the restaurant was only open until 8:00pm and only 4 days. The large bar area was "closed for the season".
Front desk told me we could leave our car parked the morning after while we went to the Trop to get breakfast, however valet said we had to move it because they were closing for a few days? Confusing.
I liked the room, and my view to the ocean. It was a very comfortable stay for the rate.
I was overcharged for my stay, and though I tried to explain to the staff their error they spoke to me as if I was trying to get over on them. And questioning if I read their security deposit. Maybe they should listen to their customer issues instead of approaching situations with an ill- manner. If you stay here please check your bank statements before you leave!

Hidden fees!!! Security fee of $125/day to be held on card was not mentioned at booking; Very thin walls and doors connecting rooms - children from the other room were very loud screaming, knocking on the connecting door, and banging on the walls; Room was sooo hot!!! Thermostat did not adjust temperature in room no matter how much we tried; No microwave so we had to constantly spend money on food instead of hearing up leftovers; Restaurant closed hours early because of little amount of patrons, therefore we had to leave the hotel and eat elsewhere.
My room was exceptionally warm and we couldn't adjust the temperature. We finally called the front desk & within 5 mins the maintenance mgr came to repair it. Because the nozzle was broken, we were upgraded to a full 1 bedroom penthouse with a corner view of the city and boardwalk. Win! Win! George and Chris were awesome!
I arrived after midnight and the desk person was cordial but not welcoming. They also hadn't properly changed my pricing information and i had to spent 15 mins looking through emails to prove the change. Yvette (NYC)
The hotel was great! We have been all over, and I have to say we have never experienced customer service like at The Chelsea.
The atmosphere of the boardwalk was a totally different crowd then what we are used to.
The staff/bell boys were helpful. I also liked the fact I wasn't staying in the annex side.

Ac didnt work at all. Called front desk they sent a maintance guy. He reset the thermostat and it statred working as per himself. The ac started making werid noise . So had to turn it off opened the window. Slept all night in a humid room.be reminded here that it was more than 100$ room.On the other side the showers are sprinklers. Took almost 30 mins to take shower. Next morning informed front desk about the terriable night that we had. They politely ignored it without saying sorry or something. The hotel might be nice for some but trust me you can find better place one block away with free breakfast and parking.

Comfortable bed Good shower
No complimentary coffee or tea in room or in lobby. Noisy air con/ heat. When it came on the unit rattled and shuddered. Wifi was slow.

The stains on the curtains and the broken pieces of the furniture. The Windows couldve been more clean

I want to start off by saying, I have stayed at many of the Atlantic City hotels. I often come to Atlantic City bc it's one of my favorite places to visit. Upon arrival, we asked one of the guys if there was self parking. He stated that Chelsea did not have that and made it very clear that they expect a tip. When me and my partner left the hotel we clearly saw a self parking sign around the corner. When we went to check in, we had a few billing questions. The lady at the desk seemed annoyed and not so friendly. The rooms were nice but the hallways seemed a bit outdated. When we left to check out, we had to wait to see if we touched the stuff in the refrigerator and candy displayed on top. They need a better system. Also waiting for our car was an inconvenience. Bc had I parked in the self parking area, I would of been on my way. No I will not be staying at The Chelsea hotel again.
Just wanted to get away for the weekend and this seemed like the perfect spot. The price was on par with the service. Room service was excelent al thought they didn't have what I really wanted, the alternative was great! Somewhere I would definitely book again.
I have to say, I am glad I didn't pay attention to some of the mixed reviews of this hotel. I was meeting a party at Carmine's at 5 pm, so I wanted to check in and shower and get over to dinner. Check in was simple, fast, and easy. And I got a penthouse suite! Had a beautiful view of the ocean. Room was impeccably clean, the shower was great, and the bed - so comfortable. Would stay here again and I plan on it!

air conditioning was not working well, and we were there on a cool weekend. Average temp in room was 77, despite temp being adjusted.
room was comfortable, clean, with a very nice view on seaside with access to the beach only a very short walk away.
staff was very busy, not paying attention, getting in the room without knocking Nothing comes complimentary with a $280/day room, no breakfast, $15 per person and per time for the jacuzzi, $15 per day parking (free parking is far away). It really adds up quickly with a family, and it is not worth all the extra prices! I will pick a different place next time.
Overall, decent location next to boardwalk. Wi Fi costs extra. The hotel looks a bit old.
They don't state anywhere that you have to leave a deposit when you check in. They blocked a deposit on two of my credit cards. At check out they didn't unblock the deposit.
Only complaint is that for the 2nd time they keep forgetting to take the "hold" off my credit card for the room deposit which apparently is several hundred dollars. Weeks later my card was denied somewhere due to two separate holds on card since I was there twice that month! Make sure after you checkout that they take the hold off next day.
