I was offered yor limousine service but when the driver realised I was going to 99park Ave he refused. I would rather the offer had not been made.

It's a beautiful hotel in a luxurious location. The staff is very friendly.

We had requested early check-in and were guanranteed to have the first suite to clear and that we would be called when it became available. We never got the call so we arrived at the official check-in time (3:30pm). We didn't get the suite until 5pm and we had fridge stuff in our luggage (therefore the suite with kitchenette). From being promised early check in to getting the room 1.5hrs after official check-in was very disappointing, not to mention that that 1.5hrs came with promises of the room being ready "in the next 10mins" and this promise was repeated every 10min for the 1.5hrs we waited on site without ANY kind of compensation. The heating in the room didn't work. Engineers came but it was never properly fixed. Housekeeping made mistakes every day. Either they forgot to replenish shampoo or make the additional bed that had just been put in by another department, or to take out the rubbish. One expects lower quality for money in NYC but these types of mistakes when one pays $1000USD/night are unacceptable.

Price of parking was a little outrageous, the hotel should subsidize some of that fee.

Upon arrival, even though we had asked for two beds, the room that we were given had only one king-sized bed. I called the front desk and after they checked, they moved us to a two bedroom suite. It was a remarkable suite and the service was fantastic. I will stay there again when next I travel to ny.

Stairs at entrance. I have a problem going up and down stairs. However, since this is the only, and I do mean only, thing I didn't like about the hotel, I feel it is a very small inconvenience.

Sounds and voices from the adjoining room (908) could easily be heard in our room (907) -- surprising, at the Carlyle. Also, our neighbor -- or someone nearby -- smoked, and the odor migrated rapidly to our room. Evidently the housekeeping crew assigned to our room was new, because they failed to provide slippers for one of us, along with the bedside floor mat on one side. On the other hand, a housekeeping supervisor stopped by the room to inquire if everything was okay. When we told him about this oversight, it was quickly corrected.

The Carlyle is for mature travelers. It is a peaceful island on a loud, hectic island. Everything and everyone is what great hotels were and should be. All of the staff treat small requests the same as large request, they do it and without making you feel like it was anything but a pleasure. And I note, no overdone thank yous, which to me always seemed contrived. I am sure there are some other hotels similar to The Carlyle, but I like the atmosphere, I feel like when I walk into the hotel, it is my hotel, my home, not a lobby full of people off the street, hanging out for what ever reason..

Расположение отличное, можно относительно быстро добраться до всех культовых достопримечательностей, при этом совершать утренние пробежки в центропарке. На этом плюсы и заканчиваются.

Отель нуждается в самом обычном ремонте, как и персонал )). Доходит до того, что ночами в номере шумит "чужая" вентиляция. Соотношение цена/качество неприемлемо. Максимум 3,5 звезды.

Hôtel très cher On avait demandé une chambre sur Aveneu madison et on a eu une chambre donnant sur une cour enfermée au dessus de l'appareillage central de climatisation très bruyant et malsein. Climatisation de la chambre très bruyante.

The room was pretty small for the money, but well furnished and clean. The staff was very friendly.
