River Hotel  

Beautiful location on the Chicago River and seconds from Michigan Ave. Very convenient

I booked well in advance for a superior room with a kitchenette which essentially includes a microwave oven and a bar fridge in a more spacious room which is perfect for a few days stay. On arrival late at night I was informed that this room was not available. I was given a very small but pleasant room with just a bed and bathroom. I was also given a breakfast voucher. While I was not happy to be told this on arrival, at my request, the hotel did move me to the room I had booked the next day. I can only assume that I was bumped the first night. Not a good start but the issue was resolved.

The room though very small was very clean, recently updated and very efficient.

Great location, nice view from the window, room where I stayed rather small, but sufficient for one person, comfortable and very clean, good connection between the ord airport and the hotel,

Breakfast not included in price (I guess typical for the us), and only a la carte.

We loved the location,ease of parking and check-in. The lobby is beautiful. We loved the economy of space and euro decor of the rooms. All the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. The rates were reasonable and we received an upgrade upon arrival. The downstairs restaurant was also good with friendly and efficient service. This will be our go to hotel in future visits to Chicago. I had read reviews complaining about the size of the rooms. If they are smaller, one doesn't feel it because everything is so well organized and there is no wasted space. Loved the bathroom. We loved being able to walk to everything.The rooms were very quiet. Ours had a view of the river skyline and lower Michigan Ave. that was fantastic.

Location is fabulous. Very professional reception and staff. Clean contemporary styled rooms. Smaller than the us type but equal to a good European sized room.

Location was fabulous. Very comfortable. This is our third stay at River Hotel/Club Quarters in Chicago. We plan to return when visiting family in the City.

There were so many things that we loved about the River Hotel. The location was in the heart of downtown Chicago, so we were able to explore the area by walking. The room itself was beautiful and very well cleaned. Also, the staff was very helpful in directing us to places to eat, entertainment, and nightlife.

Functionally and superbly designed hotell. Great location and friendly and helpful staff and very comfortable bed which was a plus.
