River Hotel

Ideally located, in the north of the Loop and very close to all major sights, including Michigan Avenue for shopping, Millenium park, etc. The price is very reasonable for a city like Chicago!

The always available free spring water in bottles, free wi-fi that is so easy to use, the location is superb, the refrigerator and microwave

The modern and clean feel of the room. Also convenience of the location. It felt very safe and secure.

The satin cover on the quilt does not help it stay on the bed during the night.

It was close to resuarants and stores, rooms were bigger then expected.

Convenient location in downtown Chicago, felt as safe as can feel in big city, ie (hotel not located in back alley or other questionable/unsafe areas of city). Nice bar and restaurant located in hotel. Quiet and private on eighth floor, even with being located downtown. Valet parking made it easy to retrieve vehicle anytime, 24/7.

Booked room w/ kitchenette, did not get kitchenette. Bed was very uncomfortable....literally like sleeping on a rock. No extra bedding, pillows, or towels. There was a "self-serve" closet on most floors for some extras, but it wasn't stocked very well. We called front desk for a clothes iron, but it was of questionable quality. We ended up not using it because we didn't want to take a chance to ruin our clothes. So if anyone is looking for the ultimate in service and pampering stocked w/ all the kitchen, bathroom, & bedroom "luxuries" this hotel does not quite deliver. But above all the bed was the worst feature of the stay. Very uncomfortable. Like sleeping on a rock or at best the cold hard ground.

Modernized decor and fixtures with quiet hallways and a nice view of the river and bridges. The filtered water was a bonus. Free wifi worked fine. Baggage check held my bulky luggage between checkout and a late day flight was a great convienience.

Coffee or similiar splatters on the bathroom wall. Heater fan was somewhat noisy.

big spacious room, we had 2 bathrooms for 4 people, view to the river, great location in the center, shopping areas all in walking distance, very helpful staff, as our flight back was late afternoon we could even keep our room until 1pm for free

No frills, but good location and great deal for the price. Their staff was accomodating and nice, checking in/valet w/ luggage was a bit of a problem

I liked the water bottles available on each floor. I thought the room was very efficiently designed and well thought out.

The sign outside for the Hotel was almost impossible to find. The driving directions provided on the Booking.com website to the hotel were inaccurate, which was very frustrating. The bell hop was not very helpful when we arrived, but when departing the bell hop was excellent.

The value, beauty and quality of the hotel, and proximity to other attractions in the loop made this an ideal place. We'd love to return, and often.
