally upset that the pool table was covered and not accessible when i arrived around midnight.
Very nice looking lobby. It is very old traditional style hotel.
Bathroom is too small.
Overall, a good stay at the Carlton. The room was a good size (for NY) and the hotel lobby is very nice. There is complimentary coffee and tea.
The staff from front desk to the hotel bar were exceptional. It will be my hotel of choice when I travel to NY from now on.
All staff were very helpful. Specifically the porter on the entrance to the hotel.
They tried to charge for a meal that we didn't have. But was sorted out.
Nice Town Hotel. Great Location.
AC doesnt work properly.
Location Exercise Room Demeanour of Staff: Very friendly and helpful
Quality of room, amenities, restaurant, menu were way below 4 star.
Very small, cramped room with outdated decor and a ridiculously small bathroom with a defective faucet in the tub and a very slippery tub.
They charged me something from minibar which I did not take it and I think the house keeping took it
Luxurious lobby. Stylish & comfortable old world decor. Fantastic location. Close to subway and easy commute to all the attractions, yet quiet enough to retreat from the hustle & bustle. Great eateries close by. Knowledgeable & helpful concierge.
Shower plumbing a bit problematic - testy. Business center was stiflingly hot.
lovely spot for a night or two great value for Manhattan stay
rooms quite small for extended stay Lounge off the a little worn, might be time for a clean up
Mold in the bathroom, made guest sick
