The room was great

The staff was very friendly and the place itself is beautiful. We felt very welcome and at home. The sea and country side are gorgeous.

The hot water for tea had a slight coffee taste.

Friendly staff , quiet location, Wi-fi, and a wonderful breakfast. Unlike other older BB that I've been to this Building had a fresh smell.

Bed pillow had red stains on one and long blonde hairs on the other (not mine). In addition there was hair in the bathroom sink (again not mine) and Items that were in the closet look as if they were just tossed in there.

Staff is vey friendly. Very beautiful and traditional house. The house is very photogenic.

The hotel was a bit tired and rooms were at best adequate. Ours did not even have a TV and was still not cheap. The whole area was somewhat run down.

Almost everything. Wonderful owners, blessed with great staff. A real character building deep in history, as is the area. Great for nearby Pebble Beach golf courses. Clean, quiet location, close to the sea with a lovely garden. Welcome drink and very satisfying breakfast. Recommended and would definitely stay there again. An absolute pleasure.

Only that our particular bedroom was slightly small with all our baggage, but very manageable. Also, it was our choice to take the cheapest option - so this is a very minor observation. However, there are other bigger and super rooms if you want to pamper yourselves. Obviously more exxy, but for honeymooners rooms 31 & 32 at the top are quite lovely + there is a super garden cottage with a large lounge where two or three couples could congregate in private.

Loved the loft room and its view of the ocean, although it was a bit pricey.

Could only open the windows on one side of the room so could get no cross ventilation. It was a little stuffy in the room.

The Inn is a beautiful building, with appropriate furnishings and an ambience that is very welcoming. The staff that we met were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great also. Location was perfect in terms of the beach and also the main shopping/dining street in Pacific Grove.

It was a little expensive considering our twin room had two very small single beds.

Danielle and the rest of the staff are wonderful. We'll definitely book again. The Centrella was part of our honeymoon, and our room was full of roses and had champagne in it. The hotel was perfect.

Our room and bath were smaller than we expected. Difficult even to "live out of a suitcase" (it was on the floor the whole time).

It was near the water, close to shops. Beautiful houses in area. Very friendly, accomadating staff. The wine hour was nice.

no down side to anything. Maybe parking but realize you cant do anything about that.

Quaint and comfortable and a great location in Pacific Grove. Excellent breakfast, close to restaurants and 17 mile drive. Complimentary drinks and savouries each evening. This is a heritage listed Hotel so don't expect gleaming tiles and designer rooms but in all other respects 5 star

I can only reiterate the comments made in your most helpful review! We loved everything about Centrella Inn. The staff were great - I even have the recipe for their delicious scones now! Recommendations for eating out in Pacific Grove were very good. The walk along the seafront to Monterey was amazing and gave us the opportunity for our own David Attenborough moment - the birth of a harbour seal pup! What more could anyone want?

This is a house that was built in the 1800s and has immense character. It is situated in a quiet part of Pacific Grove and ideal for exploring the Monterey Peninsula. It is convenient for the beach and for shops and restaurants.

We all liked Danielle, your receptionist in a.m. for her graciousness,honesty and integrity,(i gave too much money for night,She promptly brought it to my attention), and her super sense of humor.

The staff were very friendly, the wine and snack service was very nice and breakfast was huge and delicious. The locations was also excellent with lots of restaurants nearby.

The room was rather small, pillows very hard and lack of T. V. on super bowl weekend a bit disappointing.
