The check in procedure was pretty fast.We got complomentary break-fast too.Since we stayed only for a night we couldnot explore other facilities in the hotel.Overall it was a good value for money. Althogh we had to park our own vehicle at 111 e.Whacker Avenue,it would have been nice if valet services are availbale,both checkin and checkout times,we felt this need. |

Ideally located, in the north of the Loop and very close to all major sights, including Michigan Avenue for shopping, Millenium park, etc. The price is very reasonable for a city like Chicago! A bit loud. |

It was easy walking distance to theaters, stores, restaurants, nice view of the river, and it was a great value for the price. We payed an extra $15.00 for an upgrade to a suite for one of our rooms,which really payed off since we were travelling with another couple. Getting ice was a bit of a hastle. |

I absolutely loved your hotel...I have already recommended it to many people..However, we were able to get the winter rate of 89.00. We probably could not afford the regular rates..It is truly a gem of a hotel, in the heart of everything. Staff was superb. |

The modern and clean feel of the room. Also convenience of the location. It felt very safe and secure. The satin cover on the quilt does not help it stay on the bed during the night. |

It was very quiet which was a pleasant surprise for a city hotel. The staff was courteous and attentive. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room had a large armoire with sufficient number of hangers for clothing. Overall, I felt this hotel offered excellent value in comparison to other hotels within a few blocks of it (I wasn't looking for a hotel with a spa or a lounge, but wanted something clean, comfortable, and quiet with good service, and good value for the price, and I got everything I was looking for. My only comment re: the booking service is that you should indicate that the property also includes the Club Quarters, because nobody I talked with in Chicago (including my cab driver) was familiar with the name River Hotel but they knew the name Club Quarters. It was confusing to me and to them because I didn't realize we were talking about the same property. |

Convenient location in downtown Chicago, felt as safe as can feel in big city, ie (hotel not located in back alley or other questionable/unsafe areas of city). Nice bar and restaurant located in hotel. Quiet and private on eighth floor, even with being located downtown. Valet parking made it easy to retrieve vehicle anytime, 24/7. Booked room w/ kitchenette, did not get kitchenette. Bed was very uncomfortable....literally like sleeping on a rock. No extra bedding, pillows, or towels. There was a "self-serve" closet on most floors for some extras, but it wasn't stocked very well. We called front desk for a clothes iron, but it was of questionable quality. We ended up not using it because we didn't want to take a chance to ruin our clothes. So if anyone is looking for the ultimate in service and pampering stocked w/ all the kitchen, bathroom, & bedroom "luxuries" this hotel does not quite deliver. But above all the bed was the worst feature of the stay. Very uncomfortable. Like sleeping on a rock or at best the cold hard ground. |

Modernized decor and fixtures with quiet hallways and a nice view of the river and bridges. The filtered water was a bonus. Free wifi worked fine. Baggage check held my bulky luggage between checkout and a late day flight was a great convienience. Coffee or similiar splatters on the bathroom wall. Heater fan was somewhat noisy. |

big spacious room, we had 2 bathrooms for 4 people, view to the river, great location in the center, shopping areas all in walking distance, very helpful staff, as our flight back was late afternoon we could even keep our room until 1pm for free |

The location is perfect. We really liked the fresh water taps in the hall. At first, we had a small room in which the airconditioning was blowing cold air all the time, even though it was off. When we mentioned this to the hotel staff, we got another room which had a beautiful river view. |
