The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square  

Très bien situé. Hotel moderne, personnel avenant. Piscibne adéquate Restos excellents mais chers. Tout proche de la rivière et de Havard Square.

Plutôt cher mais c'est Boston....

Room service menu could be better.

The staff were responsive to my needs. When I requested a kettle to make tea, they instantly provided one. It was cleaned well. The gym was excellent.

The only quibble I have and it's minor is that the maid took the packet containing the tea bags with which I made my tea. She must have thought it was empty. A trifle over-enthusiastic in the cleaning.

We came early off the night train from DC and asked if we could store our luggage before check-in; the lady at the front said she would look to see if there was a room available for us then. There was and we were able to settle in early then go about the town. I was very impressed that she took the time to see if there was a room; most places will just take your luggage and have you come back at the regular time. Our room was perfect; my son especially loved the mirror TV in the bathroom. We had plenty of room for our belongings (we were there five days) and enough outlets for all our electronics. The halls were always quiet and no evening noise at all! I love the location of the hotel. My son was able to walk around Harvard Square without my being worried; I'm not sure I would have let him do so in Boston. The hotel is close to the T, so getting around wasn't an issue for us (and I'm not a big walker). We ate dinner at Henrietta's Table our last night; it was very good locavore fare. My son loved the pumpkin tart! We got a good rate through booking.com; I will definitely stay here again with my family.

Everything about this hotel except price of course. The location is excellent if you are planning on visiting Harvard University. All the shopping and eating places are within walking distance. Interesting card reader for each door works like a scanner. Also has a hidden TV in the bathroom mirror.

Nothing really other than the price, but this hotel is top notch!!

outdated ,waterpressure was bad ,the bathroom lighting was really bad.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable and convenient to Harvard Square. Would stay there again the next time I am in town visiting.

We loved everything about the hotel.

We were quoted $204 per night and were charged more each night than that. A small amount given the overall charges, but untrue.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. I like to lobby with bookcase and stairs. It is very cozy and warm.

Location was great. Hotel was quiet and comfortable.

Great hotel, great atmosphere, great bar at the heart of Harvard Square. Will definitely return.

Excelent location, ideal rooms, good service.

Paid $199 for the first night, but when I wanted to stay another night, they raised the rat to $299 per night. I moved to a more budget friendly b & b for the second night.

The hotel is very confortable, nicely decorated and very well located for someone visiting Cambridge without car.

The parking is very expensive in the hotel and around the hotel.

Comfort, size, temperature control

No ice - must be delivered from room service for a nominal fee. View of gravel rooftop. No i-pod dock.

Excellent location at the center of Harvard Square with very nice restaurants. Overall design of the room is nice and comfortable.

Air conditioning not cold enough. No coffee maker, cup or small plate in the room. Lighting inside the bathroom is kind of dark, difficult for ladies who want to put on makeup!

I loved just loved those double beds ! So soft ,so comfortable ! I would take them home ! And I loved also the swimming pool and the jacuzzi . And I definitely want to come back !
